c'est superbe, sauvage et j'ai trouvé le paysage très différent d'un endroit à un autre.
on a fait beaucoup de visite, village typique, plage superbe sable noir ou blanc.
on a eu chaud avec meme une pointe à 32 degrés à l'ombre gràce au vent chaud la calima venu du sahara!
c'est vraiment superbe et je vous le conseille si vous chercher du dépaysement!
j'ai hate d'y retourner, c'est vraiment un très gros coup de coeur!!!

Nous avons rechercher des hotels sympa à Fuerteventura, comme Elba Carlota 4 * et le barcelo Thalasso spa 4*, seulement sur certains forum du net, ils sont à déconseiller car trop d'avions. Ou avez vous séjourné ?😉
Nous sommes parti avec thalasso N°1 par le biais de voyage auchan.
Nous avons séjourné au Barcelo Jandia Mar, rien à dire à conseiller vivement, c'est très beau et thalasso N°1 je conseille aussi.

j'ai passé 7 ans de ma vie à fuerteventura et j'ai 17 ans....je vous conseille d'aller dans le nord, à corralejo c le meilleur endroit...le sud est très beau aussi, mais c bcp trop touristique et pas trop convivial. ....corralejo au nord c vraiment la meillleur ville de fuerteventura, c la ville qui bouge le plus, bonnes boites de nuits, avec une grosse communauté surf(je suis un surfer), avec une vielle ville magnifique, un parc naturel avec des dunes magnifiques...globalement c une ville fun avec un mélange typique canarien...pour moi il y'a pas mieux à FTV...

Je vais aux canaries fin mai. Je recherche une ile où on peut surfer mais pas seulement puisqu'on aime beaucoup faire des randos (volcan...). J'avais pensé à Lanzarotte mais en te lisant, je me rends compte qu'on peut surfer à Fuerteventura. En restant objectif, quel ile me conseilles-tu? On peut faire les deux en une semaine?

Je pars dimanche prochain, je viens d'acheter mes billets pour Fuerteventura, je vais avec ma fille (14 ans) et j'aimerai savoir ce que vous conseillez, le nord ou le sud, je me suis aussi dit puisqu'apparemment ce n'est pas une période trop difficile pour trouver des hôtels, nous pourrions aller 3 jours au nord, 3 jours au sud et peut-être le dernier jour au milieu pas trop loin de la ville et de l'aéroport. Votre avis. Je n'arrive pas à me rendre compte des distances du Nord au sud. Et si conseil pour hôtel de charme avec petite piscine, je suis preneuse. A savoir que l'on préfère les plages moins agitées, puisque nous ne faisons ni surf, ni planche à voile, mais peut-être est-ce difficile à trouver. Et l'eau de la mer, pas trop froide.
lanzarote est une tres belle iles, elle est tres volcanique(genre pierre de lave a perte de vue...) avec de tres bonnes vagues, mais le paysage n'est pas tres varié... moi je préfère fuerteventura...c'est une iles au paysages variés...c comme une mini australie, avec des superbe vagues au nord et des plages qui s'étires sur plus de 30 klm au sud....
comme vous voulez visitez les 2 iles je vous conseille de prendre un hotel au nord à corralejo...qui est une ville très fun mais sans perde sont côté tipique canarien(c'est la meilleur ville de l'ile)....ainsi vous pourez profitez des meilleur spots de l'ile...et vous pourrez prende le ferry pour lanzarote(pas très cher)....
mais objectivement je te dirais ke faire les 2 iles en une semaine c'est tendu, car tu ne pourra pas vraiment profitez de chaque iles...je vous conseille donc de n'en faire q'une...sinom vous allez passez votre temps en voitures😕
moi je vous conseille Fuerteventura l'iles est plus grande, plus sauvages et moins dévelloper que lanzarote...vous allez vraiment vous sentir au bout du monde en visitant l'iles...

Nous rentrons ce samedi 13 mars d'un séjour d'une semaine à FTV, à l'hotel ELBA CARLOTA et voici donc nos commentaires. Nous avons apprécié de trouver des avis avant le départ donc, voici notre avis au retour...
Déjà FTV hormis les infrastructures hotelières ne présente pas d'interet touristique ou culturel majeurs.
Pour le Surf et le farniente par contre, quel bonheur!
Les plages de sable fin du SE et du NE de l'ile (bcp plus ventées...) sont paradisiaques et il est courrant, dès lors que l'on s'écarte un peu des stations balnéaires de se retrouver seuls sur une plage superbe aux eaux claires.
A ce sujet, il existe de nombreuses pistes praticables SEULEMENT avec des véhicules de type 4x4 et nous conseillons de privilégier la location de ce type de véhicule afin de tirer profit des 'perles cachées' de FTV. le réseau routier est de très bonne qualité et les gendarmes et les radars ne manquent pas... ATTENTION!
L'arrivée et les transferts depuis l'aéroport sont rapides car quasi tous les hotels sont sur la facade EST de l'ile, le réseau routier y est particulièrement soigné.
Nous avons voyagé avec FRAM et malgré un retard de 2h (du fait d'un mégaphone manquant dans l'avion de EUROP-AIRPOST) au départ de Brest, le voyage s'est parfaitement déroulé.
Météo plus qu'agréable, en moyenne 25° pendant notre séjour permettant de ramener un 'bronzage' à faire palir d'envie tous les 'visages pales' restés en Bretagne.
Concernant l'ELBA CARLOTA, rien à dire, hotel de TRES BON NIVEAU.
Point NEGATIFS : 😠
- manque d'animation en soirée, peu de musique, pour les gens qui aiment être couchés à 23h, c'est une excellente adresse. pour les autres, l'hotel est à 10min à pieds de EL CASTILLO ou de nombreux bars et animations nocturnes permettent de 'sortir du calme' de l'hotel. ATTENTION... ENORMEMENT D ANGLAIS ET D ALLEMANDS!!! Comme souvent aux canaries
L'equipe d'animation 2010 venait de se mettre en place et 'patatait' un peu à son démarrage -ce qui est normal- mais Tom, un chti- le chef d'animation et Eva, une Espagnole branchée sur 380 volts ne manqueront pas de donner de l'interet à cet hotel pour la saison 2010. BON COURAGE A EUX!!
- le Français n'est que TRES PEU parlé à l'hotel.
- La formule ALL INCLUSIVE se termine à 23h le soir
- L'hotel se situe sur l'axe d'approche de l'aéroport de FTV (à 10kms) et les avions passent à faible altitude à l'applomb de la piscine ce qui 'gène' quelque peu le repos mais bon... Il y à pire comme 'trouble' -L'aéroport de FTV ferme la nuit donc on peut malgré tout, dormir tranquille!! mais l'aéroport va doubler sa capacité d'accueil, cela risque de ne pas durer...- 🤪
- La plage devant l'hotel est très agréable pour se baigner mais elle est publique et donc les transats sont payants (6€ la journée)
- Il n'y a pas d'eau douce sur l'ile, toute l'eau est donc de l'eau de mer désalinisée ce qui occasionne quelques odeurs à la sortie des tuyauteries vu que l'eau sert en fait 3 fois dans cet hotel , une première fois dans les lavabos et la douche, après traitement, une seconde fois dans les toilettes et enfin, après nouveau traitement, pour arroser les golfs et les jardins. Evitez donc d'en boire. 😏
POINTS POSITIFS : 🙂
- L'hotel se situe un peu à l'écart de EL CASTILLO, on n'a pas la sensation d'être 'En ville' même si le complexe regroupe 4 hotels et un centre commercial, cela est très agréable de se promener à pieds sur la promenade -que nous avons baptisé "promenades des allemands"- devant l'hotel le long de l'océan.
- proximité immédiate du golf de FTV aux greens aussi verts que l'ile est arride et désertique. Cela contraste!
- La restauration est de bonne tenue même si un peu répétitive et le personnel globalement assez souriant et disponible.
- Superbe piscine avec SPA pour l'une d'elle.
- Chambres spacieuses et très agréables réparties autour d'une végation luxuriante et tropicale
- Bon équipement général.
- Proximité immédiate d'un centre commercial avec GS alimentaire et de nombreuses boutiques et restaus dont les traditionnels US : Macdo, Burgerking pour les 'fans' et d'une station essence (rares sur l'ile).
- FTV n'est pas encore aussi 'bétonée' que Las palmas, Ténérife mais ça ne durera surement pas à en juger par le nombre de grues qui parsément le litoral.
Bref, excellent séjour à FTV et à l'ELBA CARLOTA qui malgré un manque d'animation surement dû au fait que la saison n'était pas encore complètement lancée nous a ravi, on avait le blues en partant...
Nous conseillons donc cette destination et cet hotel via Fram au départ de Brest sur la compagnie EUROP AIRPOST.

Lorsque nous sommes parties en février, nous avons fait 3 jours à l'hotel R2 bahia playa, que ceux qui adorent l'agitation des équipes d'animation passent leur route, que ceux qui aiment les hôtels design avec magnifiques chambres et super spa et l'accès à 15 mns en voiture de magnifiques plages de sable fin désertes s'y arrêtent. Parfait pour nous. Hotel isolé devant une plage de sable noir et d'un petit village, sans grand charme mais sympa quand même. 3 jours ce fut suffisant avec la voiture à mon avis impératif pour circuler. Après une nuit en hôtel rural, era de la Corte. Les environs n'ont rien d'étonnant à part la route qui y mène et à Betancuria à 15 mns en voiture. Mais, le petit déjeuner pris en grande conversation avec des gens du coin (lui est ingénieur spécialisé dans le système hydro) est un must et un repos, loin de l'horreur des grands hôtels du sud avec les braillements en allemand de moniteurs en tous genres. Après 3 jours à Corralejo, là pas besoin de pension tout inclus, la petite ville regorge de délicieux petits restos pas chers et très bons, loin de la cuisine d'abattage que j'ai pu apercevoir dans l'hôtel où nous sommes restés avec seulement le petit déjeuner.
Toutes les réservations ont été faites directement depuis le site des hôtels au même prix que sur les sites types expedia avec l'avantage de pouvoir faire des demandes, de type chambre en étage supérieur…
A Corralejo, j'ai vu pas mal de maison à louer sur la plage qui avaient l'air sympa. Je ne sais pas ce que sont les fincas.
nous avions choisi hébergement hôtelier , je ne sais plus le nom de l'hôtel. ma fille cadette avait 7 mois, mon mari voulait avoir une réservation avant d'arriver pour ne pas galérer avec les enfants , ne serait ce qu'en cas de retard de vol... j'ai vu des appart à louer cependant un peu partout dans les stations balnéaires. par contre pas beaucoup d'autochtones, ce sont surtout des loueurs du continent , Espagne notamment, donc sont là pour faire du business, tu paies le prix indiqué ou tu passes ton chemin nous en avons fait l'expérience avec les loueurs de voiture !!! pas de marché local typique non plus seulement des contrefaçons. je cherchais des tomates pour faire un pique nique, tu penses que j'en ai trouvé 🤪😛

We’re planning a short trip at the end of July to explore the legendary mountains and valleys of the Bernese Oberland: round trip from Nancy (Swiss highway vignette planned), 2 nights in a room with a small kitchen in Adelboden, then 2 nights in a hotel at the Gletscherblick in Grindelwald, both with half-board included.
Could you share some tips on the best road routes to take, as well as some walking hikes (we’re not as fit as we used to be, so nothing longer than 2-3 hours)? Maybe also 1 or 2 cable car rides—I was thinking of Oeschinensee Lake above Kandersteg and the First gondola above Grindelwald for better panoramic views of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau... all while keeping it doable with our schedule. We’ve ruled out the "premium" trip up to the Jungfraujoch for this time.

I visited the Faroe Islands in late March 2026 for about ten days. I was invited by a friend who lives near Tórshavn, so I don’t have any info on tourist accommodations or car rentals. Still, I’d like to share a few thoughts about my trip:
- Before leaving, I consulted travel guides and blogs. I was surprised by how repetitive and unoriginal the featured sites were. This leads hurried travelers to follow the same overcrowded routes, which can annoy locals. I found that all Faroese villages were interesting—they reflect the country’s identity, even without the iconic grass-roofed houses. Those are indeed harmonious and beautiful, but they feel like an exotic cliché. For activities, I loved the lively ports that keep the country running.
- I was annoyed by the paid trails in tourist spots. Locals explained that these paths cross private land, and owners are responsible for maintenance and safety. There are plenty of free trails, too—signs at the start detail their features. While not alarmist, the extreme and unpredictable weather is a key factor to consider before setting out.
- The wind’s strength really impressed me. The architecture, with doors and windows opening outward to prevent gusts from blowing roofs off, speaks to the harsh climate. Some days, relentless rain and squalls made going outside unappealing. I realized that in this country, it’s best to plan for flexible indoor days.
- Distances are relatively short. I was happy to be based near Tórshavn because it was easy to explore one or more places in a day. The roads are in great condition. In late March, diesel was 2 €. Tunnel tolls can add up (~26 € per crossing), making a fixed base less practical than I’d thought.
- Everyone agrees: the landscapes are breathtaking. Nature feels untamed here—except for the short grass, thanks to all the woolly sheep.
- The flight from Paris to the Faroe Islands (and back) was long in March—11 hours with three legs: Paris-Amsterdam, Amsterdam-Copenhagen, Copenhagen-Vágar. In bad weather, Vágar Airport can close, causing delays. During tourist season, Atlantic Airways offers a direct Paris-Faroe Islands flight, which is more comfortable and cheaper.
- I found a book recommendation in a guide that fascinated me after my trip: *Les collectionneurs d'images* by Joanes Nielsen. Through its sometimes caricatured characters, it offers a glimpse into Faroese mentalities from the 1950s to 1970s—attitudes that likely persist today.
In conclusion, I’ve traveled a lot and I’m tired of destinations that all start to look the same. The Faroe Islands were a delight—a country stunning in its landscape, climate, and culture, where tourism has barely altered its authenticity.

We’re heading to Bavaria from May 13 to 23, with a side trip to Austria.
Here’s our itinerary:
Day 1: Brussels-Munich
Day 2: Munich
Day 3: Munich and departure for Salzburg
We’ll be staying three nights in Salzburg.
Then we’ll head to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, where we’ll stay for five nights.
Visiting Munich and Salzburg isn’t too tricky.
Once in Garmisch, we’re planning a day in Innsbruck, a day for Neuschwanstein Castle, and the rest is still up in the air.
What’s really got me stumped is that we’d love to see Königssee Lake—everyone says it’s a must-see.
We’d also like to visit the Eagle’s Nest (Kehlsteinhaus), where the landscapes are supposedly stunning.
This would either be a round trip while we’re in Salzburg or on the way between Salzburg and Garmisch, but I’m guessing it’s impossible to do the drive from Salzburg to Garmisch, the Eagle’s Nest, *and* Königssee Lake all in one day.
Plus, the Alpine route between Salzburg and Garmisch seems prettier than the highway.
But honestly, I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed with the planning.
We should’ve added a stop between Salzburg and Garmisch, but the hotels are already booked.

We’re planning a trip to Finland and Norway this summer, starting in Oulu to explore Lapland, heading up to the North Cape, and then making our way down to Bergen.
This route means renting a car in Finland and dropping it off in Norway. My initial searches are showing rental rates that are... astronomical—about three times the price compared to returning it at the starting point.
I’m guessing I’m not the only one wanting to visit both countries. Are there any great tips to drastically reduce the cost of renting a car?

I’m sharing my draft itinerary with you because I just booked our flight tickets, and I feel like it’s quite late in the season. So, I’d like to be sure about my stops before reserving the hotels. I’ll be traveling alone with my two adult children. We want to prioritize outdoor walks, avoid too many indoor visits (both for budget and preference), and not spend too much time on the road.
D1: Arrival at 9 AM in Malaga, day in Malaga and overnight stay
D2: Head straight to Nerja (1-hour drive) and spend the night there
D3: Head straight to Granada (1.5-hour drive), spend the day and night there
D4: Granada. Visit the Alhambra (Nasrid Palaces tour at 5 PM) and spend the night
D5: Head to Ronda (2.5-hour drive) and spend the night
D6: White Villages and overnight in Ronda
D7: Head straight to the Costa del Sol (e.g., Estepona), spend the day and night there
D8: Return to Malaga to catch our flight
There you go! This itinerary takes into account that we’d like to do a circuit starting from Seville in a few years. That said, it’d be a shame to miss something doable from Malaga.
Questions:
Since the Alhambra visit is only at 5 PM, and we’d already have the day to explore Granada, would arriving the day before be a mistake? Or should we skip this day and dedicate it elsewhere (Costa del Sol? Head toward Tabernas?)? The old town appeals to me, but maybe the Sacromonte neighborhood isn’t essential...
Same question for Ronda: should we dedicate a full day to it, or combine Ronda and the White Villages in one day?
Note that we love wandering around villages outside, so that might answer my question! :)
Final question: Is it better to rent the car at Malaga Airport or in the city? If we rent at the airport, we’d need a hotel with parking, which doesn’t seem easy. Or stay outside the city and park for free near the center if possible? I’ve read comments about taking a taxi to Malaga and then picking up the rental car at the airport the next morning. The taxi would really need to be affordable...
