Bonjour, je m'appelle Julien, j'ai 14 ans et je vais rentrer en seconde. Je sais qu'il est peux être un peu tôt pour y penser, mais j'ai depuis quelques années l'envie de faire mes études supérieures aux Etats Unis, dans l'idée d'y vivre. Il me parait logique qu'il est plus simple de trouver un emploi avec un diplôme directement américains. J'ai fais des tonnes de recherches qui m'ont un peu aider sur les démarches, cependant j'ai quelques questions:
En cherchant les visa, j'ai vu plusieurs visa pour les étudiants, le J1, pour les échanges (mais je ne veux pas faire d'échange), et le F1, pour faire les études complete là bas. Sauf que pour obtenir le F1 (et le J1 peux être, je ne me suis pas penché dessus), j'ai vu que il fallait en gros dire que on compte revenir chez nous après les études. Sauf que j'aimerai vivre aux USA, pas rentrer chez moi après avoir eu un diplome. Y'a-t-il un visa spécial pour ça ? Ou bien on peux rentrer chez nous quelques mois, histoire de trouver un employeur là bas, et essayer de prétendre à la carte verte ? Est-ce que le fait d'avoir étudier et d'avoir eu ce visa F1 (où donc en gros on veux pas qu'on revienne pour vivre et voler le travail des américains lol) peux être un facteur de non éligibilité à un visa de travail/carte verte ?
Les étudiants étrangers doivent payer les frais d'admissions Nonresidents ou residents ? (Dans le cas où on veux vivre sur le campus)
Quels sont les bourses que l'on peux obtenir ? Ou bien un prêt banquaire couvrant la totalité des frais d'études ?

Moi je m'appelle Anne-Laure et j'ai 16 ans. Et jvais rentrer en 1èreES. Comme toi, jvoudrais partir étudier, et puis vivre après en Amérique, surtout au Canada, oui au Wisconsin. Mais jarrive pas a trouver de documentation. Jai chercher sur le ministère de l'éducation, mais bon c'est que pour aller en Europe, et moi sa m'intéresse pas.
Donc voila j'sais pas trop comment faire enft, pi fodrais que je me dépèche kan mm pcq le BAC l'année prochaine ^^
Pour la documentation c'est pas trop compliqué, tu tape étudier aux usa sur google t'a pleins de sites sur le sujet qui explique un peu tout ce qu'on doit faire. Après dans le wisconsin faut que tu vois si y'a des universités qui te plaisent, aller sur le site des universités pour voir un peu les frais d'admissions et de logement. C'est souvent très cher (Compte environ 20 000$ les frais d'admission et environ 10 000 ou 15 000$ pour le logement et la nourriture).
Voila pour le reste je te conseille de regarder les sites sur google et les sites des université (http://www.wisc.edu/ celle là par exemple)
Je viens d'obtenir mon J-1 ce matin, je pars mardi à Pensacola en Floride pr 18 mois.
Un conseil: peut importe tes intentions, si on te le demande, dis toujours que tu as l'intention de rentrer dans ton pays. Si tu dis le contraire, tu risques de te voir refuser un visa. L'essentiel c'est déjà de partir ensuite, on ne sait pas ce que nous réserve l'avenir...😉
Peut importe où tu résideras, sur ou hors campus, tu auras le statut de nonrésident, ce statut n'est pas déterminé par ton lieu d'habitation par rapport au campus, je connais des personnes qui sont là bas depuis 3 ans, et qui payent tjs les frais en tant que non résidents !

Je m'appelle Deborah, je suis française. Je suis mariée et j'ai 2 enfants. Je suis psychologue clinicienne spécialisée en psychotraumatologie et je poursuis en parallèle des études de médecine.
Depuis quelque temps, je réfléchis sérieusement à un projet d'expatriation aux États-Unis. Mon objectif serait, à terme, d'exercer la médecine aux USA, avec un intérêt particulier pour la médecine légale (Forensic Pathology). Je sais que le parcours est exigeant (USMLE, résidence, fellowship, etc.), mais je suis prête à m'investir sur plusieurs années.
Pour le moment, je cherche surtout à construire ce projet intelligemment. Je souhaite améliorer mon anglais, mieux comprendre le système américain et échanger avec des personnes qui sont déjà passées par ce parcours ou qui vivent aux États-Unis.
J'aurais plusieurs questions :
- Y a-t-il ici des médecins ou des étudiants internationaux qui ont réussi à intégrer une résidence aux États-Unis ?
- À quel moment avez-vous commencé à préparer le USMLE ?
- Quels conseils donneriez-vous à quelqu'un qui est encore en études de médecine ?
- Quels États recommanderiez-vous pour une future carrière en médecine légale, avec une bonne qualité de vie et de bonnes écoles pour les enfants ?
- Est-il préférable de faire un observership ou un stage de recherche avant de candidater à une résidence ?
- Quels sont, selon vous, les pièges à éviter lorsqu'on prépare un tel projet ?

Our departure time is getting closer (we have less than 2 years left—it’s both a long time and so short!). To start preparing seriously, we’ll need quite a bit of info. If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).

Hi, I’m a self-employed physiotherapist in France, and as my wife (a nurse) and I look into working abroad in about two years, I’ve been offered an equivalence to become a respiratory physiotherapist in Switzerland. Actually, I’m currently doing a postgraduate diploma in pediatric respiratory physiotherapy and want to specialize in that area. Anyway, that’s not the main point—could anyone explain the pros and cons of doing this job in Switzerland? Based on the paperwork I’ve received, the equivalence seems purely administrative or almost... What about working conditions, quality of life, salaries, etc.?
