Si quelqu'un l a fait en voiture ou moto, merci de me donner des tuyaux pour la l'itineraire et les problémes existants.

Moi c'était pendant la guerre en Yougoslavie, donc via la Grèce.... entrée à Melnik, puis toutes les montagnes, Rila, Rodhopes.... Très intéressant.
Pas de problème particulier.

J'ai eu l'occasion d'aller en Bulgarie dasn le cadre de mon travail.
C'était très sympa. Les habitants sont assez fiers, assez "patriotes"...
Si vous voyagez en moto ou en voiture, soyez prudents car il y a beaucoup de vols de véhicule (source douane bulgare) . Assurez-vous de trouver des parkings gardés. un collègue qui revient de Roumanie m'a dit la même chose.
Il y a beaucoup de contrôles de police sur les routes. Il y a aussi pas mal de prostituées sur les aires d'arrêt (pour les camioneurs) et de tziganes. beaucoup de tziganes circulent sur les routes avec des carioles tirées par des ânes ou des mulets (même les plus larges) donc il faut faire attention.
Les aires ne sont pas mal aménagées et bénéficient souvent de cafés avec terrasses.
J'ai eu l'occasion de visiter SOFIA sous le soleil. C'est une capitale assez calme. Il y a de jolies terrasses en été près du théatre. L'opéra donne de jolies représentations aussi. Il est un peu excentré, dans une petite rue et près d'une statue colossale de style soviétique.
J'ai eu la chance d'être à SOFIA le samedi soir et dimanche matin. A chaque fois que j'entrais dans une église il y avait une cérémonie !
A Sofia il ne faut pas hésiter à entrer dans les églises, même quand il y a une cérémonie. Un étranger est toujours le bienvenu. Les cérémonies orthodoxes sont magnifiques!! (longues mais magnifiques).
J'ai eu la chance de vois des mariages (c'est très beau), un baptême. Les messes sont accompagnées de chorales formidables !
L'office à la cathédrale est spectaculaire. Vous y verrez les popes en grande tenue qui innondent d'encens les badauds.
pendant que vous êtes à la cathédrale, allez flaner dans le petit marché qui est juste devant. Dans la semaine il y a peu d'étals mais le dimanche matin il y a beaucoup plus de monde . On y trouve de belles icônes pour pas très cher (bien moins cher que dans les monastères ou les boutiques), des poupées russes, des objets ou t-shirt russes détournés. Attention il y a là beaucoup d'objets prohibés que vous ne pourrez pas ramener en France : les objets portant les marques tristement célèbre du IIe reich (la Bulgarie était alliée...), des contrefaçons de montres (Il est interdit de ramener des contrefaçons sous peine de forte ammendes...non seulement cela nuit à l'industrie européenne, mais en plus vous allimentez des circuits mafieux), et l'on vous proposera ertainement du caviar à la fraicheur incertaine, donc prudence!
Ne manquez pas la relève de la garde devant le palais présidentiel : On se croirait dans un Tintin et le sceptre d'Ottokar !...
Le quartier de la mosquée est également très sympa, belles terrasses!
Mon seul regret à Sofia : n'avoir pu diner dans un petit restaurant bulgare bourré de monde (avec jolie terrasse). Je ne me souviens plus du nom, c'etait dans une rue perpendiculaire à l'artère principale.
Ah oui, grande difficulté en Bulgarie : L'alphabet cyrilique : A la différence de la Grèce, els pancartes ne sont pas traduites en anglais, d'où l'impossibilité de lire le nom des rues par exemple. Un conseil, baladez vous avec des photos (prises sur un guide, internet ou des cartes postales) ou un plan, il y aura toujours une bonne âme pour vous ramener et si vous voulez voyager en taxis, mieux vaut monter également car les chauffeurs ne parlent presque pas anglais.
Pour le change : allez dans les banques plutôt que dans les petits bureaux florissants à chaque coin de rue. Si vous êtes à Sofia et que les banques sont fermées n'hésitez pas à aller changer à l'hoyel Sheraton, il est en plein centre près de la statue de Sofia.
Les taxis ne sont pas chers du tout (tout comme les restaurants).
J'ai aussi eu l'occasion de traverser le pays pour aller à Roussé dans le nord. C'est une ville du bord du Danube qui n'est pss touristique mais néanmoins agréable. Elle fait face à la Roumanie. Au centre il y a pas mal d'édifices baroques. Comme pour toutes les villes bulgares ou roumaines, sorti du centre, c'est la zone, non pas que cela soit dangereux, mais il n'y a plus d'netretien des immeubles et espaces verts. Le principal attrait de Roussé est féminin : le shopping ! C'est en effet la ville des ateliers textiles donc des magasins d'usine. Il y a un quartier qui en est bourré et ce n'est vraiment pas cher du tout ! A recommander : l'hotel Anna Palace : Pour un prix très raisonnable offrez vous une suite avec vue sur le Danube !!L'hotellerie en Bulgarie c'est comme les restos : quand on regarde l'addition on se demande s'ils n'ont rien oublié !!
Aux alentours de Roussé il y a pas mal de petits monastères nichés dans les montagnes. j'ai également eu l'occasion de visiter le monastère de Rila, au sud de Sofia : s'il y a un monastère à voir en Roumanie c'est cela là! Il y a beaucoup de touristes. Il faisait un temps magnifique et les paysages alentours sont très beaux (petit restau au bord de l'eau dans la vallée qui mène au monastère !...hum !)

Un guide de conversation je ne sais pas, mais pour ce qui est de lire le cyrilique, c'est facile ; et au moins le Bulgare est une langue dans laquelle tout se prononce, donc pas de difficultés comme en Français....
Les voyages en Bulgarie datent, genre 96 et 97 je crois bien, peut-être même avant ; je n'ai pas la mémoire de ces choses-là...
J'ai cessé de voyager en moto lorsque j'ai trouvé que c'était plus une entrave qu'une liberté, et que les motos ont cessé d'être fiables et réparables ; si je devais retourner en Bulgarie, je crois que louerais une voiture...

2006 - 1997 La Bulgarie doit avoir bien changé.
J'ai installé le Bulgare sur l'ordi mais impossible de lire le moindre mot.
Voir l'image jointe. Le seul mot sans problème est "chocolat".
Je cherche la prononciation des lettres cyrilliques? et je recherche
également des petits enregistrement afin de me faire comprendre.

Tu as tout a fait raison.
Le seul mot juste est Chien dans les 3 colonnes.
Bref lire le cyrillique et le parler est très compliqué. (ps pas doué pour les langues)

Malheureusement mon voyage ne dure pas plus de 3/4 semaines.
3 à 4 jours pour aller (idem pour le retour) en camping-car vitesse maxi +/- 100 km/heure
5 villes x 3 jours et le reste on verra.

j'habite bordeaux et souhaiterais savoir si cela vaut le coup de partir en bulgarie pour acheter un cyclomoteur neuf 50 cm3 en éffet en france il n'y a plus que peugeot qui commercialise sont 103 vogue en seulement 2 ver sion dont la moin chère étant a 899 euros!!!!!!!!!! je trouve cela abusif car il y a encore 4 ans ont pouvez avoir un cyclo neuf a moin de 700 euros !!!!!!!! donc vu que ce n'est plus le cas j'aurais voulu connaitre des marques de cyclomoteurs bulgare je connais une jeune bulgare qui travaille avec moi et qui m'a dit qu'en bulgarie ce n'est pas chère du tout? pourriez vous me dire l'ordre de prix de l'un d'eux en général toutes marques confondues?! quelqu'un aurais t'il la gentillesse de me dire si mon projet est viable ? comment doije m'y prendre pour ramener un cyclomoteur bulgare en france? le montant des taxes a payer a la frontière? existe t'il des sites internet ou je pourrais trouver ce genres d'information?

I just realized I’ve been registered on VoyageForum since... March 28, 2012 😊. Yet, I’ve barely participated until now.
August 1, 2026, will mark a somewhat special milestone: 5 years on the road.
We left Switzerland on August 1, 2021 with a simple idea: let chance decide our direction. We placed a bottle of wine on a world map, spun it... and it chose our first destination.
A year later, when we arrived in Morocco, we faced a new choice: continue toward Africa or head to Asia. This time, a tarot card game made the decision. Since then, we’ve tried to keep this journey as open to the unexpected as possible.
Today, that adds up to about 120,000 km, 46 countries, and over 1,800 days on the road—mostly by motorcycle, but also by sailboat, train, bus, hitchhiking, or on foot when adventure calls.
Our guiding thread isn’t just the motorcycle, but service exchanges. Instead of simply passing through countries, we try to stop regularly to lend a hand to the people we meet. So far, that’s about 600 days of volunteering.
Over the years, we’ve:
renovated a house in Croatia made earth bricks in the Moroccan desert helped sail a boat through the Greek islands looked after houses, dogs, horses, a camel... and lots of other animals worked at a street art festival in Morocco created videos for local associations and projects worked the grape harvest on the Tibetan plateau been accredited as "media" for the World Nomad Games in Central Asia

I just realized I’ve been registered on VoyageForum since... March 28, 2012 😊. Yet, I’ve barely participated until now.
August 1, 2026, will mark a somewhat special milestone: 5 years on the road.
We left Switzerland on August 1, 2021 with a simple idea: let chance decide our direction. We placed a bottle of wine on a world map, spun it... and it chose our first destination.
A year later, when we arrived in Morocco, we faced a new choice: continue toward Africa or head to Asia. This time, a tarot card game made the decision. Since then, we’ve tried to keep this journey as open to the unexpected as possible.
Today, that adds up to about 120,000 km, 46 countries, and over 1,800 days on the road—mostly by motorcycle, but also by sailboat, train, bus, hitchhiking, or on foot when adventure calls.
Our guiding thread isn’t just the motorcycle, but service exchanges. Instead of simply passing through countries, we try to stop regularly to lend a hand to the people we meet. So far, that’s about 600 days of volunteering.
Over the years, we’ve:
renovated a house in Croatia made earth bricks in the Moroccan desert helped sail a boat through the Greek islands looked after houses, dogs, horses, a camel... and lots of other animals worked at a street art festival in Morocco created videos for local associations and projects worked the grape harvest on the Tibetan plateau been accredited as "media" for the World Nomad Games in Central Asia

Along the way, we’ll visit Cappadocia, the capitals Yerevan, Tbilisi, Sofia, Skopje, and other cities—we can finalize the route and roadbook later.
This trip requires experience with long motorcycle journeys, as we’ll cover around 7,000 km over 5 or 6 weeks (or more, depending on sightseeing and time spent).
I don’t expect dozens of applicants, since motorcycle riders are few and far between on this forum, but I’m putting this out there anyway.

Hi, I’d like to take a 15-day "break" to get away from the surrounding hustle and bustle.
Why not explore the Peloponnese!
I’m not particularly drawn to museums, ruins, or monuments.
I want to experience local life—small villages, seaside spots, beaches, and the interior if the landscapes are extraordinary.
Ideally, coming from Athens, I’d take a bus or train to get as close as possible to a starting point, then rent a scooter (125cc) to explore by taking secondary roads or even coastal paths. I’d stay in 2-3 places for a few days each to discover their surroundings.

What do you think would be the ideal itinerary?
From Athens, the best option would be to take either a flight or a bus to Kalamata. Rent a scooter and head either west or east. Is there a tertiary road (very lightly trafficked) or a path where I can ride slowly, take it easy, and enjoy the scenery without being bothered by traffic? I’d like to go all the way to Monemvasia, still hugging the coast. I need to find a way to avoid returning to Kalamata to drop off the scooter and catch a flight—maybe a small town where the train stops so I can head back to Athens.

I’m looking for info on shipping my vehicle by sea—possibly to Uruguay or another destination, as I haven’t finalized anything yet.
How do you get visas for the countries I’ll be crossing: Uruguay, Argentina, Bolivia, Peru, and Chile? Are they e-Visas, obtained at the border, or through embassies?
Where can I get vehicle insurance?

I’ve got 15 days off in June and I’m pretty undecided about where to go for a motorcycle road trip. Two strong desires are pulling me in different directions: Corsica or Norway.
Corsica has been a dream of mine for a long time: legendary roads, stunning landscapes, a unique vibe, and the perfect mix of sea and mountains. At the same time, I’m wondering if 2 weeks might be *too much* for Corsica—risking feeling like I’ve seen it all too quickly, especially on a bike. Since I also have an extra week free in May, I could use that specifically for Corsica. Maybe splitting it into two trips would make more sense? If so, which routes or regions would be the most interesting to plan for a 7-day trip?
On the other hand, Norway is *super* appealing. The landscapes look incredible, totally different from anything I’ve experienced, and it’d be a real “wow” trip. I know 15 days is still short for such a vast country. Getting all the way to the North Cape seems pretty much impossible in that time, but I’m curious about what realistic routes could be planned.
So I’m wondering: Is it better to save Norway for next year, take 3 weeks off, and do it *properly*? Or are 15 days enough for a first amazing taste of the country?

Hello! We’re planning a motorcycle trip that will include a visit to Auschwitz-Birkenau in June 2026.
We’re unsure (still debating) whether we should stay at a hotel on-site and get to the memorial with an Uber (leaving our bikes at the hotel) and book a guided tour, or base ourselves in Kraków and take a tour that includes transport.
One thing’s for sure—we’d prefer a guide in French since we don’t speak English 😅.

Next October we’re planning to ride the Ruta de la Plata by motorcycle—a historic Spanish route that runs from Gijón to Seville, also known as the N630.
Has anyone here already ridden it?
Unfortunately, I’m worried that parts of the N630 may have disappeared or merged with the A66 motorway, forcing us to ride long stretches of highway, which we’d rather avoid.
