Où apprendre le parapente en Asie du Sud-Est: Thaïlande ou Malaisie?

Bonjour.

Je suis en asie du sud est jusqu'au 28/09 (je reparts depuis kuala lumpur) et je souhaiterais passer 10/15 jours a apprendre et pratiquer le parapente.

Qui a des infos sur la pratique de cette activite en malaisie, voir en thailande ???

J'ai trouve 2-3 pistes en malaisie, mais les programmes, les lieux ainsi que les tarifs des cours proposes varient...Je ne sais pas quoi faire...

Si une ame charitable pouvait m'aiguiller, ce serais cool.

a ma connaissance il y a des clubs de parapente en Thailande ( chercher "paraglide ou "paragliding " sur google) mais de ce que je sais de recherches similaires il y a un an ou 2 , pas d'écoles donnant des cours et puis il y a le facteur "saison" il y a eu des tentatives apparemment avortées d'ouvrir le club aux non-membres ( et apparemmen qui se sont mal terminées !) d'autant que pour trouver en Thailande, une assurance qui couvre ce type d'activité , et avec des niveaux de couverture "européens" je crois qu'il faut chercher longtemps

Voici la reponse que j'avais eue de la part de http://www.extremesportscafe.com Je me renseignais justement sur la possibilite d'apprendre le parapente en Thailande et en Malaisie, mais ils ne m'avaient pas repondu sur la Malaisie (parce que je crois qu'ils ne font pas de cours la-bas en fait...) La reponse date de juin 2008 donc elle est un peu datee. Mais apparemment toutes les infos sont dispo sur leur site.

Our partner Paragliding school is based in Rayong which is roughly 30mins from Pattaya, which in turn is roughly 2hrs from Bangkok. All the beginner Paragliding courses are run in Rayong.

Courses in Rayong run between 5th - 14th and 19th - 29th of each month.

Next available Course dates: 5th -14th June/July 2008 . 20th - 29th June/July 2008.

Class sizes can be from 1 student or 2 with max of 3.

For the course training you will have a full day, from 10 am - 6 pm each day.

The best months for flying in Thailand are from October to May although just because its rainy season doesn't mean that it rains all of the time.

Rainy (South West Monsoon) Season - mid May to mid October Winter (Northeast Monsoon) Season - mid October to mid February Summer (Pre-monsoon) season - mid February to mid May We offer a great 8-Day Full Certified Paragliding course for only 28,000THB This is our most popular package for the serious pilot and combines both the Para 1 and Para 2 packages. You will learn to inflate, kite, run, launch fly and land the paraglider wing yourself. You will also learn how to layout your wing, do a preflight check, be at ease with both forward and reverse launches, learn to control your wing through turns, mild turbulence and much more….. This course is intended to teach you how to be a safe and confident pilot and gets you to your first solo flight.. After successful completion of the course you will be rated as a Novice pilot.

The Full Paragliding course price includes accommodation (in a room at the instructors house), use of equipment , manual, log book and transportation to/from the flying site. Hotel accommodation can also be arranged but is not included and would have to be paid for by you.

If students do not manage to finish the course in the recommend 8 days (weather permitting) and still wish to continue training there will be an extra per day charge of 2,000THB added to complete the course.

The Para1 course is an Introduction course and is only 4-5 days. After successful completion of this course you will be able to fly only under the supervision of an instructor. If people are unsure or short on time then they opt for this shorter course.

Para1: Beginner Pilot - Student can only fly under instructor supervision and instructor radio contact. Para 2: Novice Pilot - Student is now considered a full-fledged pilot and can fly solo at most sites nationally.

If you would like to have a world wild recognized cert then you would have to apply to be a member of Sport Flying Association Thailand - SFAT and then apply to be F.A.I. sport member $180USD extra.

If you decide to buy your own equipment you would get a 10% discount on equipment purchased through the center.

Equipment Sales: We can also offer equipment sales at the center.

Standard equipment cost 125,000 thai bath. Wing + Harness + Emergency parachute.

Salut, Il y a eu deja plusieurs posts sur le sujet dont CELUI-LA mais regardes cette liste de Recherche sur la Thaïlande pour plus d'infos. Ancien parapentiste moi-même je m'étais intéressé au sujet 😉
