Nous recherchons à améliorer notre anglais et vivre une nouvelle expérience en Angleterre.
Le départ est prévu pour début avril.
Ce que nous voulons c'est:
- améliorer notre anglais grâce à des cours de langue sur place
- trouver un job : runner, plonge, service, etc
- rencontrer des gens
- decouvrir la culture anglaise et profiter pleinement de la vie à l'anglaise!
Nous Souhaitons y rester env. 6 mois.
Ce qu il faut savoir c'est que nousa disposons d'un faible budget..
Alors avec ces indications Pouvez vous nous conseiller une ville ?? Nous aimerions avoir des informations sur la facilité à trouver un petit job et également sur le coût de la vie.
Si certaines personnes ont un vécu en Angleterre et souhaitent le partager ce serait super!!
Une ville à conseiller, ????? Mais LONDRES!!!!!! Vous allez kiffer c'est énorme !!! boîtes de nuits, music halls, cabarets, belles voitures, magnifiques, musées, bières, soirées en tous genres ^^ etc.... Je peux vous assurer que vous ne ler regretterez pas et surement que vous souhaiterai vous y nstaller!!

Merci de votre réponse. On pense très fortement à Londre pour tous ces points là en effet. Après le souci c'est que la vie est très chère : loyer et transports :(. Donc on pensait peut-être plus à Birmingham, Manchester... enfin des grandes villes qui seraient toujours moins chères que Londres. Si quelqu'un peut nous faire part de son expérience dans une ville autre que Londres cela serait parfait.

Personnellement, je ne te conseille pas Londres - certes, c'est une ville GENIALE, mais pour 6 mois et avec un petit budget ça va être infernal (notamment loyer et transport comme vous l'avez signalé.. sans oublier que ça va être les JO donc entre mi juin et fin juillet ça va être encore pire que d'habitude question prix).
Donc je te conseillerais plutôt des grandes villes de province voire, puisque vous partez en avril, les villes touristiques y compris plus petites car vous vous y prendrez assez tôt "to beat the crowd" (pour arriver avant la foule des autres postulants, notamment étudiants). Il y a pas mal de discussions sur ce sujet sur le forum, utilisez la fonction recherche vous trouverez plein d'infos et de retours d'expérience.

moi Londres me semble être la pire destination ou aller en Angleterre, trop cher, trop grand... et puis pour améliorer ton anglais, c'est pas le bon plan... 300,000 français vivent dans le grd londres.
Birmingham, je connais pas trop mais j'ai pas eu que des bons échos de cette ville.
Manchester, c'est super, suffisamment grand pour avoir plein de truc a faire, bar boite pub théâtre foot ciné concert etc etc... suffisamment petit pour faire quasiment tout à pied et ne pas perdre un bras a chaque fois que tu payes un loyer... plein d'étudiant aussi ici, donc toujours des trucs à faire...
Liverpool, un peu comme Manchester en plus petit et probablement plus mignon, super réputé pour sa vie nocturne et son accent anglais à couper aux couteaux...
pour trouver du taff, comme partout en angleterre, bcp d'étranger (particulièrement polonais et espagnol) vivent tenter l'aventure ici et cherche des "easyjob" donc ça se fait de trouver mais c'est pas non plus super super facile...
dans tout les cas Manchester et Liverpool sont distantes de 50km, et avec leur deux aéroports, la plupart de l’Europe est deservie en lowcost
as tu pensé à Newcastle, qui semble etre une destination tres sympa...

On pense finalement comme toi pour Londres, on l'a enlevé de notre liste. En effet, beaucoup trop de français et bien trop chère.
Concernant les destinations finalement on pense plutôt à Brighton et Bristol, apparemment ce sont deux villes très sympa. Après on hésite, car on souhaite se diriger vers la ville qui offre plus d'opportunités niveau job.
Connais-tu ces villes par hasard ?

Si vous avez un faible budget déjà vous pouvez oublier Londres.
Après, tout dépend de ce que vous aimez comme genre de villes parce que Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool c'est vraiment de grosses agglomérations en plus assez moches. En moins grand vous avez toutes les villes des Midlands genre Sheffield, Leeds, Nottingham, etc, mais faut aimer (j'y ai passé presque 3 ans) et puis Bristol qui est un peu mieux je trouve (enfin surtout Bath qui est à côté).
Perso, quitte à être en Angleterre, j'aurais plutôt un faible pour Newcastle tout au nord qui est une ville (grande c'est vrai) avec plein d'étudiants, plutôt sympa, pas chère et animée. Et les environs valent le détour avec le Lake District, la côte et l'Ecosse tout à côté. Après c'est sûr qu'au niveau climat et autre c'est le nord.
Malgré tout, plus que l'Angleterre pourquoi n'essayeriez-vous pas l'Ecosse ou le Pays de Galles ? Question culture et population j'ai préféré de très très loin les deux à l'Angleterre. J'y ai trouvé des gens beaucoup plus sympas, ouverts et surtout moins coincés qu'en Angleterre.

Peut être tu connais une ville particulièrement artistique, je m'explique, je veux rentrer dans une école de théâtre ou un conservatoire pour l'année suivante. Si vous avez des notions en se qui concerne les meilleurs plans en Angleterre pour suivre des cours. Mais j'aimerai tout d'abord trouver un travail, durant les JO? ou autre.
Ensuite, je cherche également un logement, quoi choisir entre fille au paire ( temps libre pour travailler, argent de poche?), ou une coloc, un studio?
Je ne possède pas énormément d'apports, donc tout se qui est le moins cher est le bienvenus :)

Les jobs des JO sont attribués depuis longtemps et ça va être la folie à Londres cet été donc je ne te conseille pas.

Trouver un travail ça ne se trouve plus aussi facilement qu'il y a 2 ans, la crise est passée par là, rendue plus grave par certaines mesures du gouvernement Cameron (si tu veux comprendre pourquoi, lis les chroniques de Krugman, prix Nobel d'économie, en français sur le site de la rtbf, en anglais sur le site du New York Times.)
Quand tu parles d'entrer dans une école de théâtre veux-tu dire en France, après un an en GB, ou bien veux-tu dire en GB?
jeune fille au pair = un travail, tu es avec des enfants toute la journée, en échange tu es logée-nourrie et reçois un petit salaire. tu ne peux pas faire d'études en même temps puisque c'est un travail à temps complet. Tu dois passer par une agence ou un organisme ou par un site web agréé (cherche sur le site ici, attention aux arnaques) et tu ne sais pas quand tu seras choisie donc tu ne sais pas quand tu pars.

J'ai vu ton post et je pars également pour l'Angleterre cet été. J'ai d'abord voulu passer par un organisme pour me trouver un job ou un stage, mais je me suis dit que la meilleure solution c'était de se rendre sur place et de chercher. J'ai 19 ans également et je voulais savoir ce que tes recherches ont donné, et comment tu comptes t'y prendre pour trouver un travail (par un organisme ?)
Ensuite pour les logements je te conseille de te loger dans les universités ! L'été ils proposent de louer les chambres étudiantes (individuelles ou doubles) et à côté de ça tu as salle de bain et cuisine commune ce qui te permet de rencontrer des gens et de parler l'anglais !
C'eet vrai que Londres est super mais la vie est très chère.
Cambridge est très sympa, et c'est plein d'étudiants donc ça bouge aussi le soir. Sinon, Bristol qui se trouve coté ouest. Je pense que vous pourrez trouver du travail la bas aussi car c'est touristique, surtout en été. Si vous n'avez pas peur du froid et de la pluie, testez l'Ecosse.
J'ai des cousins à Manchester et ils adorent la ville, elle s'est beaucoup modernisée et attire de nombreux jeunes. Par contre pour les boulots, je ne sais pas comment c'est - surtout avec la crise ... En tout cas, avant de décider, renseigner vous sur le secteur/quartier car dans toutes les grandes villes, il y a des quartiers à éviter. Faites votre recherche en anglais!
