J'ai vu l'info hier soir au JT sur la 2 😠
Je m'en vais à Fès courant octobre et vu que leurs dispositions sont jusqu'à fin oct, je suis inquiète.
Par contre, il me semble que les vols impactés partent plutôt des bases "capitales", moi je pars de Province, mais cela ne fait rien, je suis inquiète quand même.
Si jamais il me font le "coup du père François", je ne prendrai plus jamais cette cie et continuerai à voyager avec la RAM quitte à devoir alligner les euros.
J'ai choisie de partir avec Ryanair car l'offre au départ de Marseille était très alléchante, 50eur l'AR, de plus la RAM ne propose pas Fès en vol direct.
Je me disais que décidément, il n'y a que les cie LC pour faire des annonces bidons de ce genre, aucune prise en compte de l'être humain à part le fric, le fric, le fric !!
Bon et bien, il n'y a plus qu'à attendre mais mine de rien, je stresse...🙁

Tu peux peut être essayer de les joindre ? Il faut dire que 50€ l'A/R ça ne permet pas de payer correctement le personnel et d'assurer la sécurité maximum , c'est peut être le debut d'un réajustement pour les LC . Bonne journée

Je suis entièrement d'accord avec toi Hannah, mais alors, il ne faut pas que les LC pratiquent ces tarifs si après ils décident de mettre les gens dans la merde...
Comme le disait très bien hier soir une passagère au JT, "quand on achète un billet d'avion, en quelque sorte, on passe un contrat avec la cie...".
J'accepte bien volontiers qu'une cie peut connaître des aléas (météo, grêves aiguilleurs et j'en passe...), mais il ne faut pas non plus, que comme c'est le cas cette fois-ci avec RYA que leur excuse soit bidon 🙁
Je veux bien que les LC augmentent leurs tarifs, mais si dans le futur c'est le cas, parlera t-on encore des tarifs LC si le billet coûte 1eur de moins que sur vol régulier ?

Ce qui serait mieux c'est d'avoir des retraites et des salaires qui nous permettent de voyager sur des lignes qui respectent le personnel , le droit du travail et lä sécurité des voyageurs .

Non helas ce n est pas demain la veille.
En attendant ce beau jour j essaie de vivre un peu.
Pour ceux qui comme nous ont des petites retraites , ou pour ceux qui ont de petits salaires il est évident que les LC nous permettent de voyager , mais ca n'empêche pas d'être clairvoyant sur la façon dont ces compagnies traitent leur personnel et notre sécurité .
Ryanair a été condamné à de nombreuses reprises , mais ils s'en moquent , et de plus ils traitent leur clients comme des chiens avec la suppression des vols jusqu'à fin octobre décidé de façon arbitraire .
Voili, voilou , c'était le coup de gueule de la soiree 😉

....l'ouverture du ciel européen à provoqué l'explosion des low costs....le trafic intra-européen se fait maintenant principalement avec des compagnies low cost, les grandes compagnies abandonnent ce marché, il n'y a plus rien à gagner pour elles.....

Je suis entièrement d'accord avec vous pour ce qui est de la multiplication des LC sur le réseau européen.
Certaines cies régulières pratiquent, de mon point de vue, d'excellents tarifs si on sais si prendre à l'avance... Cies que je privilégie et emprunte lorsque cela est possible.

J'ai acheté le livre de Sofia Lichani; je l'ai lu et relu, je l'ai trouvé très intéressant, et, me semble-t-il, honnête à l'égard de Ryanair. Evidemment beaucoup plus détaillé et moins superficiel qu'une interview de dix minutes, orientée par la préposée dans un sens systématiquement défavorable à la compagnie irlandaise.
Quelques remarques personnelles ... Non, Ryanair n'est pas le paradis pour ceux qui y travaillent - mais y a-t-il beaucoup d'entreprises qui sont un paradis pour leurs employés (de base, bien sûr, je ne parle pas des "cadres" et autres directeurs) ? Elle y est quand même restée cinq ans ... L'obligation de vendre pour un certain montant faute de quoi on se fait licencier : cela existe chez beaucoup d'employeurs, pas uniquement chez Ryanair, loin de là. Sofia Lichani explique d'ailleurs qu'elle savait s'y prendre pour vendre un maximum et que ses collègues trouvaient qu'elle en faisait trop ! Ryanair a quitté sa base de Marseille parce que la France lui faisait des ennuis, dans le but plus ou moins avoué de protéger Air France. Ryanair a conservé sans problème ses bases dans les autres pays européens, dans les conditions qui existaient à Marseille. Comme dit Sofia Lichani dans l'interview, Ryanair "impose" ses prix; c'est à dire que grâce à (ou à cause de) Ryanair, les autres compagnies ont dû baisser leurs prix; les usagers de ces compagnies devraient en être reconnaissants à Ryanair, mais ce n'est guère le cas - l'ingratitude humaine ...

Je ne doute pas Michel que vous en connaissez un rayon (bien plus que moi) sur les LC et j'ai lu avec attention & intérêt vôtre réponse.

Il faut quand même se mettre à la place de tous ces gens là qui, je pense pour un bon nombre, ne voudrons plus jamais voler sur LC. Si vous suivez de près les infos négatives quand cela arrive des LC, Vueling, Volotéa... ont fait elles aussi subir de sacrés coups dûrs à leurs passagers.
Comme je l'ai dit plus haut, les LC ont provoquées un tel chambourlement dans l'aérien que grâce à eux, les cies régulières ont baissées leurs prix et je les en remercie 😊 Voyez, je ne suis pas une ingrate.

Toujours 77.000 passagers en souffrance suite aux annulations de vols Ryanair, effectuées pour permettre à la compagnie d'afficher un taux de ponctualité de plus 90%.

Ce n'est pas étonnant , on commence à voir l'envers du décor de cette compagnie quî avait aussi envisagé de taxer les obèses, d'abandonner les toilettes dans les avions ou encore supprimer le droit de grève .
En ce moment leur proposition de remboursement est contraire au droit europeen .

En fait un concept de type "cash machine" basé sur des pilotes +/- mercenaires et des avions dans des sociétés "écran" ça donne la situation actuelle

Oui , une situation qu'on voudrait normaliser et nous faire accepter pour tout , mais voilà à pousser l'avion trop loin il finit par se crasher 😉
Les fonds de pension vont râler mais ils vont vite investir ailleurs .

Sans parler d'un management d'un autre monde , les conditions de sécurité au niveau du carburant , de la sortie du train d'atterrissage font frémir .
Quand à l'espèce de doublure de Trump qui dirige tout ça ...C'est hallucinant .

Since it came into force, Regulation 261/2004 of the European Parliament and Council, which defines air passenger rights, has faced fierce resistance from airlines, backed by IATA (the association representing almost all passenger airlines).
Beyond the airlines' often abusive—and even frequently bad-faith—resistance to passenger rights, IATA has been lobbying EU institutions for years, with the Council paying close attention for a long time.
As a result, the Council and the Commission have been proposing revisions to Regulation 261/2004 for years that are particularly unfavorable to passengers. The latest attempt nearly eliminated the right to compensation for delays of 3 hours or more upon arrival at the final destination.
However, since this is a regulation of both the European Parliament AND the Council, the two bodies had to agree.
But the European Parliament has always stood firm, consistently responding that passenger rights must be preserved.
After 11 years of struggle, it seems likely that we’re finally nearing the end of the match between the European Commission, the Council (the 27 heads of state or government), and the European Parliament.
Indeed, the Commission and the European Parliament have agreed on a text that will be debated again on Monday, July 6, 2026, with a vote scheduled for July 7, 2026. It’s very likely that this text, which would come into force in a year, will be adopted.
The main changes would be as follows: - Families with children will no longer be forced to pay to sit together on planes; - A flight will be considered canceled (not just delayed) if it departs more than one hour late; - Right to compensation for arrival at the final destination if the delay exceeds 3 hours (no longer "3 hours OR more"). Since it came into force, Regulation 261/2004 of the European Parliament and Council, which defines air passenger rights, has faced fierce resistance from airlines, backed by IATA (the association representing almost all passenger airlines).
Beyond the airlines' often abusive—and even frequently bad-faith—resistance to passenger rights, IATA has been lobbying EU institutions for years, with the Council paying close attention for a long time.
As a result, the Council and the Commission have been proposing revisions to Regulation 261/2004 for years that are particularly unfavorable to passengers. The latest attempt nearly eliminated the right to compensation for delays of 3 hours or more upon arrival at the final destination.
However, since this is a regulation of both the European Parliament AND the Council, the two bodies had to agree.
But the European Parliament has always stood firm, consistently responding that passenger rights must be preserved.
After 11 years of struggle, it seems likely that we’re finally nearing the end of the match between the European Commission, the Council (the 27 heads of state or government), and the European Parliament.
Indeed, the Commission and the European Parliament have agreed on a text that will be debated again on Monday, July 6, 2026, with a vote scheduled for July 7, 2026. It’s very likely that this text, which would come into force in a year, will be adopted.

Of course, there’s huge pressure from European agencies, which are forced to disrupt their plans or even cancel trips because of this. Personally, I’ve got a trip planned for February 2026 to the southern parks in Tanzania, so I’ll be keeping an eye on how this develops. Do any of you have updates? Thanks!

Before, they used to prioritize major airlines, but now it’s small airlines from small countries—companies with terrible ratings and borderline safety concerns. I even just noticed this note for a Tanzania trip: "We inform you that the domestic flight segment in Tanzania included in your trip is operated by an airline listed on the European Union’s list of air carriers subject to an operating ban within the European Union. This ban only applies to European Union airspace, meaning this airline is not permitted to take off, land, or fly over European airspace. However, this airline is authorized to operate in Tanzania."

We need assistance for check-in and boarding/disembarking (my husband is a mobility-impaired traveler who uses a cane and/or a walker). We’ve done a cruise return from Dubai to Paris CDG before in 2016, with a layover in Istanbul, but we booked the transfer and return flight with COSTA. For our current plan, it would be with Celestyal, which doesn’t offer round-trip flights from Paris to Dubai. Should we book very far in advance, or is a few months before departure enough (4/6 months)? We’re thinking of arriving the day before the ship departs, so we’d need to stay overnight in Dubai—either on the way there or for the return flight, depending on the flight schedules. Could you recommend a hotel not too far from the airport, and how to get to the port from the airport?

So, I’d love to know: how strict are EasyJet’s ID checks? Do they enforce validity rules strictly and refuse boarding if the ID isn’t valid? Or is it more of a luck-of-the-draw situation?

The problem is that the smallest suitcase I have (which is supposed to be designed specifically for cabin size standards, according to the manual) has the following dimensions: 55x37x21, so it's just 1 cm over (wheels included) on one of the measurements.
I wasn’t too worried at first, but I’ve read dozens of stories about people’s misadventures and the hassles they’ve had with RyanAir.
Since I don’t want my suitcase to end up in the hold (that would waste time picking it up when I’m already arriving late and need to get to the city center), nor do I want to pay an extra fee (apparently 50 €) for the outbound and return flights for just 1 centimeter—especially since I paid for the "priority+" option and I’m not exactly rolling in money—I’d love some advice.
Have any of you been in the same situation? I’ve read that with this airline, they check bags in templates (testing them in different positions) and are completely uncompromising. I tried contacting customer service, who, as luck would have it, "don’t handle this kind of request," and a rep I spoke to wasn’t much help.

When I run searches on Skyscanner, I see that only Lufthansa has flights to Seoul with just one stop. Air France doesn’t show up, even though I thought the French airline served Seoul? I can’t even log into the Air France website—it keeps glitching.

I’d like to return to Uzbekistan next April for 10 days with my husband to visit our son who lives there. We went last July and I bought the flight tickets (direct flight from Paris on Uzbekistan Airways) about 2 months in advance at very reasonable prices. I’ve been checking for late April for a few weeks now, and the tickets are much more expensive and keep rising. I can’t figure out if the prices are going up because it’s still a bit too early to buy and they’ll likely drop if the planes aren’t full, or if it’s because the period is actually in high demand. For reference, last year I bought my son’s ticket on May 30th for a departure on June 3rd—just 3 days later—at a very low price that didn’t budge at all.
Just in case, does anyone know the pricing trends for this airline and can advise me? Should I wait or not?

My wife bought a flight ticket (Lucky Air) under her Thai maiden name and was issued a Chinese visa on her new Thai passport but with her French married name (due to administrative requirements). She was denied boarding by the airline in Bangkok for the flight to Kunming—resulting in the loss of our round-trip flight tickets, including mine since we were traveling together—despite presenting both passports at the airline counter at the same time.

Way cheaper than Air France, for example.
That said, the reviews I’ve seen online aren’t great.

I can't seem to find flights between the Cape Verde islands on the airline's website. No matter the date or route, I always get the same response: "no flights on this date." See the photo. Would anyone have an explanation? Surely not all flights are fully booked in July?

Has anyone managed to get a refund from Oman Air?
After a delayed flight, we missed our connecting flight to get home!! At midnight, the flight attendant booked us on a flight to Nice via Munich, even though we were in Munich and wanted to get back to Nice... Too tired from the trip, we didn’t notice the mistake!! The next day, of course, the booking wasn’t valid!! We had to pay again for the flight back to Nice... I’m really struggling!! I think they’re giving me the runaround!! I’ve sent several emails, tried Messenger and WhatsApp, but the only responses I get are: "We need to investigate!! We’ll get back to you in 15 days!!" It’s been over a month!!
I just sent a registered letter (LRAR) to their office at Paris Charles de Gaulle, which is still open!!
Do you have any other suggestions for me?

Sri Lanka has announced it could run out of fuel in the coming weeks if the Strait of Hormuz remains blocked. The government has implemented a mandatory four-day workweek to save oil, and there are long lines at gas stations due to fears of an early shortage.
In Vietnam, the government has warned all airlines that flights will need to be reduced due to a lack of kerosene. The country imports two-thirds of its jet fuel from China and Thailand, but both countries have now banned exports out of fear of domestic shortages.
The state is asking airlines to plan ahead and park aircraft to drastically reduce operations, starting with domestic flights and then international ones. International carriers will also need to cut back on their rotations.
This will begin in the coming days. 🙁

First question: Will my checked baggage be transferred automatically? I have a single ticket from KTI to YUL (Air Canada ticket—KTI-ICN operated by Asiana (codeshare) and ICN-YUL by Air Canada).
Second question: I saw it’s possible to join free guided tours (Airport Transit Tour). What do you think of this kind of service? And is my "actual" layover time (accounting for security checks, check-in, etc.) enough to do one of these tours?

I'm heading to Namibia next May. I'm planning to take a first flight from Paris to Johannesburg with Air France, departing at 11:20 PM and arriving at 11:05 AM in Johannesburg. Then a second flight from Johannesburg to Windhoek at 3:25 PM with South African Airways.
Four hours between the two flights seems enough to catch my connection, but a friend told me I should maybe take the 5:30 PM flight instead because I need to go through immigration, collect my luggage, and check in again. Apparently, I have to do this because I bought the two tickets separately (it's actually much cheaper).
What do you think?
Also, in terms of South African airlines, which one do you think is the most reliable between South African Airways and Airlink?

We’re a family of four traveling together to Seoul, with two separate bookings.
Our original itinerary was: Madrid → Doha → Seoul (March 23–24)
The issue is that our entire outbound flight was canceled, and the airline simply rescheduled the Madrid → Doha leg. Now we’re left with an incomplete journey, with no solution to reach our final destination (Seoul).
Since then:
- Can’t modify flights online (technical error every time) - Can’t get help via chat or WhatsApp - Phone support is unreachable, and the usual French number isn’t working right now
We don’t want a refund. We just want to be rerouted to Seoul, as our original ticket promised.
We’re flexible:
- On dates (we can leave on March 21 or 22 instead of the 23rd) - On the itinerary (different layovers if needed)
Have any of you dealt with this before? Do you know how to unlock a booking in this case or get a rerouting? We’re considering going straight to the airport to resolve it at the Qatar Airways counter....

We just received an email from Volotea saying our flight time has changed (by more than 2 hours).
The email states "you can request a free date change."
If I change the date, will the flight price stay the same as the original price, or will I have to pay the difference?
Specifically: Our flight on the 7th is 46.25 €, and the one on the 8th is 92.51 €. If we switch to the 8th, how much will we pay?
When I request the date change to the 8th, it says "No additional fees."
