Je vis a Tahiti en Polynesie et j'aimerai faire des etudes aux usa (particulierement les sciences; chimie, biochimie, biologie moleculaire etc..)pour esperer travailler ensuite dans le domaine pharmaceutique (en labo, recherche ou dans des sociétés..) mais j'aimerai aussi avoir un revenu. J'ai donc plusieurs petites questions:
1) Est-ce que si je fais un associate degree (ou bachelor degree) je peux cumuler des cours (en gros faire 2 années en 1 pour gagner du temps)?
2)Et est ce possible de faire un associate degree pour ensuite basculer sur un bachelor ? (est ce que ca revient moins cher? ou non) J'essaye de voir ce qui serait le mieux a faire pour pas perdre trop de temps et d'argent
Sachant qu'il faut attendre 1 an pour travailler en dehors du campus je voulais savoir si il n'y avait pas d'autrs alternatives ?
3) Est il sinon possible, d'obtenir un visa pour travailler (PVT) et ensuite prendre des cours en ligne, a distance via le college?
5)Est ce que avec mon visa F1, et apres un an d'etude je peux faire des stages ou du volontariat en entreprise?
6) Est ce que je peux faire du mannequinat (par exemple) avec un visa F1 la premiere année ? ou dois-je attendre la deuxieme année pour l'opt
7) J'ai fais de la natation en compétition avec un bon niveau mais j'ai arrete il y a quelques années.. Est ce que je peux tout de meme demander une bourse la premiere année avec mes anciens chronos ou je dois renager sans bourse dabord ?

Je n'ai pas toutes les réponses à tes questions mais voilà de quoi t'aider :
1) non tu ne peux pas cumuler pour la simple raison que certains cours demandent des prerequisites. Tu ne pourras pas prendre certains cours à moins que tu ait le cours prérequis.
Exemple: tu peux pas prendre math I et math II en même temps, car valider math I est la condition pour prendre math II. Logique ?
2) Oui tu peux avoir un associate puis transférer pour un Bachelor, c'est ce que j'ai fait.
Passer par un community college d'abord revient moins cher que de faire directement 4 ans dans une University pour un Bachelor. Même en faisant Community college + University, le cout est conséquent.
3) En tant qu'étudiant international, tu ne pourras travailler que sur le campus pour un maximum de 20 heures par semaine. Tu pourras également opter pour l'OPT qui te permet d'acquérir de l'expérience professionnelle en dehors du campus pendant 1 an.
5) Oui tu peux faire un stage, toujours dans les règles de ton visa F1, avec l'accord de ton école.
6) Non pas de mannequinat rémuneré puisque tu ne peux que travailler sur le campus. L'OPT est disponible après un an d'étude.
7) Pour avoir une bourse en tant que sportif, tu dois contacter l'école qui t'intéresse et leur demander les conditions pour avoir une bourse, s'ils en ont, si elles sont disponibles pour les internationaux.

Et si j'ai bien compris en fait je fais deux ans en associate et ensuite je bascule 2ans en bachelor a l'université c'est bien ca?
Ah oui j'aimerai aussi savoir comment traduire les notes du bac ?
Faut il simplement que je traduise moi meme avec un logiciel ou je dois demander a l'école ??
Et comment prouver que mon bank statement est bon? Si c'est sur le compte de ma mère c'est bon ou je dois avoir mon propre compte en banque avec la somme ?
Certificate et associate sont differents. Le certificate ne permet pas de transferer pour un Bachelor. Certificate, c'est le plus petit diplôme post bac. Je ne crois pas qu'il y ai un équivalent français. L'associate selon ton domaine d'étude peut correspondre à un BTS ou plus.
Les notes du bac doivent être évaluées par un organisme reconnu par ta future école. Contacte les et demande leur la liste de ces organismes.
Pour les relevés de compte, ils peuvent être au nom de tes parents.

Quelle est la meilleure assurance rapport qualité prix? Est ce que c’est mieux d’en prenfre une assurance en France qui permet aux expat d’être couverts? Ou bien en prendre une là-bas ?
Est ce que si j’ouvre un compte ee banque j’ai de des avantages (ex: carte golf premier..) ou bien si les universités qui coûtent si cher enveloppe déjà des assurances ?

Pour l'assurance pour les US, je ne sais pas trop laquelle te conseiller.
Par contre méfie toi de l'assurance de la gold quand tu restes vivre dans le pays. Il me semble qu'elle est limitée dans le temps et que si tu passes plus de 6 mois dans le pays l'assurance ne te couvre plus (à vérifier dans les conditions 😉)
Il y a plusieurs assurances santé tel que April, c’est celle de j’avais pris. Néanmoins je te recommande de toutes les comparer afin d’être le mieux assuré. La sante coute très très chère au Etats unis. Généralement les universités ou les college américains proposent des assurances mais elles sont super chères et couvre moins bien. Demande à l’école que tu veux intégrer car des fois tu n’as pas le choix que de souscrire à leur assurance. Mon college nous laissait l’option d’avoir la nôtre.
Comme dit précédemment, méfie-toi des assurances santé avec les banques. Généralement c’est pour des périodes de temps assez courts.
Les questions basiques cruciales:
1° quel est ton budget/an?
2° quelle est ta moyenne actuelle?
3° as-tu fait des tests diagnostique de SAT/ACT ou TOEFL?
4° serais-tu prête à faire une année césure pour préparer ton dossier?
5° natation: tu ne peux être recrutée que si tu fais partie d'un club ou d'une équipe et que tu as des chronos d'ici juin (période du recrutement). Les chronos anciens ne servent à rien. Si tu peux t'y remettre c'est le moment :)

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
