Southeast Asia "Loop" Trip, Last Quarter of 2025
Hello,

My name is Stéphane, and due to a last-minute cancellation, I’m looking for one or more travel companions to join me in visiting several countries (Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia).

The full trip runs from early October 2025, with a return to France in early January 2026—87 days total (CDG-SGN <==> SGN-CDG).

It’s possible to split the trip into multiple segments based on everyone’s availability.

The itinerary is set up as a big loop, starting in Vietnam, then northern Laos, Thailand, southern Laos, and Cambodia from north to south before returning to Ho Chi Minh City to fly home.

Depending on availability, several arrival points are possible:

- Early October: Ho Chi Minh City, - Around October 20: Hanoi, - Early November: Vientiane/Luang Prabang, - November 15: Bangkok, - Early December: Siem Reap, etc.

You can return whenever works best for you.

Excluding round-trip flights from France (or elsewhere to Asia), the average budget is 25 € per day, including accommodation and bus transfers.

Looking forward to discussing this further, meeting you, and traveling together for an amazing trip!

Travel companions for Laos and Cambodia in late November
Hi there, I’m heading off for 3 weeks around 15–20/11/2025 to Laos and then Cambodia (I’ve already done Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia… so the countries won’t change 😄). I’ve already got a rough itinerary in mind (the must-sees), including a land border crossing between the two countries after the 4000 Islands. I’m used to traveling light with a backpack, no stress, and I love walking/hiking. If anyone fancies joining me, feel free to reply! !

I’m staying two days in Hanoi—if we can meet up to explore the city, that’d be great! Also, I’d appreciate some tips on packing and which mosquito repellents to bring. Maryvonne Sanchez

Looking for a travel companion in 2026
Hello, Jean Pierre from Lille, a 70-year-old retiree in good health with an athletic build. I’d like to spend 3 weeks in Réunion where my son lives, then head to Vietnam for 2 months where I have friends in the north, and finish with 1 to 2 months in New Zealand where I don’t know anyone! I often travel as a laid-back adventurer—no stress, but still organized. Since I don’t like groups, I’m only looking for one person, man or woman, who’s used to traveling off the beaten path. That’s pretty much it! Hope to hear from you soon

Three months in Vietnam starting from Hanoi: looking for travel companions
Hello,

I’m planning a trip of about three months in Vietnam starting in September 2026. I’ll arrive in Hanoi, where I plan to stay for around two to three weeks to explore the city at a relaxed pace, as well as several nearby spots: historical heritage, museums, traditional neighborhoods, markets, and craft villages.

After that, I’d like to gradually make my way toward the center and south of the country, depending on the people I meet, the weather, and opportunities along the way. I’m particularly looking forward to another longer stop in Ho Chi Minh City—probably two to three weeks—to discover the city’s modern history, Cholon, the markets, Southern cuisine, and take a few day trips, like to the Mekong Delta or natural areas accessible from the city. The rest of the itinerary is intentionally flexible: I’d rather linger in an interesting place than stick to a rigid schedule.

I’m especially interested in culture and history, museums, markets, local food, craft villages, and slightly less touristy spots. I also enjoy walking around a city, observing daily life, chatting over coffee, or occasionally going out in the evening. That said, I’m not looking for a very active trip or one focused mainly on nightlife.

I’m a calm, curious, and fairly independent person. I can be a bit reserved at first, but I’m sociable once I feel comfortable. I’m particularly interested in IT, artistic creation, and personal projects, and I enjoy quiet conversations about a variety of topics.

I’ll be traveling on a fairly budget-friendly basis: youth hostels, local transport, street food, and small restaurants, with the occasional splurge on an activity or slightly more comfortable accommodation. Of course, everyone would keep their own budget and independence, while sharing certain expenses when it makes sense.

The idea would be to start by meeting in Hanoi for a visit, a meal, or a few days together, then simply see if our paces and interests align. There’s no need to travel together for the full three months—it could be a day, a few days, a few weeks, or longer, depending on how well we get along. I like sharing parts of the journey and activities while still having the freedom to take time alone or do some sightseeing separately.

I’m open to meeting people, with a preference for a female travel companion. My approach is mainly friendly, without any particular expectations, though I’m open to a connection developing naturally.

Feel free to message me to share your dates, itinerary, and travel style.

Travel buddy for Laos for 1 month
For February 2027, Since it's so much better to travel as a pair, I'm looking for a friendly female travel buddy to visit Laos, with a stop in northern Thailand first to explore the Chiang Mai region before heading to Laos. I travel backpacker-style but with comfort—staying with locals or in small hotels with private bathrooms, using the country's trains and buses. I'm easygoing, love joking around and laughing, and I'm experienced with independent travel. To avoid flight surprises, it'd be best to book them 6 to 8 months in advance. If you're interested, get in touch!

Looking for a travel companion to explore northern Vietnam in May 2025
Hi there! I’m looking for a travel companion—preferably around my age—to explore Vietnam for two weeks at the end of May. I’m more drawn to landscapes than cities, so I’d like to focus on the northern part starting from Hanoi. May is a great time to visit since the temperatures are more comfortable.

Just to give you an idea, I’ve got a 2-week itinerary planned with a local agency that includes a private driver, but I’m also open to co-creating our own route for a bit more adventure.

If this sounds like something you’d be up for, don’t hesitate to reach out! Pascale

Laos and Cambodia from late December to early February
Hi there, I’ll be in Laos and then Cambodia from mid-to-late December until early February. I haven’t been to Laos before, but I already know Cambodia. I plan to arrive via northern Thailand and leave from Bangkok (it’s a question of flight prices). I’m used to traveling by local transport and staying in simple guesthouses, with internal flights if needed. Sightseeing, exploring, and connecting with locals are my priorities. If anyone’s interested in joining for part or all of this trip, we can chat and discuss. I only have a rough itinerary so far. See you soon, Francoise

Accommodation in modest guest houses. Looking forward to hearing from you! Patrice

Late January or February 2027: Central Highlands of VIETNAM, circuit with guide and driver
I’m heading to Vietnam for the 3rd time for a 6-week stay. Who’s planning a trip to the central region in 2027? And who’d like to share a few days with me? The idea is a circuit of several days with a guide and driver around BUON MA THUOT, PLEIKU, and KONTUM—or just a driver, or even a circuit with two easy riders, though they’re hard to find in this area. And if we hit it off (check my profile), why not spend even more time together?

What I’m looking for: - Parks, nature reserves, or wildlife sanctuaries - BUON MA THUOT and surroundings: pagodas and traditional villages—Konklor village and the suspension bridge - PLEIKU: Bahnar villages and the ethnographic museum - KON TUM: cathedral, market, and traditional villages

Interested in: - Local markets, handicrafts (gongs, weaving, and basketry) - Ceremonies or performances with gongs - Pagodas - Museums - Street food

I’m not planning to travel long distances for waterfalls (unless they’re exceptional), or visits to farms . However, I’m open to any other suggestions for this trip to the Central Highlands, which are less touristy.

With prices rising, I’ve just bought my Paris/Danang and Ho Chi Minh/Paris flight ticket.

Motorcycle Travel Companion for Southeast Asia from December 2024 to May 2025
Hello, I’ve been retired since 2018 and travel solo every winter. But after my sons pointed out: “riding alone through Laos on a bike! Safety-wise, there’s room for improvement.” I’m getting older and need to be more careful. That’s the reason for this post. The idea is to look out for each other if needed, while still keeping our independence and privacy. I’ll be in Laos starting December 6th, then probably Thailand in January since I want to do some diving. After that, it’s all improvisation—nothing’s set in stone. If the destination and the concept interest you, well, we can just chat about it.
