l Inde me fascine, tant au niveau de la culture historique qu humanitairement parlant. Je pense que leurs conditions de vie st une bonne relativisation de notre oppulence occidentale et une lecon d humilite. J aimerai la decouvrir l ete 2004 et ne possede que peu d infos pratiques pour un tel voyage, que peut on apporter, et que peut on leur laisser?. Je projette de me faire un circuit en train a travers l inde du nord.

je projette de prendre le trans-siberien de Mosou a vladivostock ( a priori en fevrier 2004) et aimerais avoir des renseignements qu en a l organisation d un tel voyage( savoir si il faut reserver en france ou directement a Moscou), les moddalites de transport ( avion) et le cout...d un tel voyage ( je suis encore etudiant et dc mes finances ne st que peu extensibles...)

Quelles sont egalement les trucs a savoir au niveau de la securite en russie et notamnent sur ce parcours.

Bonjour ! je viens de lire sur le site du lonelyplanet qu'il fallait réserver ses places de train en Inde plusieurs semaines à l'avance... J'y serai en décembre/janvier, mais je n'ai pas particulièrement planifié d'itinéraire, et surtout pas les dates exactes auxquelles je serai à tel ou tel endroit ! ce qui rend difficile toute réservation... Ne peut-on pas simplement prendre le billet sur place quelques jours à l'avance, voire le jour même ??? Cela serait un élément très restrictif à ma vision du voyage "aventure"...😕

on a tous connu des moments plus ou moins marquants lors de nos voyages. Certains instants étaient même si forts qu'ils ont contribué à une révélation. Par exemple untel a compris que le plus important, finalement, était de rester en vie, un autre qu'il devait se mettre à tel instrument, un autre enfin qu'en Occident, on était quand même gâtés, par rapport à plein d'autres endroits. Il peut s'agir d'une prise de conscience sur soi, ou sur le monde, ou les deux...

Hello, 67 years old, been hiking for a long time, staying in mountain huts during the season and trekking in Nepal for a few years now (three treks with 2/3 people: Mustang, Gokyo Lakes, Kanchenjunga South BC, and two solo treks: Langtang-Gosaikunda in 2025 and Makalu BC in 2026). I’d like to share another project like Lower Dolpo, Kanchenjunga North and South BC loop, or Manaslu Circuit. Open to other destinations but would prefer to avoid overly touristy areas. And what’s more... we won’t be two, or four, or even ten. We’ll be a solid thirty. All from the same family. Yes, thirty. At this point, it’s not just a trip—it’s a summer camp on the move! Why inflict this on such a peaceful island? Because my brother decided to get married there with his lovely bride. A great idea, you might say... especially when it involves relocating the equivalent of a small Ardennes village 10,000 kilometers from home for three weeks! I’d love to hear your thoughts on the agencies you used to plan your trip to Uganda.

There’s the whole issue of gorilla permits, which need to be booked in advance and involve a significant financial commitment. That’s where I’m at with my trip planning. Between checking lutb.go.ug/ and reading online reviews, it’s hard to move forward with confidence.

I contacted the French Embassy, but they don’t provide any recommendations. I almost booked with an agency that had a really bad review from February specifically about the permit process.

How did you go about choosing your agency? Given the large sum involved, I’m this close to booking through a travel agency in France for this part.

From what I understand, no matter which agency books the permit, you’re ultimately guided by professionals trained for gorilla trekking based on the permit itself? I’m assuming that’s how it works.

Here we go—finally, the big day has arrived! A trip the whole family (my two kids, my husband, and me) had been looking forward to for so long. To keep it short, we left from Nice, arrived in Namibia on June 25, 2025, and left again on the 21st—four weeks later. We used an agency for all the camping reservations, activities, and the car rental. At least that side of things was taken care of. Michaël was our contact throughout the planning and the trip itself.

We spent our first night at Londiningi BB. A bit out of the city center but very quiet. The rooms were spacious and clean, and we could eat on-site that evening. Perfect for recovering from the flight.

Hello everyone, A message to warn potential customers of "Go Voyages" about my recent experience. I left from Geneva for Colombo on December 18, 2025, with a round-trip business-class ticket purchased on Go Voyages, with Etihad Airways, and a layover in Abu Dhabi. Access to the business lounge was denied (I have a 7-hour layover both ways), and I had to pay $160 to get in, despite having a business-class boarding pass. I’m currently in Sri Lanka, and for a month now, I’ve been trying to get an explanation for this refusal and to find out if I’ll be denied access again on my return on March 12, 2026. After two calls to the priority line of the "Prime" service I subscribed to (a paid subscription, of course), which is supposed to assist me 24/7 during my trip, after about ten emails that only led to being redirected to links like Opodo, then eDreams (an inaccessible site), and then other links that just sent me in circles... it’s absolutely insane, all this just to answer a fairly simple question: why wasn’t I informed about this potential refusal by Etihad when I made my purchase? All Go Voyages would need to do is contact the airline to resolve this quickly... but no!!! After a month, ten emails, the last response was: contact the airline directly!!! Which, of course, redirected me back to Go Voyages!! Completely unacceptable! The "Prime" service from Go Voyages is a total scam—completely ineffective, with customer service nowhere to be found. My issue isn’t life-or-death, but imagine a more serious situation where you’d need quick assistance... don’t count on "Go Voyages" to help you at all!! You’d likely be pretty disappointed!! My advice: RUN from this agency, which is headquartered in Spain and owns Opodo, eDreams, and Go Voyages.

The airline recommends a carrier size of 43×35×20 cm, but despite calling them several times, we can’t figure out if the 20 cm is the height or width, or if the carrier can be slightly larger. hi, after a 13-day trek between Drakensberg, Lesotho, and the Wild Coast that’ll end in Durban, I’d love to extend the fun for a few more days (4 or 5) by heading to a reserve. Ideally, it’d offer not just the usual daytime 4x4 safaris but also "morning walks." I’ve already explored the coast up to St Lucia and done Hluhluwe-Umfolozi, iSimangaliso… so I’d prefer to head south or west instead. It’d also need to include pickup and drop-off at Durban airport—I don’t feel like renting a car that’ll just sit unused for days.

I’ve done some research and narrowed it down, and Springbok Lodge (Nambiti Game Reserve) caught my eye. => Anyone familiar with it—what do you think? => Any other suggestions? I’d like to avoid Phezulu—it feels more like an amusement park—and Shongweni Nature Reserve seems more focused on family-friendly activities.

We’re transiting through Mumbai (Air India flight), then after a few hours, we’ll take a SriLankan Airlines flight to Colombo.

The return trip follows the same route 26 days later.

The issue is about the Indian visa.

1- Do we need an Indian visa since we’ll only be at Mumbai Airport for a few hours (no checked baggage)?

2- Do we need a double-entry visa?

Our dog weighs 5 kg without the bag—no problem for the Paris-Guadeloupe flight—but the limit is 5 kg *including* the bag for the Guadeloupe-Saint Martin leg. we have flights with Swiss and Lufthansa for January; our flights are still in our booking file. But after reading that the Cambodian ambassador in Paris advised against transiting through Bangkok (which is our case), I reached out to the airlines to potentially change our ticket via Singapore. However, both companies have canceled all flights to Cambodia, regardless of the day or airport. Flights with Oman Air from CDG Paris – on time – good meals – screen. **Phone**: I got the Oman pass from Orange for 29.99 € before leaving – valid for 30 days with 20GB – SMS, etc. Everyone uses WhatsApp there. **Car**: Booked with Travz Car Rental – 18 days – 175 rials – no deposit – delivered to the airport at P1, Level 1 – Tel. +968 9536 1234 – return at P1, Level 4 – all at your convenience and no waiting. I recommend, a brand-new sedan (1,300 km on the odometer) – enough for everything (even Jebel Shams but not Jebel Hajar and the desert). Exceptional floods occurred last week in central Vietnam, in the Hoi An and Hue regions. These areas get a lot of rain every year, but this time it's historically devastating.

The images are striking, horrifying, and surreal for those of us—like me—who walked these beautiful streets not long ago: the old town of Hoi An completely submerged, water up to the rooftops, the Japanese Bridge barely peeking out of the water... In Hue, the flag monument in front of the Imperial City entrance was nothing more than an island...
