Merci de me renseigner si la période de Janvier à Mars est propice à faire une croisière. Nous hésitons entre le Nord et le Sud car il parait que le climat à une même période est différent. Combien de temps le vol Paris Phuket dure t' il ?

J'ai entendu qu'il y avait des violences dans le sud de la thaialnde par des separatistes musulmans qui on déja décapiter 5 pov gars ce mois ci???

Depuis j'hésite fortement à y aller dans le sud

Je suis allée en thailande 4 fois et je pense partir fin février pour une cinquième fois. Suite au tsunami, je ne sais que faire. 1ere option : koh samui - koh pha ngan - koh tao, mais j'ai peur qu'il y ait beaucoup de monde. Faut-il réserver pour toutes les nuits ? ou puis-je tenter de voir sur place au risque de ne pas trouver d'hotels dispo ? Et comment aller de bangkok à koh samui sans que ce soit trop long ? car le tarif d'un vol paris - bangkok - koh samui est très élevé.

2ème option : phuket - krabi - koh lipe : mais je m'interroge. Est-ce une bonne idée par respect au drame survenu ?

Alors j'hésite pourtant si je veux partir fin février il faudrait que je me décide. Je souhaiterais avoir quelques avis.

nous partons en Thaïlande les 15 derniers jours d'octobre. Comme les vacances sont courtes, plutot que de courir comme des fous pour voir un maximum de trucs, nous voudrions, après un petit passage à Bangkok, aller tranquillement dans les îles faire du snorkeling.

Qu'iriez vous voir en priorité si vous aviez très peu de temps à Bangkok?

Je reviens déjà du Sri Lanka et je voudrais cette fois bouger sur la Thaïlande car les vols sont abordables. J'y vais avec ma fille de 16ans. Moi non plus, je n'ai rien réservé, je compte me débrouiller sur place.

En gros, j'arrive à BKK, j'y reste une nuit avant de partir pour Chiang Mai et le Triangle d'Or. Puis, avion pour Phuket: destination les iles de la mer d'Andaman jusqu'à Kho Lipe. Puis, retour sur BKK pour shopping et visite (2 jours).

Bonjour, Je pars en Thailande en Aout avec mon ami. Nous serons dans le sud du 17 au 21. J'aurais voulu des conseils dans le choix d'une île. Au départ, on avait sélectionné Koh Pha-Ngang près de Koh Samui car elle est parait-il moins touristique et moins chère que cette dernière. Cependant j'ai lu dans divers forum et dans le Lonely planet que les plus belles iles sont Koh Lipe et Koh Tarutao. Malheureusement j'ai cru comprendre qu'elles étaient difficilement accessibles en Aout à cause des tempêtes. Pourriez-vous me renseigner à ce sujet, me conseiller une ile ? Sachant que la plongée sous-marine n'est pas vraiment notre intérêt principal (plutôt paysage, promenade, baignade, rando. vélo... en somme une île paradisiaque !! Merci d'avance Patricia

I’m heading to Thailand for the first time at the end of January 2026 for two weeks. I’m traveling with someone who’s already been there, so we’re planning to hit some of the must-see spots but also visit places my partner wants to see—like Krabi, for example. We want a bit of everything: cities, food, culture, walks, but also beach time and relaxation. I’d love your thoughts on this itinerary idea—is it doable without feeling too rushed? We’ve got 16 nights there. There’s a part of the trip that’s still up in the air where I’m not sure what to do. Either we add a national park or a city like Erawan? The goal is to see beautiful landscapes, waterfalls (if there’s water at that time of year!), and wildlife... Or maybe we don’t add anything and just extend our time in the other stops! Depending on the final choice, the order might need adjusting 🙂

Day 1: Land in Bangkok from Paris at 2 PM—either we take a direct flight to Krabi to start our trip there (and end in Bangkok on the way back), or we stay in Bangkok for 3 days. Day 1/Day 2/Day 3/Day 4 (3.5 days, 4 nights): Bangkok (temples, floating market, possibly a day trip to Ayutthaya) Day 5/Day 6/Day 7/Day 8: Travel to Krabi, Railay, and day trips to the surrounding islands Day 9/Day 10/Day 11/Day 12: Travel to an island (probably Koh Tao), snorkeling, diving, trekking, Ang Thong excursion? Day 16: Return to Bangkok Day 17: Departure (flight at 2 PM)

What do you think? Any advice or tips on the itinerary or the ideas for Days 13-15? (Which could be moved to another part of the trip depending on the route.) My wife and I are heading to Thailand in April 2025 with our two daughters, aged 4 and 7. I’d love to get your thoughts and some great tips on our itinerary (which isn’t set in stone at all!!). We’re planning to arrive in Phuket and head straight to Koh Lanta (4/5 nights). I’d love to visit another spot in the area, but nothing’s really grabbing us—so if you’ve got any ideas, we’re all ears! Next, we’re heading to Koh Phangan (the north) for about 4 nights. After that, we’ll head east to Ko Chang and Koh Kood, spending around 3 nights on each island. Then, Bangkok for 2 days and one night before flying back to France. We’ll have about 16-17 days there. Like most people, we’re looking for quiet spots, far from big resorts, with beaches, pools, and walks/activities for our young kids. From my research, the west has great beaches and views, while the east offers a bit more adventure and fewer crowds. Thanks in advance for your feedback!

Hi everyone, we’ll be in Thailand from August 2nd to 21st, arriving in Bangkok on the 2nd for a visit. From the 5th to the 8th: Angkor temples. Then, starting on the 9th, we’re planning to head to Chiang Mai, and by the 14th or 15th, we’d like to be on an island until the 19th, when we return to Bangkok. Five days in Chiang Mai seems a bit long to us. What do you recommend between the 9th and 15th, and which island? We’re not big fans of sunbathing—we’d love to snorkel and explore the island. this time I’m heading to Southeast Asia with my wife and our 3-year-old.

I went to the Philippines almost 10 years ago and actually met some forum members there. It was love at first sight.

I’ve booked tickets from January 10 to March 31 for Bangkok (amazing price from Milan). I was thinking of spending: 3 weeks in Thailand 3 weeks in Vietnam 1 month in the Philippines.

Don’t worry, I won’t spam the forum with a thousand messages asking how to get from point A to point B :)))

I’m reaching out to the experts or regulars here for suggestions and ideas!

For Thailand, Obviously, some beautiful beaches wouldn’t hurt for a bit of relaxation. I was thinking of Koh Phayam or Koh Kood (or Koh Chang). If anyone knows a nice spot, even if it’s not on an island, I’m all ears. It’s tricky to ask this for Thailand, but I’m looking for a bit of tranquility (so I’ll probably avoid Phuket, Koh Samui, etc.). (Though I know sometimes you just need to get off the beaten path to find some peace, but I’m not sure if that’s the case in Thailand.)

Vietnam—I have no idea!! A friend mentioned Danang, which could be a good base to explore the countryside/inland areas.

And the Philippines—I had a huge crush on the country (Bantayan, Dumaguete, Sipalay, Siquijor) and really want to go back, maybe to new places/islands.

I have one constraint: We’ll stay in the same place each time. With a kid, it’s tough to move every 2 days (unlike when I’m solo), and I hope this will let us connect with locals by staying put for 3 weeks at a time. (Plus, my budget is pretty tight, so the idea is to negotiate a good price for 3 weeks in the same accommodation.) (My rough budget is 1000 € per month for the three of us: 450 € for lodging, 450 € for food, and 100 € for a scooter. This doesn’t include boat, bus, etc. transfers.)

If you have any ideas, tips, or experiences to share, I’m all ears! I’m totally open to shortening or extending our stays in each country, even if it means skipping one of the three.

we’re heading to Thailand for 15 days at the end of February/beginning of March.

We haven’t booked our flight tickets yet, but we will soon... we’ve scoured quite a few sites to figure out where to start, but it’s still not clear.

We like to alternate between relaxation on beautiful beaches and sightseeing.

We’re thinking of landing in Bangkok and staying there for 2 or 3 days. Then, we’d spend a day visiting Ayutthaya. I’m skipping Chiang Mai on purpose—it’s too far north. After that, we’d head south (by plane?).

We love snorkeling, canoeing, kayaking, or any water sports. We won’t have any means of transportation—no car rental, or at most, a bike! We’ve looked at Koh Lanta, Koh Phi Phi, Koh Tao... and I’m already getting lost with all the options...

The kids might enjoy seeing elephants, but only if it’s done in a way that respects animal welfare.

That’s why I was thinking we could fly back from Bangkok instead of another city.

There are a lot of questions, but the biggest one is figuring out the route.

Hi everyone, I know my post might sound a bit repetitive with the questions asked regularly on this forum, but I’m feeling a little lost and thought I’d still ask for your help. Here’s my situation: I’m traveling to Thailand with my wife and 12-year-old son during the February 2025 school holidays. We’ll be spending 12 nights in the country. So far, I only have our flight tickets to and from Phuket. Now, I need to plan an itinerary that lets us discover beautiful places and the culture of this country. I’d like to stay by the sea, with stunning fine-sand beaches and breathtaking landscapes in areas that aren’t too urban, but also be able to see some beautiful monuments, typical villages, and wildlife not too far away. That said, I don’t want to be lost deep in the jungle either—I’d like a bit of atmosphere in the evenings (no nightclubs, but rather nice bars with music). I’ve done some research and here’s a first draft of what I might do:

Spend my first 3 nights in the suburbs of Phuket to explore the city and the province more broadly, Then head to Ko Yao Noi for 2 nights to discover the charms of Phang Nga Bay, Next, fly from Krabi to spend 4 nights on Koh Samui (maybe with a little excursion to Ko Pha Ngan?), Then fly back to Krabi to reach Koh Phi Phi for 2 nights, Finally, return to the Phuket area for my last night in Thailand to be close for my flight the next day.

The idea is to explore several places without having to pack and unpack every day, and to avoid spending hours on transport every day. What do you think? Do the places seem relevant? If so, does the number of nights seem appropriate? Thanks in advance for your help, Best regards, Lionel

Je remarque que a Khao lak, Patong, et autres , les hôtels sont uniquement logement petit dej . Je suppose que ma question trouvera peut-être difficilement réponse mais manger midi et soir à l'hôtel est il fort onéreux ? Ou alors faut il trouver un hotel proche de restaurants et bars de rue ? J'ai peur de me retrouver avec 2000€ de note en boissons et repas a la fin du séjour.

de retour sur le forum, cette fois-ci je sollicite de l'aide des pros de la Thailande pour un avis sur un itinéraire.. Pour planter le décor, ce sera notre première dans un pays asiatique, nous sommes plutôt habitués aux voyages en Europe et l'ouest Américain, donc très peu de connaissance sur le "mode" Asie si ce n'est ce que j'ai lu a droite et à gauche dans les carnets de voyage... Nous envisageons ce voyage en janvier 2021 (ou on est pas en retard, mais pour commencer à regarder les prix des billets d'avion sans tarder, il fallait que j'ai une base...)

A priori, les tarifs des billets d'avion sont beaucoup plus intéressants sur du Lyon (aeroport proche de chez nous) Bangkok, mais pour un premier voyage en Thailande, nous n'avons pas envie de visiter cette énorme mégalopole... Et nous ne savons pas trop si sur le secteur Chiang Mai ou dans le centre et sud, nous pouvons louer une voiture, donc j'ai pour l'instant fait 2 options... Donc, l'itinéraire serait le suivant ...

J1+2 : Vol Lyon - Chiang Mai J3 - 4 - 5 : visite du secteur de Chiang Mai avec location voiture ou excursions avec chauffeur En fin de J5, vol pour Surat Thani ou le matin du J6 (selon horaires et tarifs des vols) J6 : Arrivée à Surat Thani la veille au soir ou le matin - Option location de voiture (je crois qu'il y a Budget à l'aeroport) : route pour Prachuak KK Option train pour monter à Prachuap KK J7 - 8 - 9 : Secteur Prachuap KK + Sam Roi Yot (grotte Phraya Nakhon) Jour 9, si location de voiture, on commence à redescendre ... Si train, jour 9 train de nuit à PKK 23h56 pour arriver le matin du J10 à Surat Thani

J10 : Si voiture, selon où on se sera posé la veille, suite de la route jusqu'au parc National de Khao Sok Si on arrive au train à Surat Thani, transfert à Khao Sok, ou prise d'une location de voiture à Surat Thani car je pense que dans se secteur jusqu'à Krabi, ça ne doit pas être trop dangereux car pas de trop grandes distances (contrairement à la route entre Surat et Prachuap qui est peut-être longue...) J11 : excursion Khao Sok et nuit sur le lac... A voir comment on peut organiser cela, on voudrait quand même quelque chose d'assez confortable sur le lac, faire une balade sur le lac où il y a les grandes falaises et une petite rando dans la jungle mais sans forcément visiter des grottes en marchant dans l'eau... On est pas très aventuriers "Koh Lantha"

J12 : Route (si voiture) ou Transfert sur Krabi au retour de notre nuit sur le lac

J13 - 14 - 15 : Installation Krabi (Ao Nang ?) pour 3 jours, repos et excursions baie de Phang Nga Si voiture, nous la rendrons fin de jour 15

J16 : Speed boat pour Koh Lipe J 17 - 18 : Koh Lipe J19 : Speed Boat pour Krabi - J20 : Vol Krabi - Lyon / Selon tarifs des vols, eventuellement faire un vol Krabi / BKK en fin de J19 et Vol BKK - Lyon si plus interessant

Voilà en gros, merci de me dire si cela semble réalisable... De plus, pensez-vous que nous puissions arriverà boucler avec un budget de maxi 2000 € par personne ?? En tenant compte que nous essayerons de choisir des hébergement de moyenne catégorie, pas de 25 € la nuit mais pas non plus des hebergements de luxe... A priori compter un hebergement assez cher pour la nuit sur le lac de Khao Sok, mais bon... J'ai vu qu'il fallait compter environ 20 € par jour pour une location de voiture, ce qui reste assez cher pour la Thailande, mais je suppose que sans voiture, si on additionne le train et les coûts de tranferts, guide (même si dans certains cas, on aura besoin de guide avec une voiture), cela devrait peut-être nous revenir largement plus cher ??? J'ai aussi pensé au système location de voiture avec chauffeur, mais cela veut dire qu'on aurait besoin de quelqu'un du jour 6 à 12, donc je pense assez cher aussi surtout si on veut un chauffeur qui parle Anglais. Dans ce cas là, les chauffeurs font-il guide en même temps, ou juste chauffeur et qu'on doive à chaque endroit prendre un guide si besoin ?? Désolée pour ces questions qui peuvent paraître bêtes, mais l'Asie est pour l'instant un grand mystère pour nous.

Enfin dernière chose, normalement nous partons seulement à 2 : si nous proposons à des amis de se joindre à nous et que nous sommes 4 ou 6, vaudrait-il le coup de demander à une agence française de nous organiser ce circuit avec chauffeur ? J'ai remarqué que les tarifs des agences sont chères pour 2 personnes mais que le prix baisse considérablement si on est plus nombreux : dans ce cas, avez-vous des agences à me conseiller car en tapant sur Google, il y en a à profusion...

Nous allons en février - mars dans le sud de la Thaïlande (17 jours sur place) avec notre fille de 5 ans. Nous atterrirons à Phuket où nous ne resterons sans doute pas (à part la veille du retour et le jour de l'arrivée).

Nous envisageons d'aller à Khao Sok, Krabi, Ko Lanta (ou une autre île, je lis des avis plutôt partagés à son sujet) et Ko Yao Noi. Je pense qu'on fera dans cet ordre.

Que pensez-vous de cet itinéraire ? Des avis sur Krabi et Ko Lanta ? J'ai lu pas mal de choses négatives sur Krabi (sale, trop de monde même si je sais qu'à cette époque c'est inévitable), où vaut-il mieux loger ?

Merci ! PS : ce sera pour mon conjoint et moi notre deuxième voyage en Thaïlande. Lors du premier nous étions allés à Bangkok, Ayuttayah, Ko Tao et Ko Phangan.
