Et non, nous n'avons jamais voyagé aux Philippines... Nous connaissons bien l'Asie mais pas les Philippines! Nous avons choisi cette destination car mon "mari" est commandant au long cours et travaille régulièrement avec des Philippins. Il a donc commencé à s'intéresser à ce pays.. Nous avons ensuite réfléchi sur les régimes politiques et économiques des différents pays d'Asie et nous sommes arrivés à la conclusion que les Philippines était stable. Je vais accoucher fin décembre d'une petite fille, c'était donc important également de se renseigner sur les différentes conditions sanitaires, éducation, ... Là encore il semble que les Philippines répondent à nos exigences (je dois encore bien vérifier pour le paludisme!)
Notre idée serait d'ouvrir un petit hôtel de charme, max 20 chambres, répondant aux critères européens. Je crois savoir qu'il n'y pas bcp de touristes européens aux Philippines (principalement Chinois, japonais et coréens) mais peut-être qu'il y aurait une ouverture à se faire avec les tours operateurs européens.. (on doit encore bosser là-dessus). En annexe de notre hôtel, nous avons également comme objectif d'ouvrir un centre de plongée (notre meilleur ami est plongeur professionnel) car les PHilippines sont réputées pour sa plongée.
Pour l'instant nous hésitons entre : Puerto Galera, Cebu, Panglao ou Dumaguete.

Yannick a raison pour Panglao, je dirais la même chose de Puerto Galera.
Je pense donc que le mieux serait de faire un premier voyage d'exploration dans les Visayas, au départ de Cebu.
Vous trouverez alors le coin adéquats et qui vous branchera.

exact mais des hotels existent deja sur caramoan mais c'est vrai que c'est encore un peu sauvage , mais si les gens veulent s'en donner la peine ca peut etre gagnant dans les prochaines annees
car dumaguete ou boracay , ils attendent plus oersonne ils ont tous ce qui faut , mais il y a tant de coins possible !!!
Le problème de Caramoan c'est le climat, c'est une des raisons pour lesquelles ça se développe tout doucement. La 'bonne' saison est très courte comparée au Visayas ou à Palawan.

Je suis installe a Pagadian city sur l ile de MIndanao depuis environ 3 ans.J y ai construit ma maison et un restaurant function hall avec chambres.je suis marie a une filipina et nous avons une petite fille.
S installer demande sans doute une premiere approche pour trouver l endroit qui vous plaira.Ensuite, il faut savoir qu un etranger ne peut pas acheter de terrain facilement.Monter une entreprise reste possible.Il faudra cependant demander un permanent residency si vous souhaitez rester. Rien d impossible en fait, mais rien de simple non plus car il faut avoir un peu d experience pour ne pas se retrouver dans une situation critique.Je connais bon nombre de foreigners qui n ont pas assez pris de temps et ont perdu leur capital.L idee de base etant de ne pas vouloir revolutionner la mentalite philippine mais de s integrer.
