Il y a de ça deux ans je suis parti à Leeds afin d'y trouver un boulot pour pouvoir y vivre le temps d'apprendre l'anglais et plus si je m'y plaisais car j'adore l'Angleterre, je voulais à tout prix tenter ma chance dans une ville à taille humaine, éviter les français de Londres, ses loyers exorbitants et le cout des transport en commun c'est pour cela que mon choix c'est porté sur Leeds, malheureusement après y avoir séjourné 1 mois, ce que mes économies ont pu me permettre, je n'ai pas trouvé de travail, peut être qu'en cette saison il y en avait pas (février/mars) et certainement à cause de mon anglais qui est (toujours) quasi inexistant et aussi à mon expérience professionnelle très légère car je ne connais que le BTP et aujourd'hui la restauration rapide dans un Mcdo en plus de mes études, mais pas une journée ne passe, même deux ans plus tard, sans que je pense à cette tentative d'expatriation qui n'a pas totalement échoué car aujourd'hui je ne souhaite qu'une chose c'est d'y retourné, cette fois ci partir dès début juillet après mes études
Je n'aurai pas suffisamment d'argent et j'ai trop peur de reprendre le risque de chercher du travail sur place c'est pour ça que j'ai besoin de conseil pour trouver un job depuis la France, quels sont les organismes et associations qui sont susceptible de m'aider ? Les sites (je connais bien gumtree)? A savoir que je ne parle pas du tout l'anglais, comment aborder le sujet avec mon futur employeur car c'est un lourd handicape surtout en visant une ville de province ou le marché de l'emploi n'est pas aussi attractif qu'à Londres...

Desolee mais pour les petits boulots les jobs ne se trouvent pas a distance il faut etre sur place, et si tu ne parle pas anglais la il y a probleme...avec de nombreux jeunes anglais chassant les meme petits boulots.
En attendant que les choses s'arrange economiquement en angleterre pourquoi ne pas prendre ton mal en patience et travailler en France ameliorer ton anglais et ton cv.

tu confirme mes craintes....j'avais déjà tenté ma chance sur place mais ça n'a pas marché, peut être qu'en cherchant un job d'été dès maintenant j'aurai plus de chance, sachant qu'à cette période le marché de l'emploi est plus attractif ? Enfin dans le nord de l'UK j’émets quelque doute ..... concernant mon anglais j'avais déjà suivi une formation intensive de cours d'anglais durant 3 mois avant mon départ mais ce n'est malheureusement pas suffisant et j'avais été prévenu, pour parler anglais il y a qu'une seule solution c'est d'être sur place j'en suis convaincue
j'ai qu'un souhait c'est de partir cette année et le plus tot sera le mieux (cet été) car je vais passer mon bac à la fin de l'année et je ne suis pas certain de ce que je veux faire comme poursuite d'étude, je vais quand même mettre des annonces sur des sites d'emploi qui me seront conseillé sur le net et si on ne me contacte pas je partirais à Londres, Leeds compte trop de risque :-/
tu peux t'améliorer avant de partir, et quasi-gratuitement
- regarde tes séries préférées, en VO sous titrées anglais (pour commencer - après, carrément sans sous titres.) Tu ne comprendras pas tout au début mais assez pour suivre, et petit à petit tu te surprendras de ce que tu comprends! Pour commencer tu peux même te repasser des épisodes que tu as déjà vus en français pour t'aider. mais pas de sous titres français sinon ce ne sera plus du travail de compréhension de l'oral, mais de la lecture en français...
- mets une annonce au cidj de ta ville ou à ta fac "want to speak French? I want to speak English" + ton portable. Tu auras des jeunes anglophones qui t'appelleront. Le système habituel c'est 30mn à discuter en français, 30mn à discuter en anglais.
- pas cher, les cahiers anglais basique (je ne sais plus l'éditeur mais je peux chercher si tu veux les acheter, ça se trouve sur amazon et autres vendeurs en ligne), selon ton niveau tu prends le niveau 6e ou 4e, et tu fais tout le cahier puis le cahier suivant. ça coûte environ 3 euros.
- sur youtube, tape ESL + divers sujets: waiting tables (être serveur de café - serveur = waiter) , job interview, etc. Il y a plein de leçons.
Plutôt que Leeds, pourquoi pas une ville de la côte, voire York qui est nettement plus touristique, ou bien Blackpool et alentours? Pendant l'été ça grouille de touristes donc il y aura plus de petits boulots qu'à Leeds.

York a l'air d'être une très belle ville, Blackpool un peut moins, mais j'ai adoré Leeds car ça reste une grande ville avec beaucoup de jeune et qui bouge plutôt bien, d'autant plus qu'il y a un très beau club de football, et j'ai peur de ne pas retrouver ça à York ou Blackpool, mais si je dois me rétracter sur une autre ville je le ferais
