Hi there, I’m looking for a hiking guide for Quebec (Laurentides, Gaspésie, Saguenay). Do you know any professionals for one or more of these regions? This is for September 2025. Thanks in advance!

Hi SoJB,

I’m not sure if there are any guides specifically for hiking in Quebec.

That said, I can tell you there are Facebook groups where members organize hikes around Montreal, in the Laurentians, and on the South Shore of Montreal.

Check out the group "Les retraités sportifs du Québec." Joining a group costs nothing—you just need to sign up. By the way, the people there are really fit, so don’t let the group’s name fool you! 😁

There’s also the group "Les randonneurs de la rive nord (de Montréal)." It includes the Laurentians and Lanaudière. I don’t see many organized activities there, but you could easily make a request.

If you’re interested and depending on availability, I could organize a trip to Calvaire d'Oka or even Prévost. Feel free to message me privately if that sounds good to you.

Finally, I know there are people who walk in Quebec City—fast-paced hikes with lots of stairs on the Plains of Abraham. You’ve got to be in shape to keep up with them! 😂 (Group: Les retraités sportifs du Québec).

Cheers! 👋
