Hey bien pour travailler dans la Vallée de l'Okanagan, c'est très accessible. Dans les villes principales telles que Kelowna, Oliver, Osoyoos et plusieurs autres, il y a des centres Francophone d'emploi. Tu peux y sortir des listes de Orchard qui cherchent des gens. Où, encore, tu te promenes, rencontre des orchard et va de toi même demander pour de l'emploi. C'est très simple! Tu as besoin de ton matériel de camping et la volonté de travailler, et voilà, le tour est jouer! Si tu as besoin de plus d'information, n'hésite pas à me récrire, j'y suis allé l'an dernier et j'y retourne dans moins de trois semaines!

Je suis dans l'Okanagan comme je dis dans un autre sujet de conversation... qui se trouve a etre pas mal le meme! Il y a de tout ici pour fruits/legumes, tu peut ramasser des pommes, peches, cerises, prunes(mes preferees), tomates(beaucoup), piments et quelques autres qui me vienne pas en tete! Durant tout l'ete il y des fruits et legumes a ramasser un peu partout, le best ca sera toujours d'aller dans les centres-d'emploi et voir ce qui est offert. Mais certains Orchards ne feront pas d'annonce et prendront ceux qui viennent les voir en personne... alors une voiture c'est TRES bien, mais c'est aussi relativement facile de trouver des places libres dans des voitures de pickeurs.
Pour ce qui est des echelles et bien comme je disais il y a pas de probleme a trouver un travail qui en demande pas. Certains orchards ne font que de petits arbres et d'autre de tres gros arbres, alors c'est possible de choisir. Sinon tu peut toujours faire un deal avec quelqu'un, toi tu ramasse ce qui se fait a partir du sol et l'autre se sert de l'echelle pour ramasser le haut, ca vas vite donc c'est dure de refuser un tel deal.
Salair moyen je dirais 11-12 de l'heure, sans se donner corp et ame bien sur. Oliver est une bonne ville pour tout ca, c'est petit donc tout est relativement proche. Ici avec un velo c'est super! Il y a beaucoup de picking a faire et il y a LooseBay... pour ceux qui connaisse:) Terrain de camping plutot rudimentaire, mais 4$ la nuit ou 2$ si tu paye d'avance. Vraiment pas chere!! Presque remplie de francophone, tu trouve des endroits pour aller travailler aussi facilement que dans un centre d'emploi... meme plus!
Avoir un kit de camping c'est sans aucun doute LA meilleur option, mais sac de couchage pas trop chaud... c'est le desert en dehors des orchards!

Je me demandais aussi si ça craignait ou pas pour une fille seule avec sa tente dans les campings ou n'importe ou dans les fermes?
Et une question bête mais qui me tracasse un peu : Pendant que tu bosses, tu laisses où ton sac à dos et toutes tes affaires importantes? Parce que dans une tente c'est pas très sécure non?...

J'ai encore une question qui me tracasse. Je suis française donc pour aller travailler là-bas j'aurais besoin d'un permis de travail temporaire. je suis allée me renseigner sur le site du service de l'immigration du gouvernement canadien et ils disent -entre autre- que l'ont doit fournir les coordonnées de notre employeurs, que c'est d'ailleurs à lui d'envoyer certains papiers et tout... Mais comment fait-on pour pour ce genre de job ?? alors que je ne saurais que sur place ce que sera véritablement mon job, où il sera...etc!
Pff comme si c'était pas déja assez compliqué comme ça, toute cette paperasse!
Donc si un non-canadien ayant déja fait l'expérience passe par là, je veux bien qu'il m'aide!!

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
