je compte passer quelques semaines à parcourir la Turquie à compter du mois de mars. je compte bien sûr visiter Istanbul et ensuite je veux partir visiter l'Est de la Turquie (Erzurum, Kars, Van, Diyarbakir) et revenir par la Cappadoce. Si j'ai le temps je passerais bien également par la région de la Mer Noire. je n'ai pas encore d'itinéraire bien établi. Je compte voyager en bus ou train.

Je souhaitais donc avoir des avis et conseils de femmes qui ont voyagé seules en Turquie et avoir également leurs impressions de voyage.

Nous sommes 4 filles et nous voulons partir pour le costa Rica les deux dernières semaines de mars. Est-ce un bon temps pour partir? Nous n'avons pas choisi de lieu on prépare le voyage et on s'informe

De plus nous sommes des mordue de plein air de faune et tous ce qui touche la nature sauvage. Nous cherchons des renseignements sur les parcs a visiter cependant nous ne voulons pas de trip...fait à l'avance style agence de voyage...Est-ce possible d'arriver sur place et sans réservation.

Pour ce qui est du logements qu'est ce qui est le mieux les cabinas le camping ou chez l'habitant? ou louer une maison Quel sont les prix?

Nous n'avons jamais voyagé et le temps est venu de se botter les fesses alors si vous pouvez nous aider a sortir de notre petit monde cela serait grandement apprécié.

Nous sommes ouverte a rencontrer des gens qui oeuvrent dans le domaine de la faune et des parcs ou encore des écoles qui offrent des programmes de biologie ou autre domaine connexe histoire d'échanger des connaissances sur le milieu

L'hôtel susmentionné en objet a fait son ouverture récemment. Je vous invite donc à me fournir vos commentaires sur: le rapport qualité prix, nourriture, divertissement, beauté de la plage, animation, visites touristiques des lieux, qualité des spectacles. Est-ce vrai qu'il y a une plage nudiste, que le monokini est permis. Est- vrai qu'il y seulement 2 hôtels à Santa Maria lequel choisir? Nous n'avons pas voyagé souvent mais un agent de voyage nous mentionnait que notre premier voyage à Punta Cana plus précisemment au Flamenco de la chaîne Occidental Hôtel serait difficile à battre pour les critère susmentionné.😎 Que pensez vous de cet endroit en général?

Nous allons faire un voyage en Tunisie à partir du 15 mars pour 3 semaines et nous aimerions en connaître un peu plus sur ce pays (météo, endroit à visiter vraiment, resto, etc). Nous serons hébergés au Riadh Palm à Sousse et nous aimerions savoir si c'est un bon hôtel où les gens sont fiables.

Hi there, I visited the Faroe Islands in late March 2026 for about ten days. I was invited by a friend who lives near Tórshavn, so I don’t have any info on tourist accommodations or car rentals. Still, I’d like to share a few thoughts about my trip: - Before leaving, I consulted travel guides and blogs. I was surprised by how repetitive and unoriginal the featured sites were. This leads hurried travelers to follow the same overcrowded routes, which can annoy locals. I found that all Faroese villages were interesting—they reflect the country’s identity, even without the iconic grass-roofed houses. Those are indeed harmonious and beautiful, but they feel like an exotic cliché. For activities, I loved the lively ports that keep the country running. - I was annoyed by the paid trails in tourist spots. Locals explained that these paths cross private land, and owners are responsible for maintenance and safety. There are plenty of free trails, too—signs at the start detail their features. While not alarmist, the extreme and unpredictable weather is a key factor to consider before setting out. - The wind’s strength really impressed me. The architecture, with doors and windows opening outward to prevent gusts from blowing roofs off, speaks to the harsh climate. Some days, relentless rain and squalls made going outside unappealing. I realized that in this country, it’s best to plan for flexible indoor days. - Distances are relatively short. I was happy to be based near Tórshavn because it was easy to explore one or more places in a day. The roads are in great condition. In late March, diesel was 2 €. Tunnel tolls can add up (~26 € per crossing), making a fixed base less practical than I’d thought. - Everyone agrees: the landscapes are breathtaking. Nature feels untamed here—except for the short grass, thanks to all the woolly sheep. - The flight from Paris to the Faroe Islands (and back) was long in March—11 hours with three legs: Paris-Amsterdam, Amsterdam-Copenhagen, Copenhagen-Vágar. In bad weather, Vágar Airport can close, causing delays. During tourist season, Atlantic Airways offers a direct Paris-Faroe Islands flight, which is more comfortable and cheaper. - I found a book recommendation in a guide that fascinated me after my trip: *Les collectionneurs d'images* by Joanes Nielsen. Through its sometimes caricatured characters, it offers a glimpse into Faroese mentalities from the 1950s to 1970s—attitudes that likely persist today. In conclusion, I’ve traveled a lot and I’m tired of destinations that all start to look the same. The Faroe Islands were a delight—a country stunning in its landscape, climate, and culture, where tourism has barely altered its authenticity.

The 139th edition of this contest is now open, and this month’s theme is: « Metal, Metallic».

From ore to rockets, wire to the Eiffel Tower—or in a pinch, even a self-portrait at the bottom of a spoon—the theme is broad enough that you should be able to come up with at least three ideas pretty easily! Sure, things might get tricky when it’s time to vote, but that could just be a sign of a successful contest, right?! But we’re not there yet.

Contest rules: You can post up to three photos, each in a separate message, clearly indicating their number (1, 2, or 3) along with the location where the photo was taken. Any explanations about your photos are welcome.

You’ll vote for three photos, clearly stating the name of the participant you’ve chosen, followed by the photo number. The first photo in your vote will receive three points, the second two points, and the third one point.

The winner will be the person whose photo earns the most points. In case of a tie, the winner will be the one with the most first-place votes—or, if still tied, the most second-place votes. Finally, if it’s a perfect tie, the winner will be the one who reached their score first. The winner will then have the pleasure of choosing the theme for the April 2026 contest and organizing it. Ties for any position other than first won’t be broken. Lastly, you don’t need to participate in the contest to vote. However, participants (and I hope there’ll be lots of you!) are strongly encouraged to vote!

We’ve only been to Crete in Greece before, so this trip is new to us—but planning the itinerary isn’t easy because we have to make choices. We’d love to hear from those in the know about the following plan: Day 1: flight to Athens, then flight to Milos 3 days in Milos, 4 days in Sifnos, 3 days in Paros, Final 3 days in Athens. Should we book ferry tickets between the islands in March in advance, or can we wait until the last minute? Same question for accommodations on these different islands. Hello, I’m 76 years old and travel a lot around the world. I’m planning to go to Oman from March 19 to April 8, 2026. (After that, I’m off to Turkey to meet some friends.) I’m looking for a fellow traveler to share a car rental to explore some off-the-beaten-path spots. I just got back from Cape Verde, and before that, I was in the USA, Japan, Chile, etc. I usually travel solo, and obviously, I meet a lot of people along the way.
