j'adore voyager, j'ai une passion toute particulière pour le Canada que j'ai découvert à l'âge de 16 ans, en passant 1 mois en juillet chez ma tante et mes cousins qui sont des résidants permanents depuis très longtemps...
Depuis (et même avant cela) je rêve de m'installer là bas...😛
Mais moi qui n'aime pas trop les villes, je préférerai m'installer dans un endroit calme, au cadre féerique (lac et forêt bordé de montagnes comme sur les cartes postales lol)😊
Je sais que le climat est très rude en hiver...
Je suis dans le tourisme depuis 5 ans (je suis responsable de mes gîtes et chambres d'hôtes (capacité 30 pers)) et je souhaiterai créer ou reprendre une sorte de village de gîtes en ossature bois, en bordure d'un lac ou de la mer, soit dans l'ontario, la colombie britanique ou au québec...
Je ne veux pas faire de village vacances, plutôt qq chose d'accès sur la nature : sport écologique (sans moteur si je peux l'éviter), découverte de la faune et de la flore ect... et une activité équestre (et oui j'adore les chevaux lol) avec élevage + centre équestre. 🙂
Mon compagnon, lui a toujours connu la culture entre autre de pomme de terre.. il travaille actuellement chez mc cain, et il est possible qu'il serai intéressé pour reprendre une ferme (il a fait un stage 6 mois au Canada et à adoré ça !)
je voudrai prendre mon courage à deux main pour lui en parler, car il ne connaît pas encore ce rêve, je ne sais pas si il est faisable ! c dur car il nous faudrait vendre le patrimoine familiale (la /les ferme(s) de nos parents), quitter famille et amis...🤪
On va retourner au Canada en novembre...pour 8 à 10 jours...

Connaissez vous ces régions, quelles sont leurs caractéristiques ?
Québec: outre le fait que ca soit francophone, il y a de très belles régions comme l'Estrie ou encore les Laurentides. Il y a également quelque chose de romantiques au Québec que je n'ai pas trouvé en Ontario par exemple. Peut-être que le Québec a son influence française qui la rend plus raffinée d'après moi.
Ontario: la province offre de magnifiques forêts. C'est très sauvage. On se sent en pleine nature et c'est relaxe. Les taxes sont probablement plus basses qu'au Québec (à vérifier) et les ontariens ont un pouvoir d'achât supérieur au québécois et ils sont également davantages prêts à payer.
CB: c'est une très belle province qui offre des paysages magnifiques. Les rocheuses canadiennes sont d'après moi les plus belles, comparées aux rocheuses américaines. La province attire grand nombre d'américains à l'année longue. L'économie de la CB semble renaître également. Quelque chose de magique en CB.
D'autres provinces que je peux te recommander:
Nouvelle-Écosse, L'île Prince Edouard et l'Alberta.
Alberta: province qui est en plein boom économique et qui offre de magnifiques paysages avec les rocheuses. Question mer ou lacs, ce n'est peut être pas l'idéal par contre. Les taxes sont sans doutes les plus basses au pays. Pour les chevaux, c'est le paradis. C'est Cowboys' Land
île Prince Edouard: ils ont comme un micro-climat et ont la mer autour. Relié au reste du pays par un pont de 13KM, ils ont de magnifiques vues. Je crois que McCain est installé là aussi pour les pommes de terre.
Nouvelle-Écosse: quelque chose de raffiné dans cette province et ils ont la mer aussi. C'est calme et beau.
J'espère que cela va t'aider. Si tu as d'autres questions, n'hésites pas.
Le climat n'est plus si rude que ça avec le réchauffement de la planète.
Si tu choisis le Québec, le climat est moins froid sur la rive sud du St-Laurent que le rive-nord. Et il a beaucoup moins de neige à Montréal qu'à Québec par exemple. L'hiver dernier dès fin janvier/ début février la neige se faisait rare sur la rive sud dans les environs de Montréal. Et les moins 20 degrés sont assez rare en hiver. Par contre, cela est différent si tu choisis une région plus au nord comme le Sagnenay - Lac St-Jean. Un bel endroit au Québec est la Gaspésie. (montagneux, boisé et tu as le fleuve / golf St-Laurent.)
Je ne connais pas trop le climat de l'Ontario, mais cela doit être en partie comparable à celui du Québec. Sauf que la partie plus au sud est évidemment plus chaude. (peu de neige à Toronto)
Pour la Colombie-Britannique, cela dépend évidemment d'où tu demeures. Les montagnes, c'est les montagnes! Mais, à Vancouver, il ne fait pas plus froid là qu'à Paris. Donc, pas très rude comme hiver. 😉
Où aller? Si le français est important le Québec est probablement le meilleur choix. Le Nouveau-Brunswick peut également être intéressant. (C'est joli avec la côte et la baie Fundy.) Pour les montagnes, le plus beau ce trouve en Alberta et en Colombie-Britannique. Pour la nature, les lacs et forêts... l'Ontario ou le Québec peuvent te plaire.
Pour répondre à travlbeyond oui les taxes sont moins élevé en Ontario qu'au Québec. (Et l'Alberta encore moins vu qu'ils n'ont que la taxe fédérale). C'est le Québec qui est la province la plus taxée... Mais, probable que la vie y est moins cher qu'en Ontario. Et dans l'Ouest (Alberta et Colombie-Britannique) c'est encore plus cher.
La plus jolie de tes 3 choix? La Colombie-Britannique avec ces Rocheuses c'est difficile à battre. Mais, il a des beaux coins également au Québec. Mais, aucun sommet pouvant rivaliser avec ceux des Rocheuses.

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).

Actually, I’m currently doing a postgraduate diploma in pediatric respiratory physiotherapy and want to specialize in that area.
