Préparant un séjour de 4 semaines en juillet aout 2010, je souhaiterai connaître les tarifs pratiqués pour un véhicule de 6m de long et 3m de haut pour la traversée dans les fjords de l'ouest entre Stykkisholmur et Brjanslaekur via Flatey. Merci pour votre aide.

Bonjour tout le monde! Je suis entrain de constituer un petit circuit pour mes vacances, qui inclueraientt l'Ile de Skye, les Shetlands et les Iles Faroe. Si je n'ai aucun probleme pour la connection Ecosse mainland - Shetlands par Aberdeen, les seuls liens que jai trouve avec les iles Faroe sont des ferryes-Vols Faroe/Norvege..... Ce qui me fait faire un sacre detour! (et cher qui plus est!)

Est-ce que l'un d'entre vous sait si durant les periodes estivales, il existerait des moyens plus rapides pour atteindre Faroe en partant d'Ecosse?

Je suis en attente de réponse d'une agence de voyage mais je voulais quand-même voir si qq'un avait des infos sur l'existence d'un air pass entre (Nouvel- zeeland) - Fiji (île principale et autres) - Samoa - Tonga - ( Nouvel-calédonie). Je sais qu'on peut prendre des Ferrys entre les îles des Fiji; est-ce qu'il existe des vol et quel peut être le prix? Sur internet les recherches bloquent avant de connâitre les prix ...

Je suis à Singapour pour l'année, et souhaiterait plannifier des vacances à Noël en Australie. J'ai entendu parler qu'il serait possible de rejoindre l'Australie par l'Indonésie, en longeant les différentes îles depuis Singapour. Ceci voudrait dire enchainer les bus et les ferrys pour arriver soit directement en Australie, soit prendre un petit avion depuis Bali ou je ne sais quel aéroport plus loin si le trajet en bateau n'est pas possible. Cela représenterait un voyage de 3 semaines.

Je voulais savoir si vous avez entendu parler de ce type de voyage, s'il est réalisable et comment faire !?? Merci d'avance pour votre aide!

Nous avons un mariage le 21 08 2008 à Glandore, petit village du Comté de Cork. Aussi nous souhaitons en profiter pour visiter un peu les Comté de Cork et le Kerry. Nous partons de Roscoff en Bretagne avec Brittany Ferrys et nous aurons notre voiture.

Comme c'est notre première visite en Irlande et que nous ne connaissons pas du tout le pays. Nous vous serions reconnaissants de bien vouloir nous suggérer les plus beaux endroits à visiter dans les Comtés de Cork et le Kerry. Nous disposerons de 4 jours.

Nous allons partir 2 semaines, entre juillet et août dans les Cyclades ... la pire période ... mais bon, c'est ça ou rien.

Donc la question qui se pose est comment profiter au maximum de 15 jours en couple sac à dos sans nous noyer dans des bains de foules et passer notre temps dans les files d'attente des ferrys.

Nous souhaitions faire 4 ou 5 îles dans ce laps de temps, est-ce enviseageable sans que cela soit le stress ?

Est-ce que vous avez des conseils d'itinéraire sympathique à nous conseiller ? Iles, logement, randonnées (balades), plages, nature, ...

Nous avons également pensé prendre notre tente pour aller dans les campings, est-ce une bonne idée ?

J'ai réservé le vol air asia surat/Bangkok pour le 8 février. Le décollage est à 12h30 de surat arrivée 13h40 Bkk.

Étant donné qu'il faut être à 10h30 à l'aéroport de surathani ; Ma question est ? A quelle heure faut-il partir de koh Samui ?

J'ai le choix entre prendre un avion directement pour Ibiza, ou de prendre un avion low cost vers Barcelone et puis ensuite de me rendre par moi même sur l'île. Les prix des ferrys sont exorbitants, mais j'ai entendu dire qu'il était possibile de trouver sur place des bateaux qui accepterons de vous emmener pour 10/20 euro. Info ou intox ? Amicalement,

I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed with all the scattered info out there and I'm struggling to organize my solo trip to French Polynesia. I'm all about snorkeling—no hiking for me—so it's all about the water, water, water... I'd love to meet whales (what's the best season?), stay with locals or in budget guesthouses (I'm pretty low-key, no worries about comfort), and most importantly, be as close to the coral reefs as possible (all day long...).

I’ve been looking for a destination for a 2-week trip early next spring, and Cape Verde has been growing on me. (The flight isn’t too long, the temperatures are more than pleasant, and it’s an unknown country for me.)

The thing is, Cape Verde is pretty complicated when it comes to inter-island transfers, and I don’t want to spend my time in airports or on ferries—especially since those transfers aren’t exactly known for their reliability...

So, I’d like to limit internal flights to just 2, meaning the island I arrive on plus one other.

I’ve ruled out the all-inclusive islands: Sal and Boa Vista.

I’m torn between combining Santo Antão + São Vicente or Fogo + Santiago.

The goal of the trip is to see beautiful landscapes, go on day hikes (nothing multi-day), swim a little—though I prefer quiet spots—and enjoy 1 or 2 days in a city, but not much more than that!

In your opinion, which option would be the best, and why?

We’re a Canadian couple, both 77, and we’re already planning our vacation for fall 2027. Timeframe: mid-September to mid-October... dates are flexible, and we might stay even longer. Initially, I had planned this itinerary: Athens (3), Naxos (4), Paros (4), Santorini (4), then a flight to Istanbul (7–10 days!!). This would let us maximize our flights and experience another culture. That’s a lot of ferries, though... I’ve already cut out Milos.

Our second option would be to stay 2 x 15 days on two different islands, but I’d still keep Istanbul as our next destination... or maybe 30 days on one island that offers the chance to take day trips to other islands where the ferry ride is no more than 2 to 2.5 hours. For example, Naxos to Paros only takes 30 minutes. We could return the same evening or stay overnight.

Naxos seems like the best option!!!

For Istanbul, of course we want to do a day cruise on the Bosphorus and see Hagia Sophia. If we stay 6–7 days, what would be the other main attractions? Are there any points of interest we can reach by local bus?

Thanks for all your contributions on the forum—they’ve really helped me plan my trip. There are four of us friends heading to Sulawesi for 20 days. Based on all your advice, I’ve put together the following itinerary:

July 30: Makassar – sightseeing July 31: Makassar – sightseeing + overnight bus to Rantepao August 1–7: Tana Toraja with a guide August 7: Tana Toraja to Tentena + visit Tentena August 8: Early departure with a private driver to Ampana, then ferry to the Togian Islands August 9–15: Togian Islands (2 different resorts) August 15: Depart Togian Islands for Luwuk August 16: Flight Luwuk to Makassar August 17: Rammang Rammang August 18: Stroll in Makassar, then return home

Overall, what do you think?

I also have a question about the connection between Tentena and the Togian Islands: Is it doable to leave early in the morning as planned and still be sure not to miss the ferry?

Family of 4—2 adults and 2 kids (11 and 15) who are well-traveled. We’re planning a 15-day trip to Indonesia and would love your thoughts on our itinerary. We love discovering local culture, food (!!), seeing beautiful landscapes, and keeping an active pace. We’re not the type to lounge on the beach for 5 hours or spend ages by the pool when we’re halfway across the world. Also, we try to avoid places "ruined" by mass tourism (like Holbox in Mexico, which we loved 10 years ago but not at all on our last visit, or Phi Phi in Thailand, completely destroyed by mass tourism).

Special note: we love traveling by train :)

Here’s what we’ve planned so far:

**Day 1** Arrival in Jakarta, then domestic flight to Yogyakarta. Settle in Yogyakarta.

**Day 2** Borobudur in the morning, then exploring nearby villages.

**Day 3** Prambanan in the morning, followed by culinary discovery / market / local vibe in Yogyakarta.

**Day 4** Train to Jombang, then driver/bus to the Bromo area. Overnight stay.

**Day 5** Sunrise at Bromo, exploring the volcano and sea of sand. Relax in the afternoon.

**Day 6** Travel to eastern Java, then train, ferry, and road to reach Sidemen in Bali.

**Day 7** Sidemen

**Day 8** Sidemen

**Day 9** Sidemen

**Day 10** Transfer to Gili Air (car to the port + fast boat?)

**Day 11** Gili Air

**Day 12** Gili Air

**Day 13** Transfer to Ubud

Hi there, We’d like to visit Vietnam during the visa exemption period (45 days), and our flight ticket is already booked. After that, we plan to head to Cambodia via the fast boat from Chau Doc and return to Belgium from Cambodia. I don’t think we can buy the boat ticket from here. Do you think this is doable? I’m worried about potential issues at boarding in Brussels if I don’t have proof of leaving Vietnam after the 45 days. Thanks for your advice!
