Bonjour à tous, je m'appelle Léon, j'ai 22 ans et je souhaite partir pour le mois d'Octobre à Eastbourne en Angleterre.
Je compte donc rester là bas pour 6 mois minimum afin d'apprendre l'anglais et de changer d'air aussi. Si j'ai choisi cette ville c'est pour la mer et surtout le beau temps mais à part cela je ne connais pas grand chose de plus.
Ce serait sympa que quelqu'un qui connaisse la ville me renseigne un peu à son sujet. J'aimerais savoir entre autres si la vie est aussi cher qu'à Londres ou Brighton par exemple mais aussi si c'est une ville agréable à vivre pour un jeune (j'ai entendu que la population y était assez âgée et ça me fait un peu peur).

les prix seront similaires .. c'est une petite ville cotiere qui vie principalement du tourisme. En comparaison avec Brighton en effet la population est tres agee, c'est un peu le menton de l'angleterre)et ce n'est pas la grosse fete ou meme la fete du tout ... Je ne te repete pas ce que mon mari anglais vient de dire mais bon bref ....Ce serai un sale coup de te conseiller d'y aller si tu a moins de 60 ans😕
Brighton en effet est plus jeunes tres "gay"mais avec aussi un cote glauque avec de nombreux jeunes qui s'y retrouve en detresse parcequ'en essayant de suivre "la mode" ils se retrouvent sans rien et tombe dans des entourloupines..
C'est a toi de peser ce dont tu as envie.
Entre les deux il y a Bournemouth Jolie ville sur la cote moins dingue que Brighton mais avec beaucoup de jeunes une universitee vibrante et plus d'opportunitees.

Je suis déçu en lisant ce que tu me dis concernant Eastbourne, j'aimais bien cette ville (ça avait l'air jolie et agréable à vivre) mais tu confirmes ce que je craignais : une ambiance pas très adaptée pour un jeune.
Sinon pour Bournemouth, c'est la première ville que j'avais repéré mais je me suis tourné vers Eastbourne ensuite car le temps avait l'air d'y être meilleur. Bref avec ce que tu m'as dit je crois que je vais me tourner vers Bournemouth finalement car Brighton ne me dit rien du tout. Au final, le choix est assez limité pour un jeune qui veut passer une année sur la cote sud de l'angleterre (Plymouth, Bournemouth et Brighton).
Une dernière chose, je compte faire 3-4 mois dans une école d'anglais afin de bien me familiariser avec la langue, aurais-tu des bonnes écoles à me conseiller ?
Bon choix je ne pense pas que tu regrettera. Desole de ne pas pouvoir t'aider pour les ecoles de langues mais en faisant une recherche sur google tu devrai trouver facilement. A voir egalement si il y a des cours gratuits pour jeunes etranger avec l'universite ou college ( mais souvent c'est pour un niveau relativement bas) si tu as des difficultees a faire un choix dans ce que tu trouves copy les adresses des websites qui t'interessent et j'essayerai de me renseigner pour toi.

Je m'appelle Lou, je suis belge et j'ai 20 ans. Je vis actuellement à Bournemouth depuis 2 mois et j'y reste encore 3 semaines. Je suis également ici pour apprendre l'anglais. Alors pour te parler de la ville, je ne crois pas que tu regretterais de venir ici. C'est une petite ville super mignonne avec pas mal de rue piétonne, un super beau parc et une très grande et très belle plage sur laquelle tu peux camper ou faire des feux. Il y a beaucoup de jeunes, puisqu'il y a une université, dont beaucoup d'étrangers car il y a beaucoup d'école de langues. Tu rencontreras des gens de partout de le monde (beaucoup d'asiatiques, de sud américains, ...) tous aussi gentils les uns que les autres. Une expérience unique à ce niveau là. C'est une petite ville donc tu croises des gens que tu connais un peu tout le temps.
Il y a pas mal de boite de nuit (dont par exemple une dans un église, ça vaut le coup d'y aller juste pour vois l'endroit) et tout le monde est toujours très motivé pour faire la fête! Toutes les boites sont ouvertes presque tous les jours. Il y a également de très chouettes bars.
A propos de l'école, moi je suis a ETC school, une école en plein centre de Bournemouth, et je vis en résidence juste à côté de l'école (vraiment pratique) mais tu peux également vivre en famille d'accueil. Je suis parti avec l'organisme LANGUESVIVANTES. Le moins cher que j'ai trouvé après de longues recherches sur ce forum, et franchement, ils sont corrects. Par contre je crois que c'est un organisme belge (mais pas sûr) donc renseigne toi. En tout cas il y a des français dans mon école donc tu dois pouvoir trouver. Les cours sont bien (sauf l'après-midi, trop de francophone, je ne te le conseille pas).
A propos du temps, Il n'a pas fait très beau ces derniers temps, mais maintenant les beaux jours commencent à arriver et c'est vraiment agréable.

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
