Avec mon amie nous preparons un voyage en Amerique Latine pour le debut du mois d'avril.

Nous allons arriver a Santiago du Chili pour tenter de rentrer en contact avec la population Mapuche. Ensuite nous pensons remonter jusqu'a SanFransisco pour septembre / octobre en passant par la cote ouest du continent Americain.

Nous aimerions savoir qu'elles peuvent etre nos problemes climatiques que nous pourrions rencontrer et aussi "lancer une invitation" aux routards du moment afin d'envisager une rencontre au cours de nos voyages respectifs //

Pérou : les classiques titicaca, puno, cuzco, machu pichu, arequipa, lima... combien de temps prévoir? Quelles liaisons possibles? Combien de temps, quels tarifs?

+ Est-il possible de trouver un billet pas cher pour faire Lima-Cayenne ou Lima-Belem ou encore Lima-manaus? Ou bien, faut-il descendre l'amazone pour pas dépenser des millions? Et alors, comment on fait pour aller de Lima à Belem? (Iquitos...?)

Ensuite : Guyane. Quelqu'un connaît bien?

Et Argentine? pareil... Que voir, en combien de temps, liaisons bus, avions etc....

nous partons en RD du 18/03 au 02/04 à l'hotel Paraiso del Sol à Cabarete

Nous y allons pour pour nous reposer et profiter de la plage certe, mais également pour visiter un peu l'intérieur du pays et faire connaissance avec ses habitants : Santiago, le Cibao, voir un peu la campagne et les montagnes: il y a bien une Cordillère, ou je me trompe! parce que je n'ai pas lu beaucoup de discussion à ce sujet;

aussi si vous avez eu l'occasion de visiter un peu ces régions merci de me donner votre avis, vos idées d'excursions, vos appréciations

je suis sure que l'intérieur est aussi intéressant et beau que ces magnifiques plages que vous nous décrivez et dont nous profiterons également !

Depuis les dernières années, j'ai eu la chance d'aller à des club dans les antilles.Bien sur, j'étais trop jeune pour vraiment m'amuser avec les G.O..Ils ne me prenait seulement comme un enfant vacancier.J'ai toujours aimé ce qu'ils faisaient mais rien de plus.Cependant, je suis allé à Santiago de Cuba il y a 2 semaines et c la que j'ai vraiment compris que je veux essayé ce travail.Pour la première fois, on me prennait au sérieux, à un tel point que je connaissait tout les membres de l'équipe d'annimation, leur boss et même les autres vacancier.Je vivais comme les G.O.: faire activité après activités, manger avec eux, connaitre aussi bien les danses de l.hôtel qu'eux, donner des cours de dance avec eux, faire des spectacles avec eux...Pour faire une histoire courte:COMMENT FAIT-ON POUR ALLER TRAVAILLER DANS UN DE CES CLUBS.jE SUIS TRÈS SÉRIEUX.

Je pars o mois de Fevrier seul et je me cherche un endroit ou ca bouge sans etre a Varadero suis allé a Cayo Largo et Holguin, je desire un hotel pour adultes preferablement, j'ai entendu que Santiago a un hotel pour adultes (club Bucanero) mais que c'etait plutot terne comme bouffe..O pire je retournerais a Varadero pour une 5eme fois et si c le cas avez vous des conseils comme hotel et pas loin des boites.

Bonjour - Nous allons en R.D. mi-mars par l'intermédiaire d'un Comité Entreprise (prix intéressant) aussi devons nous accepter la formule proposée par celui-ci, à savoir du "tout inclus" Cependant cette formule ne nous convient qu'à moitié, aussi avons nous envisagé de nous évader trois jours où nous ferions le circuit suivant : Punta-Cana - Santiago - Samana - retour Punta Cana, les autres jours nous ferions des balades pouvant se faire dans la journée. Nous envisageons SOIT de louer une voiture (Auto-Escape propose quelque chose SANS franchise) - SOITde faire appel à Kheller qui nous promènerait à la demande (celui-ci avait fait une proposition sur ce même site en Octobre) pour les trois jours, voir plus si ses prix sont dans nos moyens. Les transports en commun ne nous intéressent pas. Voici donc les quelques questions que l'on se pose (malgré toute la lecture très intéressant d'Alan) Témoignages des personnes qui auraient pu faire appel avant nous à Kheller Les excursions ainsi que les spectacles, que l'Hôtel MELAO à Punta Cana proposent Est-il nécessaire de prévoir des vaccinations, ainsi qu'un traitement anti-paludisme - personne n'en parle Pour les deux nuits où l'on va "découcher du Melao" trouvera-t-on sans problème de quoi dormir, sans réservation. - une aux environs de Santiago - l'autre vers Sanchez

🙁Salut a tous je suis ectuellement en amerique du sud au perou avec ma copine et franchement c'est exellent en revanche on vient de se rendre compte que díci peu nous allons avoir un serieux probleme!!!

Et oui on n'a pas ete tres malin et on n'est partis en achetant un billet de santiago du chili comptant rejoindre le chili apres l'amerique du sud afin de prendre un vol direction caracas jusque la tout va bien.

Le probleme c'est que nous avions comme projet une fois arriver sur place de nous rendre aux islas marguerita afin de faire du farniente apres un long et dur periple. Et la catastrophe nous avons rencontrer d'autres routards qui nous ont avertis des prix horriblement cher de ces iles et en effet apres quelques recherche sur le net je me suis rendu compte qu'il n'y avait rien en dessous de 30 DOLLARSet encore alors je vous en prie aidez nous !!!🤪

Si vous avez de bonnes adresses pas trop cher on est a fond preneur d'autant plus que nous avons aucun guide sous la main pour le venezuela meme si vous avez d'autres plans sur des iles des caraibes pas trop cher et sympathique on est ouvert a tous.

Here's our tentative itinerary: Day 1: Arrival in Santiago, then a flight the next day to Balmaceda where we'll pick up a rental car to reach Coyhaique. Day 3: Walk in the Coyhaique National Reserve, then continue to Puerto Chacabuco. Return to Coyhaique for the second night. Day 4: Drive to Villa Cerro Castillo for a hike in the national park. Continue to Puerto Tranquilo and stay there for 3 nights. Day 5: Boat tour on Laguna San Rafael. Day 6: Day trip to Monte San Valentin Glacier. Day 7: Excursion to the Marble Chapels, then drive to Puerto Guadal. We'll stay there for 3 nights. Day 8: Walk along Lago Carrera and return to Puerto Guadal. Day 9: Rio Baker Valley and, if possible, a glacier excursion. Day 10: Drive to Cochrane and hike in Tamango National Reserve. We'll stay 2 nights in Cochrane. Day 11: Walk in the Chacabuco Valley. Day 12: Drive to Caleta Tortel. We'll stay there for 2 nights. Day 13: Cruise in the Rio Baker delta. Day 14: Return to Cochrane. Day 15: Return to Balmaceda in two stages. Day 16: Continue the return journey. Day 17: Return the rental car and head back to Santiago.

After this, we're also planning to explore northern Santiago. I'll post about that part once I have a clearer idea of the route.

I’ve been looking for a destination for a 2-week trip early next spring, and Cape Verde has been growing on me. (The flight isn’t too long, the temperatures are more than pleasant, and it’s an unknown country for me.)

The thing is, Cape Verde is pretty complicated when it comes to inter-island transfers, and I don’t want to spend my time in airports or on ferries—especially since those transfers aren’t exactly known for their reliability...

So, I’d like to limit internal flights to just 2, meaning the island I arrive on plus one other.

I’ve ruled out the all-inclusive islands: Sal and Boa Vista.

I’m torn between combining Santo Antão + São Vicente or Fogo + Santiago.

The goal of the trip is to see beautiful landscapes, go on day hikes (nothing multi-day), swim a little—though I prefer quiet spots—and enjoy 1 or 2 days in a city, but not much more than that!

In your opinion, which option would be the best, and why?

We’re heading to Chile for two weeks at the end of December. I’m traveling with my son (17 years old). His mom, whom I’m divorced from, won’t be with us.

I’ve read on several sites—including official Chilean ones—that a Chilean exit permit is required for minors if they’re not accompanied by both parents. According to these sites, this authorization needs to be done at the Chilean consulate in Paris and then legalized upon arrival in Santiago.

This formality seems really cumbersome for French tourists who arrive together and leave together just two weeks later...

Hi everyone, We’re two women of a certain age heading off to discover Chile for three weeks starting at the end of December. We’re not really hikers, but we’re planning a few days in Torres del Paine (flying from Puerto Montt to Puerto Natales), though we’re having trouble getting around the park by transport and finding reasonably priced accommodation... There are a lot of bad reviews about the services on-site and the prices—overtourism! Is it still doable this season? Rent a car from Puerto Natales airport? Or would it be better to focus on another region that’s just as beautiful but less touristy? Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

And we still haven’t seen everything! Before setting off for new horizons at the end of this year, it’s time for me to share my trip to Cape Verde this summer 2025.

I particularly love these spontaneous trips, and our stay in Cape Verde is one of those because it was only at the beginning of April that we decided on this getaway, which had been catching our eye for a while, given our love for the mountains.

As always—well, when it’s open—I turned to VF, and I want to immediately thank Marie, aka ptitortue, who helped me a lot in planning this trip through her travel journals and our exchanges!

Because Cape Verde is both small and vast! We decided not to rush from one airport to another, to enjoy the places and the people, but also to relax, since the work backlog from being stuck in May (see my previous travel journal 😅) had to be caught up on in June.

So, 4 islands will be our winners from 06/28 to 07/19:

Santiago first for logistical reasons, as round-trip flights from the capital Praia were the cheapest (650 €/person from Lyon via Lisbon with TAP, still!)

São Vicente, because it’s the gateway to the next one but ultimately more than that...

Santo Antão, pretty much the main goal of the trip since Marie (and the photos) had really sold it to me.

And finally, Sal Island, for some rest—a non-negotiable condition for my other half—and we’ll see that I should’ve listened to Marie...

That said, what a chatterbox I am—buckle up, flight attendants at the doors, off we go on new beautiful escapes! (Thanks to Sophie for the easy loan)

Last note for my eager fan club 😏: yes, there will be alcohol—how could there not be in the land of grogue!

I tried booking tickets on either Turbus or Pullman from the Alameda station, but neither site lets us enter our nationality because it’s not listed in the dropdown. Is it really necessary to book the bus tickets online, or can we just grab them the morning of—or even 48 hours ahead at the station? Thanks! Odile

Today, we started looking into traveling in April 2026, either to Chile or Argentina. It’s our first trip to South America. I’ve only been to French Guiana once, about ten years ago, for the space center. In recent years, we’ve usually gone to Asia during the spring holidays.

Based on the flight tickets I’ve found, two arrival and departure options are available: - Arriving in Buenos Aires and departing from Salvador de Bahia. - Arriving in Santiago, Chile, and still departing from Salvador de Bahia.

We’re considering flying business class on the outbound flight so we arrive a bit more rested. The travel class might influence our choice between itinerary A or B.

We’d like to spend two days at Iguazu Falls (both the Argentine and Brazilian sides), which explains the departure from Brazil.

Initially, we thought about arriving in Buenos Aires and staying in Argentina before heading to Iguazu. However, the itinerary forces us to go back through Buenos Aires.

We love nature. The El Calafate region seems to offer beautiful, easily accessible landscapes. Maybe there’s another area we should prioritize.

Here are two itineraries—what do you think? I know it’s short, but we can’t add any more days. We’ll have to make it work.

Option A: D1(Sat): Flight from France to Buenos Aires – arrival at 9:55 PM. D2(Sun): Visit Buenos Aires D3(Mon): Visit Buenos Aires. D4(Tue): Flight from Buenos Aires to El Calafate – 3.5-hour flight – arrival around midday. D13(Thu): Half-day on the Brazilian side – flight around 7:00 PM to Salvador de Bahia. D2(Sun): Visit Santiago, Chile D3(Mon): Departure for Puerto Natales, Punta Arenas, or El Calafate – to be decided. There’s about a 3-hour flight. We need to check the drop-off fees if we pick up the car in Chile and return it in Argentina – see ADEL RENT A CAR. D3(Mon) – until D10(Mon) – visit the El Calafate region: El Calafate / 121km / El Chaltén / 12km / Mount Fitz Roy / 4km / Cerro Torre Mountain / 132km / Perito Moreno Glacier / 57km / El Calafate. I’m currently on a motorcycle trip through South America. I’m riding a Honda XR 150L registered in Chile, which I bought in my name. I have my Chilean RUT and the *padrón* (vehicle registration) for the bike. I’m traveling solo and planning to visit the Salar de Uyuni, Cusco, and Machu Picchu before returning to Santiago in the next 60 days.

I tried crossing the border at Ollagüe, but I was denied entry into Bolivia even though I have all the necessary paperwork. The customs officers told me I needed to be a Chilean resident to enter with a Chilean-registered motorcycle, which I’m not (I only have the RUT).

I’m looking for: -A more flexible alternative to cross into Bolivia (or even Argentina or Peru if necessary). -Recent experiences from other travelers who entered Bolivia with a Chilean-registered motorcycle. -Possible solutions (additional documents? international insurance? special visa or permit?).

I’m open to adjusting my itinerary, but I’d really like to continue the trip with my motorcycle. Thanks in advance for any help or advice! !
