Celle-ci me cloue au fauteuil roulant...

Maroc -> Mauritanie -> Mali -> Burkina -> Bénin -> Togo -> Niger -> Tchad -> Caméroun -> (Bateau jusqu'en Namibie si possible) -> Namibie -> Botswana -> Zambie -> Malawi -> Tanzanie -> Madagascar (si bateau Tanzanie / Madagascar) -> Tanzanie Mozambique -> Afrique du Sud -> Nouvelle Zélande + Australie.
Plusieurs questions
Pour l'Afrique australe : Passage Namibie -> Bostwana -> Zambie -> Tanzanie

Parcours prévu : Maroc -> Mauritanie -> Mali -> Burkina -> Bénin -> Togo -> Niger -> Tchad -> Caméroun -> (Bateau jusqu'en Namibie si possible) -> Namibie -> Botswana -> Zambie -> Malawi -> Tanzanie -> Madagascar (si bateau Tanzanie / Mada) -> Mozambique -> Afrique du

Merci d'avance 😉!!!!
A bientôt!!!

Rideshare to southern Morocco!
🙂 Hi there, I'm looking for a rideshare to head down to southern Morocco (Agadir, Dakhla, etc.) starting in November from Bordeaux or Brive-la-Gaillarde. I'm near Périgueux, have 2 suitcases (60x40x20cm, stackable) and a medium backpack. I can drive without any issues—I've done the route all the way to Mali and Senegal. I'm easygoing, calm yet energetic, and serious about spending the winter in the sun. Maybe even flying to Senegal afterward. Looking for folks who’d enjoy a pleasant, friendly migration full of surprises to end the year on a sunny high note! Here’s my number to chat: 06 86 22 42 16 Richard
Gran Canaria... a trip that wasn't exactly thrilling
Okay, it wasn’t a total disaster either. Actually, I hesitated before starting this travel journal: is it even worth writing about a holiday that won’t leave an unforgettable memory?
In the end, I went for it (there aren’t many recent travel journals about this destination).
So, read on... or don’t .
Every time we’ve been to the Canary Islands, it’s been by default (basically: where can we go in winter or early spring when we only have a week—so not too far, not too much jet lag, but with decent weather?).
This time, we had two weeks, but the winter plan kept changing: first Thailand (dropped for personal reasons), then Martinique (dropped because of work leave dates that weren’t up to me), and finally, the Canary Islands.
We’ve already been to Tenerife (which we really liked) and Lanzarote (which we liked a little less). This year, two options: Gran Canaria or one of the smaller islands west of Tenerife (La Palma, or even La Gomera or El Hierro). We chose Gran Canaria... not sure it was the right call! Whose fault is it? Storm Thérèse’s! Yes, Storm Thérèse followed us on arrival, and its effects lasted quite a while. We had to adapt, cancel visits, change activities...
But even without Thérèse...
Saturday 21/03 Departure from Orly at 6:10 AM with Transavia. The plane took off on time and landed a little early, tossed around by strong winds before touching down. It had just rained, but it was (almost) no longer raining.

We quickly picked up our luggage and then the car at the Cicar counter. We got a Seat Arona instead of the Corsa we’d booked. Well, while the driving position didn’t feel great at first (I got used to it), the engine’s smoothness and power were much appreciated on the island’s winding and sometimes steep roads.
It was only 10 AM, and we couldn’t theoretically check into our accommodation until 3 PM (the owner promised to message me if it was ready earlier). So, we headed to the (big) *Jardín Botánico Viera y Clavijo*, where we planned to spend a few hours. We found a huge parking lot... empty. The passenger in the car in front of us (yes, we weren’t the only ones at the closed gate—there was a car in front and one behind) went to ask for info: it was closed due to the storm 😕. So, we calmly headed toward Puerto de las Nieves, on the northwest coast of the island.
The plan: go to a restaurant, visit the village, and do some shopping while waiting for early afternoon. As soon as we got out of the car, it started raining... we took shelter under the awning of a shop, waiting for it to pass. But the rain turned into a downpour, and within minutes, awning or not, Gore-Tex or not, we were soaked!
Since we were already wet, we might as well go to the restaurant—they weren’t far! But here’s the thing: contrary to what Google Maps said, they all opened at 1 PM, not noon! Back to the car, wading through 5 cm of water because all the village streets were flooded . The rain let up, we did some shopping, went to eat, and I got a message from the owner saying the accommodation was ready 🙂.
So, off we went to La Suerte, a few kilometers north of Agaete. The downside of the place, especially with luggage, is that you have to climb several flights of stairs via an outdoor staircase (after parking more or less far away on a steep street) to get there 😛). Of course, on the way from the car to the apartment, it started pouring again—the bags got soaked! Enough rain for today! We settled in quietly, and by late afternoon, we could (finally!) go admire the view from the terrace.

Which small-sized touring bike to choose?
Hi,
A friend is looking for a bike to embark on a long trip, but the issue is he’s only 1.55m tall.
In itself, that’s not a problem 😏, except that finding an XS-sized touring bike isn’t easy.
Some start at 1.55m, but it’s still a bit extreme.
If anyone knows of brands or models that might work...
Thanks in advance
Weather in Ecuador in January-February
Hi everyone, I’m planning a trip from mid-January to the end of February but I just can’t make up my mind 😕
I’ve looked into a few different options: Brazil, Cambodia, and Ecuador. The last one really appeals to me, but what’s making me hesitate is the risk of our trip being a bit too rainy (literally ),
We’re more drawn to the Andes, exploring colonial cities, typical villages, markets, and a bit of the coast. We’ve already gotten a taste of this in Bolivia, Colombia, and Chile. Plus, we’d love to do part of it by car since we’re used to driving at our own pace and stopping whenever we feel like it. Anyway, time’s running out, and I need to decide so I can finalize a route and book the tickets!!
Can anyone help me make up my mind or decide to postpone it for later? But for this year, I don’t have any other time slot to travel. Thanks for reading this far! !
Trip around Bontoc, Luzon (Philippines)
Hi there,
Between Sagada and Banaue, I’m thinking of spending a night in Bontoc. Are there any interesting villages to see around Bontoc (accessible by vehicle)?
Is the Bontoc-Maligcong road worth it... landscapes? Same question for the Bontoc-Barlig road?
Thanks in advance for your tips!
Your recommendations for Bangkok lovers
Hello everyone! :)
Our next trip to Thailand is coming up, and we just can't wait! We talk, eat, drink, and dream Thailand 😏
Our itinerary is mostly set, and we’ve found quite a few new things to explore, but I’d still love to hear your recommendations for Bangkok. Just so you know: we love this city, and every time we visit, we spend several days there without ever feeling like we’ve seen it all. So this year, we’re staying for 8 days! Here’s what we have planned this year: * Exploring Nonthaburi * A day trip to Nakhon Pathom (to test out our basic Thai skills 😛) * Khlong Lat Mayom floating market (we went 10 years ago—it’s probably changed a lot!) * The Erawan Museum (we visited Muang Boran on our last trip) * Finally taking the time to check out Wat Phra Sri Maha Mariamman and Wat Yannawa (we’ve planned to go several times but never made it—are they worth a visit?)
This is what we’ve picked so far, but I’d love to hear about the favorite spots and recommendations from travelers who, like us, adore Bangkok.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Laetitia and Benjamin.

Eastern Senegal
# Eastern Senegal
Eastern Senegal is a fascinating region that offers a diversity of landscapes, rich culture, and captivating history. Located in the eastern part of the country, this area is often less explored than the coastal zones, but it’s definitely worth the detour.

27-Day Itinerary in the Canadian Rockies
Hello everyone!
We’re planning a trip to western Canada in September 2025. Here’s the route we’ve mapped out: - Calgary: 2 days - Lake Louise: 4 days, hikes around the lakes (L. Louise, L. Agnes, L. Moraine, L. Emerald) - Icefield Parkway - Jasper: 3 days, L. Maligne, Hot Springs - Fort Fraser - Prince Rupert - Inside Passage by boat - Port Hardy (Vancouver Island) - Port Alberni: 2 days, Cathedral Cove - Ucluelet: 2 days, Tofino - Victoria: 3 days - Crossing to Vancouver - Vancouver: 4 days Total: 27 days.
What do you think?
About the Inside Passage—has anyone here done it? Our only concern is the weather for that boat day between Prince Rupert and the northern part of Vancouver Island. Under clear skies, the landscapes are stunning. If it’s foggy or mediocre weather, well, we’ll have given it a shot! Just know you *have* to book the car passage way in advance.
Thanks for any tips or advice you can share! Cailleurs64

Hi everyone.
I just joined this site and I’m trying to enter the contest, but no luck!
For those who managed to do it, could you tell me how you did it? I followed all the instructions 😏
Thanks
