c'est son 1er voyage du coup j'aimerai assurer un peu.
du 15 au 30 avril arrivé Fes- Azrou- Ouzoud- Marrakech- vallée du Draa- M'Hamid (3 jours)- Skoura- Dades- Todra et retour a Fes.
je suis preneur d'infos sur l'hébergement, la location de voiture sur Fes, les endroits sympas a voir et si cette boucle en passant par la N307 et correct au niveau temps.

Joli circuit prévu. Mais circuit qui ne passe pas par la 307.La 307 va de Demnate à Skoura ou Ouarzazate.
Pour louer une voiture sur Fes, je ne peux pas te renseigner. Je loue toujours à Marrakech.
Mais je sais qu'il y a un poste là-dessus, je vais le chercher et le faire remonter. Il s'intitule De Fes à Skoura ou quelque chose comme ça.

Ouzoud, auberge camping Zébra, sympa.Calme.
Marrakech, hôtel Toulousain, au coeur de Guéliz.Calme.Bons petits déjeuners.
Skoura, gite kasbah la palmeraie, familial et chaleureux. Belle vue sur l'Atlas et la palmeraie . Excellent petit déjeuner : crêpes, pain maison.Produits du jardin.
Dadès, Miguirne , beau point de vue . Visites possibles au départ de l'auberge.
Todra, à l'entrée des gorges , hôtel La Vallée. Ou au-dessus de la palmeraie de Tinghir, Todra-Panorama, très bien aussi, mais plus cher.
A Mhamid, je n'ai pas d'adresse à conseiller.
A Fes, mes 2 séjours datent un peu, donc tu devrais trouver des infos plus récentes.
Un bon plan pas cher et sympa a Fes ... Les chambres doubles de l auberge de jeunesse.
15-16 euros/nuit avec le petit dejeuner.
A marrakech je trouve le toulousain un peu loin de la medina et je prefere les hotels situes a cote de la place djemaa el fna. Pour 18 a 24 euros la nuit en double.pour tentrer le soir a pied c est plus sympa.
Ouzoud . J ai apprecie aussi Zebra.
A tinherir je suis allee chez Issa. Tres bien.
Skoura idem chez ghislane et mohamed.la palmeraie. Tres gentils.

Partout dans les villages on trouve des hebergements en auberges avec 1/2 pension tres chouettes.

Voici ce qui fut notre 1er voyage au Maroc. En souhaitant que ça puisse vous aider.
Comme vous, on avait 2 semaines à y consacrer .En revanche, on avait atterri à Marrakech.
Dès notre arrivée, on a pris notre dacia logan et on s'est dirigé vers Skoura, au delà de Ouarzazate.On n'a rencontré aucun problème dans la traversée de l'Atlas, ça circulait normalement. Et c'était beau.Vers 17h, on a fait notre entrée dans la ville de Skoura, on avait pris soin de réserver au gite LA PALMERAIE.Mohamed nous a offert "le thé de l'hospitalité" avec des petits gâteaux préparés par sa femme.On est resté 4 jours dans cette famille, avec visite de kasbahs, visite du musée, visite de l'atelier du potier et achat d'un tajine, on s'est faire des babouches chez le cordonnier de la ville, de superbes babouches!On a appris à faire un tajine et on a continué notre route vers le Dades, puis on a fait une étape de 3 jours sur la route des gorges de Todgha, au-dessus de la palmeraie de Tinghir à la maison d'hôtes Todgha-Panorama, une très belle situation et là aussi un accueil attentif, mais en tant que femmes on a regretté de ne pas avoir de contact avec les femmes de la maison.Mais, ce sera comme ça dans toutes nos auberges sauf à Skoura où Ghislane est très présente aux côtés de son mari.On a fait de belles promenades dans la palmeraie et comme Mohamed à Skoura nous avait expliqué le partage de l'eau, les cultures, l'entretien des canaux, on en a bien profité...
Puis, on voulait passer une nuit en bivouac dans le désert, à dos de dromadaires, un grand moment, bivouac bien organisé par l'auberge L'OASIS, très pro et très sympa
Ensuite, on a mis le cap sur la vallée du Draa, nuit à Tamnougalt au Jardin, au calme et visite de la grande kasbah avec un guide de l'auberge...
Une dernière étape à AIT BENHADDOU, on craignait d'être harcelées par des rabatteurs mais pas du tout, le site est impressionnant de beauté, majestueux.
La fin du voyage, on l'a consacrée à la découverte de Marrakech, ses monuments, ses souks, ses jardins et la médina qu'on a beaucoup aimée.

mon idée : (mais sans m'engager sur un timing ) : fes - azrou- arrachidia - Merzouga - vallée du dades - skoura - Marrakech- Ouzoud - direct chefchaouen avec une halte entre deux si trop long - Fes
Meme apres peaufinage, votre programme me parait trop audacieux. Vous serez toujours sur la route.
N'oubliez pas qu'il est nécessaire de passer au minimum 2 jours pleins pour commencer à apprécier Fes ou Marrakech.
Les routes marocaines permettent des moyennes à peine supérieures à 50 en plaine et largement inferieures en montagne (et vous y serez en majorité).
2 semaines , ce n'est que 12 ou 13 jours utiles sur place.
En supprimant Marrakech et Chefchaouen , vous aurez de quoi vous arréter 2 jours au méme endroit, comme à Skoura par exemple, et de garder 2 jours pour la visite incontournable de Fes.
je dirais comme Fangui : fais toi un itinéraire de prévision et tu vois sur le terrain comment ça fonctionne et tu ajustes.
comme kelboulé je trouve que Chefchaouen est de trop.
Les conseils donnés ci-dessus sont pertinents. Il est inutile de réserver tes nuits. Tu préparés un canevas et sur place tu aviseras en fonction de l'intérêt que tu porteras à chaque étape. C'est le plus simple et le plus intéressant.

Je fais bcp de road trip et je m apercois que sur mes parcours de predilection j ai fait de belles rencontres qui perdurent dans le temps par la grace des "reseaux sociaux"... Et lorsque je repasse dana certains endroits ca devient magique....

Bonjour , en ce qui concerne le logement le mieux et le moins cher à mon avis c'est des appartements loués par des particuliers pour des nuités , généralement ça va de 10 Euro à 250 Euro selon la ville et surtout selon la période , mais à mon avis y'a pas moins cher et c'est ce que j'ai toujours pris personnellement , après pour le circuit il a l'air bien réfléchi , je vous souhaite un excellent voyage !

Les gorges de Todgha c'est hyper touristique. Bus et 4x4 s'y succèdent à longueur de journée surtout pendant les vacances.

After many trips to the south of Fès, I’m giving the north a try.
My plan is roughly to do a road trip loop from Rabat back to Rabat, passing through Asilah, Tangier, Tétouan, Chefchaouen, Akchour, Fès, Meknès, and Volubilis.
That’s a lot of cities.
Probably a bit too many for our taste—we usually prefer more isolated spots...
So I’m looking for tips on little backroads, secluded beaches, half-day hikes, and offbeat places.
If you’ve also got recommendations for accommodation... (We’re open to splurging over 100 € if it’s a real favorite.)

Then, when I mentioned I wanted to stay for two or three weeks—maybe even a month—explaining that my trip wouldn’t be strictly touristy but more of a pilgrimage to the places of my childhood, and that it would likely be a very emotional journey, I expected a positive and warm reaction to my approach. Instead, I suddenly stopped getting replies from the three or four people I’d contacted. So now I’m wondering about the reception former Pieds-Noirs can expect...
Anyone here who can share their experience of returning? I specified “recently” because it seems that right now, diplomatic relations between the two governments are extremely tense, not to say hostile... even if Macron claims otherwise...

- Does it need to cover the entire duration of the trip?
- Is this document mandatory for a hotel to rent a room?
- Is it checked during inspections?
- Is a hotel booking (e.g., via Booking.com) sufficient for the visa?
- If so, does it need to be paid in advance?
I plan to visit several cities and do one or more treks with a guide or agency.

I’m leaving for Tunisia in five weeks for a full 15-day trip. I’ll be arriving in Monastir and departing from there as well.
I’d like to do a route that’s a bit different from my first stay, which was more focused on cities and culture (Tunis, Sousse, Kairouan, El Jem).
I’ll be getting around by public transport.
I’d like to head south toward Tozeur, and I saw that you can take a *louage* from Monastir to Sbeitla (2h30). I imagine it’s not too complicated to get to Tozeur from there afterward? The issue is the return trip to Monastir and safety in Sbeitla.
If this route seems too complicated, I might opt for Djerba instead, which looks simpler.

Even though I come to Morocco four times a year, it’s been a long time since I’ve made the trip by car. I need to refresh my knowledge! I’ll be traveling in early October. I have a car that’s about 20 years old. The plan is to cross via Algeciras/Ceuta.

Day 1-2: Explore the city center, hike around Cap Spartel...
Day 3: Stop in Tetouan
Day 4-5-6: Chefchaouen and a day hike in the Rif Mountains
Day 6-7: Discover the city of Fes (I’ve heard so many great things!!)
Day 8: Stop in Meknes and possibly visit the historic site of Volubilis
Day 9-10: Rabat (I’ve heard mixed things... some good, some bad)
After that, I have the choice of heading back to Tangier for my return flight... or going down to Agadir (also a possible return flight) and extending my trip by 5 days :)
From what I can tell, everything is well connected by bus (CTM) or train (ONCF).
Another question: Is the vibe in Moroccan youth hostels for meeting people the same as what you’d find in Western Europe?

Tickets for entry to Majorelle Garden are only issued online via an official site
(though there are fraudulent sites out there). On the official site, they ask for legitimate info
(name, nationality, etc.). What made me go "hmm" was the request for both an email address
AND a password (with confirmation). Is this normal?

I aimed for an excursion to the Chigaga desert from M’Hamid because it seems less touristy and allows for a more compact loop. Is that a good idea? Is the drive to M’Hamid maybe too tedious?

A lot of people find it important to stick to their budget when traveling—not to skimp, but to visit as many places as possible since traveling is their hobby.
In this post, I want to share some tips for those coming to Morocco who want their trip to be budget-friendly.
1. Prebook everything: hotels or riads, car rentals, or tours. If you book these in advance, it’ll make your life easier. You won’t have to deal with hagglers or people trying to overcharge you for services that are available online for free. Use platforms like Booking, Expedia, carsrental.ma, Airbnb, and other booking services to get this done properly.
2. Exchange your money to Moroccan dirhams as soon as you land. 1 € is always a little over 10 dirhams, but many people get charged as if it were exactly 10 dirhams per euro.
3. When visiting an old site or the old medina, avoid talking to vendors and shop owners—they’re really good at getting your attention and making you overpay for things.
4. Ask your tour guide to buy things for you. Yes, they do get a commission, but you’ll probably pay way more if you buy something yourself that they can get cheaply.
5. Walk everywhere. You don’t need a taxi for every little trip. Pick a good location and walk—most Moroccan cities are safe during normal hours.
6. Buy your food, drinks, etc., from supermarkets at normal prices. They can’t overcharge you since they scan every product.

I’m planning my next trip outside Europe for next year, but unfortunately, I don’t have a choice with the dates—it’s late June to early July. Last year, I went to Japan for three weeks, and it was constantly 36-37°C with over 90% humidity. It wasn’t easy, but it wasn’t impossible either.
For Egypt, I know it’s a period to avoid if possible, but I’m thinking that by the sea, it might be manageable. Otherwise, I’ll consider another destination.

Day 5: Hurghada, then drive to Luxor in the early afternoon
Day 6: Luxor
Day 7: Luxor, then drive back to Hurghada in the late afternoon

For the Hurghada trip, either rent a car or—easier—a private car/van.
Is it worth adding an extra day in Luxor?

While reading up on southern Morocco, we’ve been drawn to the Aguinane oasis but I’m having trouble locating it on the map. Is it possible to get there without a 4x4?
