Je suis en train de me préparer (eh oui, ce n'est pas rien de quitter travail, appart, tout quoi....) pour aller 1 an en Bolivie ou Mexique, dans le cadre d'un programme de bénévolat (tout est à ma charge bien sûr). Je voudrais connaître les expériences des uns et des autres qui ont vecus dans ces deux pays ou qui comptent y aller. Je vais y être à partir du mois d'août 2004 pendant 1 an, d'abord il faut que je décide dans quel pays. Voulez-vous m'y aider ?
Bonjour, je ne serai que trop te conseiller d aller vivre au Mexique, c est fabuleux, j y ai vecu un peu moins d un an, a Puebla plus exactement. Si tu veux des infos, car il y a beaucoup a dire, contacte moi par mail.
Entre Mexique et Bolivie pour moi le choix est fait, bien que la Bolivie soit aussi agreable a vivre. Cependant le niveau de vie, et donc le cout de la vie, est bien moins eleve en Bolivie. Ceci dit a choisir un pays Andin au cout de vie peu eleve, le Perou est ideal ( plus que la Bolivie mais c est un gout personel).

Mon projet avance, vraisemblablement cela va être le Mexique, car j'imagine que pendant un an je vais avoir envie de visiter des musées, des expos, aller au cinéma, aller à la mer aussi. Je connais beaucoup moins la culture bolivienne, ses artistes, ses écrivains, donc j'ai jetté mon dévolu sur le Mexique (mais pas par défaut). Où as-tu passé ton année dans ce pays ? Moi, ce sera Yucatan ou Chiapas (pour y faire du bénévolat) et puis de temps à autre de longs we ou quelques semaines de découverte du pays.
Tu me dis que c'est fabuleux, bien ça m'encourage, d'autant plus que je dois m'engager d'ici quelques jours (après une présentations exacte du projet)

Mexico, pour y vivre, ne m'intéresse pas, j'ai plus envie de me trouver dans une petite/moyenne ville et puis la capitale, de la visiter quand possible. Bon avant toute chose je vis au Perou depuis maintenant plus d un an (bien que je sois rentre en france deux mois pour regulariser mes inscriptions a la fac) et je vais y passer encore un an. Je suis ici pour realiser mon doctorat en archeologie prehispanique.
Au Mexique j ai vecu a Puebla a 2h del DF, joile ville coloniale tres paisible ou tu peux trouver facilement du boulot en tant que prof de Francais pour peu que tu es au moins une licence (peu importe la matiere). Ceci dit tu peux aussi enseigner le francais sans aucun diplome.
Ton choix d aller soit dans le Chiapas soit dans le Yucatan est une bonne idee car se sont deux tres belles regions et qui plus est dans les deux on y trouve de nombreuses plages, soit caraibes soit Pacifique ( petit conseil cote Pacifique va voir un peu du cote de Playa Escondido ou de Mazunte). Ceci dit le Michoacan est splendide, et si tu as le temps passe a Real de Quatorze.
Une autre ville tres agreable a vivre est Guanajato. Il y a beaucoup d autres endroits extraordinaires dans ce pays mais je dois t avouer que je ne connais pas trop le nord mais plutot le centre nord et le sud.
Niveau culturel tu as bien raison de choisir le Mexique car c est beaucoup plus vivant que la Bolivie ou le Perou. Ne serait ce que pour les cines ou les theatres, ou meme la musique. Quand tu arriveras al DF (Mexico city), je te conseille d aller a l hotel Zamorra, qui se trouve dans une petite rue perpendiculaire a l avenida 5 de Mayo, a quellques dizaines de metres du zocalo, la place centrale de Mexico, une des plus grandes du monde. Tu verras sur cette place s affronte la culture Azteque (avec le Templo Mayor), le christianisme (avec la cathedrale de la virgen de Guadalupe) et l epoque coloniale (avec la palais du gouverneur horne des fresques de Diego Riviera retracant l histoire du Mexique). Voila j aurais encore beaucoup a dire maisce serait te priver des joies de la decouverte.

Je sais pas si tu te souviens, mais on a déjà discuté ensemùble au sujet de l'Inde. Je me sui rendue en Bolivie 6 mois pour y faire du bénévolat. Au départ, j'avais aussi le choix entre le Mexique et la Bolivie. Etant un pays inconnu (pour moi), encore fort peu touristique, fort traditionel, j'ai décidé de me rendre en Bolivie. Mais je ne le regrette absolument pas. C'est un pays époustoufflant!!! Durant mles 6 mois, j'ai eu l'occasion de faire -+ le tour: de l'amazonie au plateau andin, en passant par la région du salar... J'allais passer un week end à gauche et à droite... Il y a toujours qqch à faire: des musés, des manifestations culturelles, des fêtes, des régions à découvrir... On ne s'y ennuie pas!!!
Bien sur, je ne connais pas le Mexique. Maius j'ai dû faire ce choix la aussi et je ne le regrette pas du tout!

Je te conseille vivement de venir à Oaxaca, charmante ville du sud du Mexique, à taille humaine, où le climat est très tempéré et où les gens sont souriants...

Pour ma part c'est là bas que j'ai décidé d'aller, dans le cadre d'une année sabbatique, et je ne le regrette pas.
