Hi everyone.

I’m heading to Quebec and New Brunswick this summer and got a Revolut Classic card for the trip. I’ve already exchanged some Canadian dollars in the app so I’ll have a reserve ready for my departure day. My question is whether I’ll incur any additional fees when using my Canadian dollar account. I think I’m limited to 200 € in ATM withdrawals for my part. Thanks!

Hi there,

With Revolut (basic account), you're limited to the equivalent of 200 € in ATM withdrawals (per rolling month), but you usually have to add a commission (I think it's 3%) for the bank's service fees. These are the only fees I "see", apart from occasional extra payment fees of 3% when you pay by card (especially in Asia).

Best regards.

I’m a bit late to the party, sorry... You’ve already gotten answers about ATM withdrawals.

For card purchases: In Canada (a while back), just like in the US (more recently) or Japan (very recently!), I’ve never been charged fees when using my Revolut card with an account in the local currency.

If you’re traveling as a couple, it might be worth each of you having a card—the shipping fees for sending the card are minimal.

Thanks, that’s what I thought.
