Le climat doit avoir changé car en mai nous nous sommes promenés dans les rues de
San Juan et nous avons trouvé ca très joli et nous n'avons jamais eu de craintes niveau sécurité. Mais c'était l'après midi..le soir, c'est peut-être différent.
En décembre, nous retournons à
San Juan mais de soir cette fois-ci et comme on a un enfant, y'a aucune excursion vraiment intéressante pour lui alors on va rester dans la bateau.
Carnival offre des excursions de soir qui sont les suivantes :
Bacardi Evening Experience (3.75 heures, 65$ par personne)
Experience the spirit and spirits of Bacardi, the largest rum factory in the world.
On this excursion you will:
- Board a ferry for a short ride across the harbor.
- Take a shuttle bus to the Bacardi Rum Factory, an approximate 15 minute drive.
- At the Bacardi Factory, you will enjoy a visit to the Rum Museum where you will learn about the age-old processing of this fine Rum and its family history.
- Have the opportunity to enjoy the aromas of the different kind of Rums & see the replica of the first distillery built in Cuba 1862.
- After the tour, you will enjoy two complimentary drinks and the Bacardi gift shop.
- On your return make a stop for photos at the Capitol & San Cristobel Fort.
- Have an optional drop off in Old San Juan or return directly to your ship.
Note: Guest will not go in the Bacardi Rum Factory, but to the Rum Museum.

Bioluminescence Bay Kayak Tour (5.5 heures, 79$ par personne)
Bioluminescence Bay is one of the few places in the world considered to be a wonder of nature.
On this excursion you will:
- Take a 1-½ hour trip to Fajardo, as your guides provide a narrative of your surroundings.
- Paddle across the mangrove channels of "Las Cabezas de San Juan" natural reserve.
- Pass the Fajardo Light House under the enchanting blanket of the night sky.
- Marvel at the water, rich in bioluminescent organisms.
Notes: Life jackets and refreshments will be provided.
Please note that there is a weight restriction of 400 lbs. (combined, 2 persons per kayak) and the minimum age requirement is 8 years old. Pregnant women are not permitted on this excursion.
Guests are discouraged from bringing non-waterproof cameras or any other items that they wish not to get wet. Don’t forget your swimsuit & towel.
Juan Carlos & His Flamenco Rumba (2 heures, 49$ par personne)

Night Horseback Riding (5 heures, 89$ par personne)
Ride on horseback through the foothills of the rainforest, where only the stars in the sky and some friendly local fireflies light well-groomed trails.
On this guided excursion you will:
- Take an approximate one-hour drive from San Juan to a local ranch in the rainforest.
- Be introduced to your horse and participate in a short orientation.
- Leave the ranch along trails that lead along the foothills of the rainforest.
- Ride as trail dogs keep the horses on track and the guides keep you and your fellow riders spaced.
- Appreciate the tranquility and peacefulness of nighttime of the rainforest, you will not be lead into the rainforest itself.
- Stop by a campfire to roast marshmallows, have a cold drink and learn a little bit about the area from your guides.
- Re-mount and head back to the ranch for the return trip to San Juan.
Note: Weather in the rainforest is unpredictable therefore a light jacket is recommended, insect repellant, sturdy closed toed shoes and long pants are also recommended.
Pregnant women are not permitted on this excursion. Minimum age for participation is 10 years. Maximum weight limit is 250 lbs.
Guests cannot take pictures during the ride, only when they make the stop at the campfire and at the end of the excursion beside the horses.
Old San Juan Sunset Walking Tour (1.50 heures, 29$ par personne)
You'll find a new appreciation for the old world charm of
San Juan in this walking tour at sunset.
On this excursion you will:
- Take a short bus ride from the pier to San Felipe Del Morro Castle.
- Begin your guided walking tour through the Ballaja Sector and San Jose Square.
- See the amazing architecture of San Jose Church and its surroundings.
- Continue down the cobblestoned Cristos Street to La Rogativa Monument.
- Walk through San Juan Gate and Princesa Boulevard.
- Enjoy some shopping or walk directly back to your ship at the end of your walking tour.
Note: Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
San Juan Night Life Tour (2 heures, 25$ par personne)
Discover why
Puerto Rico is known as "The Shining Star of the Caribbean" as you ride through the capitol of
Puerto Rico.
On this excursion you will:
- Drive through the Old City on quaint cobblestone streets dating back to the 16th century filled with history and old world charm.
- Pass by and view landmarks like the San Cristobal Fortress built in 1634, the Capitol Building built in 1923 and the San Francisco Chapel.
- Get a feel for the city and take a stroll or enjoy shopping time in the Old San Juan area, and then back to your ship.
Note: As this excursion operates in the evening, visibility can be limited. The only stores open on this excursion will be Carnival’s recommended stores.
