Hi there, we’re heading to Vietnam from February 20th to March 20th. We’ll be traveling from south to north and ending up in the Ha Giang region. Is the period starting March 10th a good time to explore this area? Is it possible to do this loop by motorbike given the weather? Thanks for your tips! Béatrice and Philippe

Hi there, Yes, the period starting from March 10th is perfect for exploring Ha Giang. It’s the beginning of spring: mild temperatures, green landscapes, and generally good visibility. You can definitely do the Ha Giang Loop by motorbike, just be cautious as light showers are still possible.

In short: great season, passable roads, and overall favorable weather. Safe travels and have an amazing trip! !

Hi Annie, First post and already a link to a paid tour? You could’ve waited a bit. Otherwise, the rest of your message is fine.

Hi Chalembert

You could’ve waited a bit longer.

She waited 17 months before posting this first reply—this username must’ve been buried deep in her list. As for Phildr and his first question, that was 9 years ago… maybe the same issue…

Hi Annie, Thanks for your reply—it reassures me a bit about our upcoming trip to Vietnam. I hope to get more responses to my question. Best regards, Philippe

Hi there,

You sent me a private message, but I couldn’t open it—could you repost it publicly? March is starting to be okay, but it’s still chilly in the northern mountains. A light sweater and wool socks are a must!
