Hi there, We want to go to Greece in May. I have no idea how to plan our 10-day trip. Athens is a must, but after that, I'm lost. We're looking for unusual spots that aren't necessarily touristy but still want to hit the must-see places. We're skipping Santorini given the current events. J'ai 66 ans, ma femme 60 ans... Nous ne sommes pas fans des plages, mais nous aimons prendre un bain naturel de temps en temps... Et nous aimons être dans une atmosphère animée.

1)- Est-ce que Ios Chora est une ville assez belle pour y trouver de quoi nous occuper pendant 3 jours en juillet sans nous ennuyer, biensur en alternance avec Gialos et les autres parties de l'île ?

2)- Pensez-vous que Ios, combinée avec Syros, Amorgos et Astypalea, pourrait être une bonne option après avoir visité toutes les cyclades, sauf Andros, Serifos et Milos ?

3) Tinos qui a une bonne connexion avec syros et amorgos est-elle une meilleure alternative à Ios ?

Mon voyage initial (Madagascar) étant tombé à l'eau j'étudie un plan B.

Je me suis dis "où est-ce que je rêve d'aller mais en y renonçant parce que trop touristique et qui ne soit pas trop loin ???" et là tout de suite Santorin m'est venu à l'esprit, ainsi que les Cyclades.😎 En effet, pas de croisière et une Europe qui se rouvre doucement devrait être une opportunité d'aller dans ces îles magiques sans croiser trop de monde.

Du coup j'ai élaboré rapidement un programme qui va du 23 juillet au 3 août. Arrivée et départ depuis Santorin (puisqu'il y a un vol direct Zurich - Santorin).

Cela pourrait ressembler à ça: J1 arrivée à Santorin J2 Santorin -> Sifnos J3 à 6 (soit 4 jours pleins) Sifnos J7 Sifnos - Amorgos. J8 et 9 Amorgos J10 Amorgos -> Santorin J11 à 13 Santorin (soit 3 jours, le départ du vol retour étant J13 à 20h45).

Je trouve qu'il manque 1 jour à Amorgos, mais je ne peux plus en rajouter, donc soit j'en enlève 1 à Sifnos, soit 1 à Santorin ??? Qu'en pensez-vous ?

Dans quel village me conseillez-vous de loger sur chacune d'elles ? Pour Amorgos je pensais Aegiali parce que c'est là qu'il y a le club de plongée sous-marine. Pour le reste je n'ai pas encore étudier.

Nous prévoyons de faire un voyage de 14-16 jours avec 2-3 jours à Athènes dans les Cyclades avec mon conjoint et nos enfants de 6 & 13 ans.

Il y a un certain nombre d'années, j'avais déjà faire un périple avec Santorin, Naxos, Paros et Mykonos puis Athènes.

J'ai envie de visiter Milos mais Amorgos me fait de l'œil.

Du coup ça pourrait faire : Santorin Amorgos ou Milos Paros Athènes

D'autres idées à me communiquer ?

Nous avons la possibilité d'atterrir en vol direct à Santorin ou à Mykonos.

J'organise (déjà) nos prochaines vacances d'été. Nous rêvons de visiter les îles grecques depuis des années ! Tout ce que je lis à leurs sujets nous pousse à vouloir les découvrir en bateau. J'hésite entre saut d'île en ferry dans un bateau à taille humaine (mais j'ai peur d'avoir le mal de mer ...) ou croisière sur un paquebot (mais pour le paquebot j'ai peur qu'il y ai trop de monde à bord 😕 )

Est-ce quelqu'un pourrait me conseiller et me donner son avis ? Merci !

naxos étant une île étendue pourriez vous me conseiller dans quelle ville nous serions le mieux positionner pour visiter l'ile endroit calme mais pratique pour rayonner même question pour paros si vous avez des suggestions d'hébergement je suis preneuse y a t il encore comme avant des hotes qui viennent vous proposer leur studio à l'arrivée des ferrys ou vaut il mieux prévoir un peu avant ?

Nous irons surement aussi à amorgos 4 jours est ce qu'il vaut mieux faire katapola ou aegiali ou moitié moitié

For a trip to the Cyclades in early May (1st–18th), we’re planning to visit Naxos, Amorgos, and finish on Paros to catch a flight back to Athens.

I was wondering if we need to book the ferries now or if we can wait a bit... also, for car rental, can we book on the spot?

For accommodations, our bookings are done except for Paros... any suggestions for good value-for-money options?

Also, any other tips about our route or anything else would be super welcome!!!

We’ve only been to Crete in Greece before, so this trip is new to us—but planning the itinerary isn’t easy because we have to make choices. We’d love to hear from those in the know about the following plan: Day 1: flight to Athens, then flight to Milos 3 days in Milos, 4 days in Sifnos, 3 days in Paros, Final 3 days in Athens. Should we book ferry tickets between the islands in March in advance, or can we wait until the last minute? Same question for accommodations on these different islands. Finally, on the 3 islands we’ve chosen, is renting a car essential, or are the buses enough? Thanks for your help!

Here’s a little account of our two-week family trip (with two boys aged 7 and 10) to Corfu. I hope it helps other travelers! We chose Corfu because there are direct flights from Paris, and we were looking for a destination where it’d be easy to swim with the kids. We were there from August 14 to 28.

Since I wasn’t sure about the distances and had read quite a bit about Greek driving and the state of the roads, I decided to split the trip into three parts: Corfu Town, the North, and the South.

Corfu Town (3 nights) Day 1: We landed in the late afternoon. Booked three nights via Booking on the edge of the old town (Sueno Garden Apartment), which is walkable from the airport—no need to rent a car for the first few days or stay in Corfu Town. First evening in the old town, dinner at Pane e Souvlaki on Dimarchiou Square. Touristy, but good vibes.

Day 2: Visited the Old Fort. Nice for the Church of St. George, which looks like an ancient Greek temple, and especially for the 360° view from the top. By 11 a.m., the sun was already beating down. Left the fort and strolled through the People’s Gardens. Lunch at Mouragia a bit further away, then backtracked to let the kids swim at Faliraki Bathing Beach.

Day 3: We took bus line 2A from Spinada (in front of the Old Fort) to the end of the runway (stop ΚΑΛΟΚΑΙΡΙ Ε). Poorly signposted when you’re at the top—you have to go down via the bar. Not well set up, which is a shame. The Panagia Vlacherna Monastery is pretty on its little island, but don’t turn around—the landings are impressive. Returned via the 2A with a stop at Mon Repos Beach, where the kids loved jumping off the pier.

North (6 nights) Day 4: Headed to Sidari, rented a small Fiat Panda from Europcar—no issues with this rental company (I booked late, so it’s probably possible to find cheaper). We’d also booked via Booking at Blue Dreams Apartment, just south of Sidari. A family-run hotel with a nice pool, we had a great stay (it’s just been taken over by Belgians who speak French). We wandered around Sidari to the Canal d’Amour. Not easy to access—you have to walk through all the bars, and the tiny beach is pretty dirty. Still, it’s fun for a swim and exploring the cave.

Day 5: Quick breakfast to be at Cap Drastis by 9 a.m. Parked at the top, but there’s very little space (we couldn’t park on the way back), and it’s a dirt road. The signs saying “To the sea” actually lead to a boat dock for a cape tour. You only see the cape from above, not below. A bit of a letdown, but since it was early and no one was down there yet, we treated ourselves to a quick swim. Brunch back in Sidari at Eviva—I recommend it: not Greek at all, but high quality. Agios Stefanos in the late afternoon after the heat. The port is awful (dirty and uninteresting), but there’s a swimming spot just before the beach, near the old port (park above, by the church). No one was there—great moment with the kids.

Day 6: Left around 9 a.m. for Mount Pantokrator. A bit of a climb at the end in the Fiat Panda—it’s steep! The road is long, but I think it’s worth it for the lunar landscape at the top, the monastery-antenna, and the 360° view. Then down to Kassiopi (we paid 5 euros for the Kassiopi Car Park—I think it’s the best option, as there’s no big free parking like in Sidari) and a swim at Paralia Mpataria (small but nice). Really relaxing in the late afternoon. Walked around the peninsula and saw several dolphin pods with amazing jumps. Unforgettable. Kassiopi is more family-friendly than Sidari and has more charm (Sidari has none, so that’s easy!).

Day 7: Morning off at the hotel, then afternoon at Paralia Kalamaki for the inflatable playground the kids had spotted on the way back from Kassiopi. 10 euros per person for an hour, not many people around 4 p.m., and we had a blast. Shallow sandy beach. Not much marine life, but safe for young kids. Note: free freshwater shower. Dinner at Nikos Family Restaurant in Roda. Great welcome and atmosphere. The stifado and soutzoukakia were delicious, and the Greek desserts were amazing too. Next door, at Roda Park restaurant, there was a Greek party with traditional dancing and plaster plate-smashing. Even though we didn’t eat there, everyone was invited to join in the street—it was fun. Probably touristy, but pretty spontaneous, and it was a good time.

Day 8: I’d booked two dives in Paleokastritsa with Achilleon Diving Center, directly via WhatsApp. Great international vibe, two easy but interesting dives (a barracuda school and a “cow” nudibranch at Colovri Reefs, cool crevasses and holes at Donald’s Place). In the afternoon, we visited the Paleokastritsa Monastery (well-maintained, pretty nice) and spent some time at the beach (very crowded).

Day 9: Day off—we enjoyed the hotel pool and went to Olea next door to buy a small olive wood souvenir. Note that the old man who works the wood doesn’t have many fingers left…

South (5 nights) Day 10: Headed to Lefkimmi. Stopped at Achilleion on the way. I knew from reviews that only the gardens were accessible, but I think it’s worth it, even at 7 euros. We passed by the French military cemetery nearby (nothing special, poorly signposted but quiet and peaceful) and ate at Elia Tavern right next door: super good, best calamari of the trip. We’d booked our accommodation at Villa Rosa South Corfu, a bit outside Lefkimmi, near Alikes. Pretty isolated, but the beach is a 3-minute walk away, right next to the old salt pans. On the way, we saw a poster (use Google Lens to translate) for a local festival near Linia. We went that evening: barbecue, concert, and local dancing. Lots of people, but only locals—it was a great time.

Day 11: Short “hike” to Arkoudilas. We parked at the exit of Kavos, just before The Rose Tree restaurant. Some people drive all the way to the beach, but it’s very rocky. We followed the “Monastery” path to see Cape Asprokavos and the ruins of the monastery nearby. To avoid backtracking, we continued through the woods after the monastery to reach Arkoudilas Beach. Nice shaded walk, but dusty road. Dinner at Agali on the Potami Canal (friendly family vibe, but long wait).

Day 12: Boat trip to Sivota with Pegasus. A wooden boat, human-sized. Crowded, but not cramped. Two swimming stops (Blue Lagoon in the morning and a beach in the afternoon) and a 2-hour stop at noon in Sivota. We knew it’d be touristy, but the vibe was good, with some dancing on the way back. Not too many people at the swimming stops.

Day 13: Kouris Museum in Lefkimmi. Okay, don’t go for the history—the guide cracks more jokes than gives rational explanations. Still, we laughed a lot and had a great time. Lunch at The Village on the main road: very fresh, very good. Perfect homemade dip platter. Not the best location since it’s right on the road, but it’s worth it. Free ice cream for the kids, super-friendly owner. Fresh ratatouille (finally, some veggies!). Afternoon at Paralia Issos. View of Korission Lagoon and a walk through the sand dunes, a bit like the Sahara in places (hard to do before 5 p.m., even 6 p.m., because of the heat).

Day 14: I’d booked a visit/tasting at Pontiglio Winery. Short tour of the small site and tasting of the 4 wines produced there: 2 whites, 1 red, 1 rosé. Fresh homemade snacks, fruit for the kids, great welcome. Then to Paralia Kanoula Beach. Mikro Nisi Bar, sunbeds at 20 euros—expensive. But a nice beach with some rocks, so a bit of marine life. We saw octopuses while snorkeling with the kids—great moment.

Honest take on Corfu The island is dirty—not just at the garbage sites, which aren’t collected often enough and overflow constantly, but everywhere. Not a single square meter without cigarette butts, even if you get off the main paths. Stray cats everywhere, wasps everywhere, sewage smells often.

The natural heritage is stunning but ruined by private encroachment on the coastline. Bars and restaurants take over the land right up to the sea. I’d only been to Santorini and Paros about ten years ago, and I don’t remember it being like this at all. Maybe the Cyclades are different now. From talking to a few tourists here and there, it seems Crete is better managed. We still had a good vacation, even if it was sometimes hard to overlook the dirtiness.

Vers quel coin de l'île devrions nous nous diriger ? Peut-être 1 adresse à nous conseiller ?

Ma fille qui a 25 ans et son ami visitent une partie de l'Europe en tente (souvent camping sauvage) avec une petite Opel Corsa. Ils vont quitter l'Albanie demain pour aller en Grèce. Ils vont commencer par faire le tour du Péloponnèse et ils voudraient aller jusqu'à Athènes.

Mais est ce que quelqu'un aurait une idée sur une organisation possible (et évidemment pas trop couteuse!) pour éviter d'aller en voiture dans la capitale Greque... Est ce qu'il pourraient garer la voiture quelque part dans le Péloponnèse et aller en bateau jusqu'au Pyrée?

J'avoue, j'ai essayé de trouver les renseignement sur le forum ou sur google mais je ne trouve pas donc une fois de plus je fais appel à vous.

Bonsoir Pour des raisons de facilités au départ d' Athènes notre choix s' est porté sur ces iles . Nous connaissons un peu d' autres iles des Cyclades et du Dodécanèse , nous aurions adoré aller a Amorgos mais trop compliqué par ces temps de coronavirus .... Alors Sérifos , Sifnos et Milos nous paraissent un bon choix car faciles d' accès depuis le Pirée avec au moins 3 liaisons / jour . J' aimerais bien avoir des retours de forumeurs connaissant ces iles , quelques conseils ..... Merci d' avance 😏

Ma conjointe et moi prévoyons un voyage en Grèce et en Albanie l'été prochain. Nous visons surtout l'Albanie, mais aimerions faire quelques îles grecques au passage. Nous avons déjà réservé nos billets d'avions (Mtl-Athènes 15 juin 2020 - arrivé à 7h30 AM _ Vol de retour Athènes- Mtl le 29 juin au matin).

À l'arrivée, nous aurions aimé prendre directement un vol vers Tirana (Albanie), mais le vol de Aegan Airline (ouvert aujourd'hui) est à 9h30 AM, ce qui ne nous laisse pas assez de temps pour les formalités des douanes, récupération des valises, etc. Nous sommes un peu embêtés.

Sachant que la location de voiture en Grèce pour traverser en Albanie est impossible (les locateurs refusent en raison des conditions routières en Albanie) et que notre séjour a une durée limitée, nous sommes déçus de devoir passer 1 journée à Athènes en attendant le lendemain pour un vol vers Tirana.

Notre plan idéal aurait été de se rendre rapidement en Albanie, d'y louer un 4x4 et de parcourir le pays pendant plusieurs jours (15 juin au 23 juin). Nous sommes surtout intéressé par cette formule qui nous permettra d'atteindre des endroits plus reculés dans le nord du pays (notamment Teth). Nous désirons faire quelques arrêts ci et là: Berat et autres sites d'intérêt (nous commençons à peine à regarder les guides de voyage). Nous cherchons la découverte des paysages et de l'architecture, la rencontre des gens, bien plus que les plages (aussi magnifiques soient-elles, nous sommes un peu moins de type "plages" et beaucoup plus musées et sites historiques).

Au retour, de 23 juin au 29 juin serait en Grèce. Peu d'intérêt pour Athènes (bon peut être un détour au Parthénon que je n'ai pas vu (mais ma conjointe oui)), mais nous recherchons une expérience "îles grecques" sans pour autant aller sur Mikonos ou Santorini trop touristique. Quelque chose de plus proche peut être... On a entendu du bien de Syros et Idra, potentiellement moins touristique et ça nous plait.

Des gens auraient fait les deux pays lors du même séjour, vous avez des suggestions, des bons plans pour organiser tout ça? L'an dernier nous avons loué une voiture 2 semaines au Maroc. Ce fut facile et simple. Cette fois-ci nous nous confrontons aux défis des horaires de ferrys, des restrictions frontalières et autres complexités géographiques. Bref, toute aide, commentaires, réflexions et partage sera fortement appréciée!

We’ll be spending two nights on Mykonos at the end of May so we can visit Delos. I’m wondering if we can easily find a boat by just heading to the port the same morning or if it’s better to book in advance.

Nous sommes littéralement tomber amoureux de cette île et de ses habitants, par conséquent nous voudrions découvrir celle-ci d'une façon différente l'année prochaine, en effectuant un road trip de 20 jours au mois de juillet. Afin de préparer ce voyage au mieux, j'aurais besoin de conseils sur le meilleur parcours à faire, sachant que je voudrais privilégier le sud et l'ouest de l'Ile car nous avons déjà vu Agios nikolaos et Elounda. Hi there! I’m sharing our itinerary for May/June 2027—23 days. This is our first time in Greece, so we’re starting with the must-see spots. We’re planning another trip later to explore the north, Thessaloniki, Macedonia, and some islands.

- Athens, 4 nights - Corinth area, 2 nights (Heraion of Perachora, Canal, Acrocorinth) - Nafplio, 3 nights (Mycenae, Epidaurus, Methana peninsula) - Gefira, 2 nights (Monemvasia) - Areopoli, 2 nights (Mani). Maybe add an extra night and stay on the peninsula??? Based on my calculations, the Mani loop is about 100 km—doable in a day, but it’d be a quick trip. - Sparta or Pikoulianika, 2 nights (Mystras) - Dimitsana, 2 nights (Lousios Gorge, monasteries) - Olympia, 2 nights (via Lagkadia?) - Delphi or Arachova, 3 nights (via the west coast, Galaxidi bridge) (Delphi, Hosios Loukas Monastery) - And back to Athens.

This is just a rough draft for now. We’re planning to stay in hotels or book through Booking.com. What do you think? Thanks for your feedback and suggestions!

I’m reaching out for your advice on a Crete itinerary. We’re a group of 3 (2 adults and 1 teen) and will be traveling for 13 days / 12 nights in early August. To enjoy the trip without rushing too much, we’ve decided to focus on the western part of the island. Before diving into the details of our planned route, here’s a bit about how we like to travel. We’re big fans of hiking, bivouacking in the Pyrenees, or bike touring. We’re well aware that Crete is a popular summer destination, but we’d like to avoid overly crowded spots while still trying to visit places we consider "must-sees"—or at least those we’re eager to discover. For activities, hiking might be tricky due to the heat, but we’re thinking of water-based fun and historical visits: snorkeling, windsurfing or paddleboarding, gorges, and so on. For accommodations, we’ll mix it up between guesthouses, hotels, and private rentals.

Here’s what we’re considering: Day 1: Arrival in the evening in Heraklion – Night in Heraklion. Day 2: Head to Chania / Night in Chania - 3 nights in Falassarna (exploring Balos and the surrounding area) - 3 nights in Paleochora (discovering Elafonissi and nearby) - 3 nights in Sougia (day trip by ferry to Loutro, Agia Roumeli) Then, return to Rethymnon in the morning by road and spend our last night there (after checking various guides and forums, the ferry option seems a bit too restrictive, so we’re planning to drive back to Heraklion for our flight at the end of the day).

Si arrêter pour la journée à kos est il jouable ex arrivée à kos le matin et repartir en fin d après midi pour bodrum.le tout en ferry bien sûr Me le conseillez vous ? Hi there, The least we can say is that neither the internet nor guidebooks are overflowing with info on Thrace, this region in the far northeast of Greece (part of which is also in Bulgaria and Turkey). Needless to say, if anyone’s already visited this "eastern" Greece, I’d love to hear ANY tips about it. I’m planning to spend 4 or 5 days there next May, with a rental car. The distances seem pretty big, and I don’t want to rack up too many kilometers at the risk of being a bit disappointed—especially, what do you think of the Evros Valley, near the Turkish border? For a trip planned next summer, I’m considering this itinerary for a maximum of 3 weeks:

Kalamata Pylos Foinikounta Kardamyli Limeni? Areopoli Mezapos (just a quick stop along the way) Gerolimenas Elafonissos Then we’ll head back up toward Nafplio And Athens for the return flight.

My questions: - Is it possible to find a direct flight to Kalamata, or will we have to go through Athens for a domestic flight? - For Limeni, can we get there from Areopoli? - The drives from Gerolimenas to Elafonissos and from Elafonissos to Nafplio are a bit long—any ideas for stops? Though that might make too many stops overall?!

Hi there, I’m reaching out for some help planning a short trip to Greece at the end of April with my dad. We’ll be staying for 7 days, flying in and out of Athens, where we’ll rent a car. After quite a bit of research, we’ve decided to explore the Peloponnese, which we don’t know at all. We’ve read that basing ourselves in Nafplio for a few nights and then in Gytheio would be a good way to organize our visits. Here are the main spots we’ve noted so far: Corinth (just the canal, as the rest seems to have little interest based on what we’ve read), Mycenae, Epidaurus, Nafplio, Monemvasia, and Mystras. Could you help us figure out the best route to take? Are there other places worth considering given the time we have? Thanks so much in advance for your help!

Je suis nouveau membre du forum. Nous souhaitons partir en crête fin juin 2020 pour 1 semaine.. Nous pensons faire l ouest de la crête. 3 / 4 jours à la Canée et 3/4 jours plus au sud mais on ne sais pas où exactement car on n à du mal à ce situer. Vers ou faudrait il se situer pour être bien placer de façon à voir un max de chose..

On veut faire elafonissi, Samaria mais après je ne sais pas ce qu il y a de bien à faire dans le sud. Pouvez nous aider à gérer cette parti de notre voyage.

Je compte me rendre en Grèce en octobre pour quelques jours soit 5 ou 6 jours (si tout va bien). Je me dis que j'irais bien passer quelques jours au bord de la mer depuis Athènes pour décompresser et profiter encore du beau temps.

Depuis l'aéroport je peux prendre un ferry au Pirée. Les horaires de l'avion me permettraient de m'y rendre directement et d'y prendre un bateau. Je pensais aller à Egine (pas trop loin) , mais il n'y a pas que cette ile qui soit si proche. Je me suis déjà rendue à Poros plusieurs fois, à Hydra (mais je n'exclue pas d'y retourner), mais il y a tellement d'autres iles proches et à découvrir.

J'arpente depuis des semaines les forums pour établir mon court road-trip mais au final je suis toujours autant indécise, voulant tout faire tout en sachant que ce n'est pas possible...

J'arrive à Athènes le 30 avril midi, puis je m'envole pour Santorin (depuis Athènes) le 7 mai au matin et je rentre chez moi le 10 mai au midi (depuis Santorin).

Je voudrais faire 2 jours à Athènes (au début ou à la fin?). Et 4/5 jours dans le Péloponnèse du coup : Nauplie, Mystras, Mycènes, Epidaure, Olympie, Monemvasia, Spartes, Corynthe, Delphes (je sais que c'est en dehors du Péloponnèse mais ce n'est pas si loin d'Athènes), Tyrinthe (je ne le retrouve que peu sur les forums alors que mes guides en font l'apologie), Ermioni... Qu'éliminer ? Avec mon copain nous aimons énormément les sites historiques et les belles vues. Début mai on ne s'attend pas à pouvoir se baigner donc pas de parcours avec repos sur les plages. Dernière question, vaut il mieux dormir dans un lieu différents tous les soirs, ou prendre une ville rayonner autour ? Le soir nous aimons beaucoup se faire resto et "bar" tranquillement.

Bonjour. Pouvez vous me renseigner si les loueurs de voiture sont éloignés de l aéroport international d’Athenes et comment si rendre : a pied , en navette ou autre ? De même pour le retour suite à la remise de son véhicule et accéder aux guichets d ´embarquement quel temps ou délai faut il compter? Je vous remercie.

Hi everyone, I’m planning my first trip to Greece from October 29th to November 23rd and I’d love to hear your thoughts and suggestions on the itinerary I’m considering. For a first visit, I’ll definitely cover the traditional tourist route, but I’m also open to off-the-beaten-path ideas. I’m curious and interested in history, archaeological sites, and the islands—more for culture than beaches, anyway, especially in November!

Here’s the plan: 3–4 days in Athens, 2 days in Nafplio: visiting Epidaurus and Mycenae, Stop in Olympia on the way to Delphi via Patras by bus? To avoid backtracking to Athens; 2 days in Delphi, including the site and Mount Parnassus, Explore the Ionian coast and a few islands? A few days in Corfu, 3 days in Meteora, 2–3 days in Thessaloniki, Direct flight from Thessaloniki to Heraklion, Crete, 3–4 days in Crete, November 22nd–23rd: overnight ferry back to Athens to catch my return flight to Montreal.

You’ve probably guessed I’m traveling solo. It might seem a bit scattered right now—I’ve started reading up on Greece, and there are must-see spots. What feels unclear are the 4–5 days between Delphi and Corfu. Also, mid-November in the islands might not be ideal if the weather’s bad.

Is Corfu worth it? Maybe there are other options—like a few days in Albania? Just throwing the idea out there.

Nous prevoyons, si coco19 nous laisse tranquille, de partir 12 jours en Crete debut octobre, et sommes à la recherche de conseils sur un itineraire. Faire l'ensemble de l'ile sur 12 jours semble compliqué, alors que choisir entre coté ouest et coté est ?

Nous sommes un couple de 55 ans, voyagerons principalement en bus, location d une voiture sur 3 ou 4 jours si necessaire. Nous aimons les vielles pierres, quelques musées, les paysages, les balades, les rencontres, bien manger et finir notre sejour par 2 jours de plages.

Nous avions programmé de passer 1 mois au Nicaragua en aout ..voyage annulé ( plutôt reporté). Du coup, je viens de prendre un vol pour Thessalonique afin de faire un périple de 3 semaines en Grèce avec nos 3 enfants de 7, 9 et 13 ans, entre mer et montagne. Voiture de location pour les 3 semaines.

J'aimerais avoir votre avis sur les 2 itinéraires suivants:

itinéraire 1: j1 a 4 : Sithonia ( au sud de la presqu'ile) J 4 a 9 : Thassos J 9 à 11 : lac Kerkini J 11 à 15 : Zagorias J 15 à 16 : meteores J 16 à 21 : Pelion

ou alors itinéraire 2: j1 a 4 : Sithonia ( au sud de la presqu'ile) J 4 à 6 : lac Kerkini J 6 à 9: Kastoria J 9 à 13 : Zagorias J 13 à 14 : meteores J 14 à 21 : Pelion

comme tous le monde, nous voulons éviter les endroits trop bondés, même si en Aout, j' en suis bien conscient, cela ne sera pas facile ( mais, grâce au forum, nous avions passé 3 super semaines en crête il y a quelques année en plein été, et avions eu trés peu de monde avec un peu d'organisation et en évitant la cote nord, matala etc.. https://voyageforum.com/v.f?post=8776585;#8776585 )
