Nous allons passé 5 jours à Salzbourg en mai prochain et sommes en recherche d' un hotel sympa ou autre formule d'hebergement bon rapport qualité prix... est il facile de se deplacer en utilisant les transports en commun, et savez-vous si il y des navettes qui relient l'aéroport à la ville... Il semble que l'offre ferroviaire (sans changement) sur ce trajet soit limitée à un seul train Corail:

Le site voyages-sncf ne donne absolument aucune précision sur le couchage proposé sur ce trajet que ce soit en 1ère ou en seconde classe. Je n'ai plus un âge où je pourrais rester 15 heures sans me coucher ou en dormant assis. Si quelqu'un a déjà utilisé ce train, toute info sera la bienvenue.

Il y a peut-être une autre solution possible avec changement dans une grande ville européenne? J'ai cru comprendreque le ran dit "Mozart" n'existait plus?

Moi qui pour une fois souhaitait éviter l'avion pour avoir l'air plus écolo, je ne suis guère encouragé.

Notre voyage en europe centrale se rapproche et j'ai quelques questions que je mets dans plusieurs messages!

Tout d'abord à Wien et Budapest il existe une carte qui permet (1 2 ou 3 jours durant) de circuler gratuitement sur le réseau en transport en commun et d'avoir soit des réductions, soit des entrées gratuites!

Ma question: y en a-t-il parmi vous qui les avez utilisé et est ce rentable, à part le fait de ne pas avoir à utiliser des billets

PS je sais que pour chacune de ces villes il existe aussi des abonnements qui ne marchent que pour les transports en commun!

dans les deux cas nous avons trouvé à loger en périphérie, mais dans la ville même, et utiliserons donc les trannsports pour aller en ville!

D'autre part, quelqu'un(e) serait il intéressée par ce voyage sachant que je passerai 2 jours à Vienne et autant à Budapest pour visiter et que j'envisage de passer 4 à 5 jours sur la route avec une moyenne d'environ 60 kms par jour.

Hello, We’re heading to Bavaria from May 13 to 23, with a side trip to Austria. Here’s our itinerary: Day 1: Brussels-Munich Day 2: Munich Day 3: Munich and departure for Salzburg We’ll be staying three nights in Salzburg. Then we’ll head to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, where we’ll stay for five nights. Visiting Munich and Salzburg isn’t too tricky. Once in Garmisch, we’re planning a day in Innsbruck, a day for Neuschwanstein Castle, and the rest is still up in the air. What’s really got me stumped is that we’d love to see Königssee Lake—everyone says it’s a must-see. We’d also like to visit the Eagle’s Nest (Kehlsteinhaus), where the landscapes are supposedly stunning. This would either be a round trip while we’re in Salzburg or on the way between Salzburg and Garmisch, but I’m guessing it’s impossible to do the drive from Salzburg to Garmisch, the Eagle’s Nest, *and* Königssee Lake all in one day. Plus, the Alpine route between Salzburg and Garmisch seems prettier than the highway. But honestly, I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed with the planning. We should’ve added a stop between Salzburg and Garmisch, but the hotels are already booked. Thanks for any advice on the itinerary and visits! Another question: How far in advance should we book Neuschwanstein, Königssee, and the Eagle’s Nest in May? Thanks so much in advance for your tips and ideas!

Here’s my itinerary: We’re leaving from Quebec for Rome – 4 nights Vienna – 9 nights Hallstatt – 2 nights Salzburg – 4 nights Innsbruck – 4 nights That leaves 3 nights to place somewhere between Innsbruck and Paris, ideally with a direct connection (I’ve looked but can’t find anything—I’m hoping you can help me out ). We’ll be returning to Quebec from Paris.

It could be a seaside spot to relax after what I’m sure will be an amazing trip, but that’s not a must. We also love beautiful cities and small villages.

Hello or Guten Tag, Departure planned between 15 and 20/09. Why Austria? For me, it’s a way to escape the 30°C that might still be lingering in southern France—but that’s not the only reason... For budget info, on average, the cost of living in Austria in 2024 is 3% lower than in France. Looking for a female companion living in the Castres/81 area or in 85/Vendée, where I actually plan to move. Her personality? I’d prefer to discuss that in private messages. If she doesn’t have an e-bike (I have an excellent one), we can swap our “rides” from time to time. Oh... She should be around 1.70 m tall (that’s my height), and there’s no adjustment needed (saddle height + handlebars). Don’t take it to mean that anyone under 1.70 m is automatically out—I can fix a flat tire, I’m resourceful, and I’ve got a good sense of initiative. I should mention that we’ll be riding in temperatures between 18 and 21°C. So, if you’re a travel lover who doesn’t mind slightly cooler weather, you’re welcome! I have a “good level of English language pass,” which is essential for communicating with locals, though some will understand French. Personally, I understand about twenty words of German. Some stretches without much interest can be covered by train. I’m thinking Salzburg–Passau. To be discussed... No need to panic, Monique! The elevation gain might seem intimidating, but spread over 802 km, it’s not too bad. Outbound trip: by car, left in a safe place in Constance or at the hotel where we’d have spent 3 nights. To negotiate with the manager... Return by train from Wien (that’s Vienna in German, please!) for between 38 € and 80 €. We’ll see when we’re there... I’m planning 2 to 3 nights in Constance, given the beauty of the lake (water between 22 and 24°C—maybe a swim?) and the interest this city holds. Fancy getting close to Austria’s highest peak (3800 m) after climbing a pass (a pass with a unique feature in Europe) at 2504 m? Want to have fun like a teenager on Europe’s longest summer toboggan run (on rails) for 3535 m? Want to follow the Danube River for about 317 km on the EuroVelo route 6, a path dedicated just to cyclists? Want to explore Tyrol for 3 or 4 days? Want to discover Vienna and its surroundings? FYI: late September, around 20°C. I’ll be equipped with an excellent vocal GPS. So no fumbling to find an address. Why this country? We’re in the Eurozone. Budget? Hard to pin down. It’ll depend on the accommodations we choose. I’m estimating around 60 to 70 € per day per person while there. Lunch as a picnic. In such a setting, it’s a must! Dinner at a restaurant-inn. Oh... One important point. I’m a heavy sleeper. Nearly 10 hours of rest. After that, I’m in a great mood. I also enjoy a nap of at least an hour after lunch if the spot allows (shady and quiet).

Hi there, I’m interested in guides and maps for the Vienna/Budapest and Budapest/Belgrade stretches. We’re planning to leave from Passau to Belgrade in early August.

I’m leaving from Munich in May to reach Bran (Dracula’s Castle in Romania). The plan: crossing Austria, Hungary (via Lake Balaton), and Romania (through the Carpathians). The idea is to avoid following the EuroVelo 6 route.

Do you have any route ideas in Austria to get to Hungary? I get the feeling there aren’t many options for taking secondary networks, and most routes follow valleys carved out by major road axes.

I’m planning a family trip to Vienna next month, and I’m shocked by the entry prices.

Our itinerary includes the classic sights: Hofburg, National Library, Albertina, Schönbrunn, Belvedere, Fine Arts Museum, Natural History Museum, Secession… the total comes to around 200 € per person, and there are six of us!

I’m currently looking into combo tickets to see if we can save some money. There’s the Vienna Pass, but it’s still pretty expensive for the length of our stay.

Does anyone have any suggestions on this?

Vu la situation sanitaire actuelle, je n'avais pas prévu de partir ce été mais finalement, j'en ressens quand même le besoin et prévois donc d'organiser "à la dernière minute" un voyage en Autriche (+ un peu de la Bavière).

Pourquoi l'Autriche ? Car je suis à la recherche de paysages grandioses, sauvages et que c'est un pays qui m'a toujours attiré. La Suisse étant plus chère, l'Autriche m'ira très bien ! 😎

Je compte donc partir 1 semaine-10 jours en Autriche, en axant mon voyage sur les paysages et la nature plutôt que les villes.

J'habite la Belgique et je m'y rendrai avec mon véhicule.

Ne connaissant encore rien à ce pays, je viens vers vous pour des conseils d'itinéraires. J'ai déjà une vague idée après mes quelques recherches mais vos conseils seront les bienvenus.

Est-ce que cet itinéraire vous paraît cohérent et faisable ? Le but étant encore une fois de profiter un maximum des paysages, de voir pas mal de choses sans pour autant courir non stop. On adore la photo donc on aimerait pouvoir profiter de chaque endroit, dans la mesure du possible.

Je ne connais rien au pays donc n'hésitez pas à me dire si je dois prévoir plus ou moins de temps à tel ou tel endroit.
