A priori depuis le 1er fevrier, les demandes de visa pour l'inde sont traité par VFS.
Y en a qui ont pu faire l'expérience?
Cela donne quoi?
Moins d'attendre? plus d'efficacité? le porte feuille plus léger aussi?
Y en a qui ont des infos sur le visa 5 ans / 90 Jours sur place maxi à chaque fois?

Et particulièrement par : tcvoyageur qui a rendu compte ça et là de l'avancement de ses démarches...
j'ai réussi à imprimer le formulaire. Il faut faire attentio à bien envoyer la version PDF, préalablement téléchargée.
Le N° web sert uniquement à éventuellement modifier les renseignements si erreur. On n'a que 10 jours une fois le formulaire enregistré pour envoyer le dossier papier (photocopie identité/4 premières pages passeport/2 photos/formulaire/1 env chrnopass à 18€/passeport+ formulaire) à Paris.
j'envoie mon dossier papier demain en principe. Je vous tiendrai au courant.
Je n'ai pas donné le montant du chèque certifié ou virement postal : 62 € à l'ordre de VF Services U.K. Limited. (VFS prend 12 € sup)🙁
J'ai dû refaire celui obtenu la semaine dernière de 56€
déjà ca ouvre a 8h mais y aller au minimum 1/2 heure avant. ce matin j'ai eu de la chance car il n'y avait pas trop de monde ce qui n'etait pas le cas de la semaine dernière au dire de certains qui attendait avec moi.
Attention il n'existe pas de fil d'attente, certains n'hesistent pas a arriver vers 7h55 et passer devant tout le monde... en se mettant devant la porte au nez et a la barbe de ceux qui ont appris a faire la queue et a se mettre derriere la derniere personne arrivé... mais c'est sympa il faisait froid ce matin donc une toute petite bousculade pour se rechauffer... lol après c'est un systeme type sécu (chacun son ticket!!!) mais ca va vite...
ensuite prevoir de l'especes, oubliez la cb... (en panne regulierement), y a un distrib H bip C pas loin visiblement.
sur place possibilité de faire des photocopies et photo d'ID. le mieux etant d'avoir tout préparer (copie de la page du passeport avec les infos perso, 2 photos, le formulaire rempli (quoiqu'on peut en retirer un sur place), et bien sur son passeport valable 6 mois apres)
moi j'étais le 12ème je suis arrivé a 7h35 et reparti à 8h30... cool et rapide. A priori je peux recuperer mon visa et passeport lundi prochain...
Dossier parti ce matin par la Poste. Une enveloppe kraft A4 suffit amplement avec AR tout de même (bien qu'à LaPoste, il vous propose avec insistance leur enveloppe à 18 €).
On peut faire un seul chèque de banque pour plusieurs demandes en mm temps (pas négligeable) 😉, mais il faut bien, pour le renvoi, une enveloppe à 18€ chronopost pour chacune des demandes 🙁.

Je me suis rendue à VFS ce matin : le délai est dorénavant de 10 à 15 jours !!! L'Ambassade a pris énormément de retard dans le traitement des dossiers.
Je pars le 6 mars et la seule solution est de payer 53 € en plus pour une faire une demande d'urgence en justifiant de ta date de départ (billet d'avion ou confirmation de vols).
En plus, on ne peut faire la demande que 2 ou 3 jours avant le départ ! La fille à l'accueil m'a demandé de revenir le mardi pour un départ le jeudi. Ce qui me rassure, c'est qu'elle me dise "je me mets à votre place, c'est anxiogène!". J'étais prête à pleurer !
Alors un conseil si vous ne voulez pas vous retrouver dans la même situaton que moi : ANTICIPER !!

Je suis verte !! J'avoue que je m'y suis prise un peu tard mais après tous les posts que j'avais lus sur le forum, je pensais l'obtenir sous 2/3 jours.
Donc c'est reparti demain matin pour une virée à VFS. Debout à 6 heures pour y être au moisnsà 7h30. Pff !! Mais bon j'assume, j'aurais du m'y prendre avant ! J'ai au moins la chance de vivre sur Paris.

Suite de mon calvaire chez VFS où je suis retournée ce matin à 8H30. D'ailleurs, c'est beaucoup mieux que d'arriver à 7H30 et d'attendre dehors. Là au moins, on est au chaud et le temps d'attente est moins long bizarrement : hier arrivée 7H30 - Sortie 9H00 avec 16 personnes devant moi - Aujourd'hui arrivée 8H30 - Sortie 9H30 (avec 18 personnes devant moi!).
Hier je vous avais indiqué que le délai d'attente était de 10 à 15 jours (je pars dans 8 Jours!). Le seul moyen d'être sur d'avoir mon visa était de payer 53 € en plus et de venir 2/3 jours avant le départ (demande d'urgence).
J'y suis quand même retournée ce matin (avec mon billet d'avion) en me disant qu'il traiterait quand même ma demande si je payais les 53 € supplémentaires.
Je me suis renseignée auprès du type qui ne traitait que les urgences. Ce dernier me dit que je ne peux faire ce type de demande que pour un départ le jour même ou le lendemain. Donc impossible de déposer mon dossier aujourd'hui pour un départ la semaine prochaine.
Je suis un peu en rogne car je me voyais déjà revenir pour la 3ème fois la semaine prochaine !
Par contre, il m'affirme que je peux avoir mon visa pour lundi prochain en passant par la procédure classique !
Je suis entre la joie (de ne pas avoir à payer les 53 € et ne pas avoir à revenir) et la colère (On m'affirmait le contraire hier, de qui se moque t on ?!!).
Bref, il me conseille de faire la queue comme tout le monde et m'assure que j'aurais mon visa dans les temps !

Elle m'a à peine regardé, m'a fait payer mes 62 € et m'a dit qu'il serait prêt vendredi ou lundi au plus tard.
Mon sentiment est donc mitigé sur VFS. D'un côté le service est quand même bon, on attend pas 3 heures, ils sont assez bien organisés mais d'un autre côté les violons ne sont pas accordés et le discours peut changer du jour au lendemain !
(Je me suis quand même demandé s'ils ne profitaient pas de l'anxiété des gens pour essayer de grapiller 53 € en plus...).
Ah oui, dernière info. J'ai rencontré hier et aujourd'hui la personne d'action visa qui dépose les dossiers. Ils ne prennent plus les demandes urgentes car les délais sont trop longs ! Allez comprendre

🤪🤪 Et comment tu fais quand tu as fait la demande d'un passeport à la mairie de ton domicile et donc que tu n'as pas ton passeport pour obtenir un visa de tourisme ??? En combien de temps obtient-on le visa ???
Pour info j'ai envoyé ma demande de visa par la poste samedi 16 février, et j'ai reçu mon visa hier, j'ai été agréablement surprise par la rapidité, je m'attendais à beaucoup plus long pour les demandes par correspondance!
Y'a plus qu'à attendre le départ maintenant...
Mon retour d'expérience VSF :
Visa déposé chez VSF Paris Lundi 26 Février pour une départ le 8 mars et récupéré cet après midi (3 Mars), 1 semaine plus tard, malgré ce qui était annoncé sur leur site (dossier en cours de traitement à l'ambassade) - bonne surprise donc.
Niveau organisation VSF, pour la dépose du dossier : arrivée le matin 7h15 (15pers devant moi) pour sortie 8h45 et pour la récupération : arrivée 18h10 pour sortie 18h30.
N'hésitez pas pour toute demande d'info supplémentaire.
Pour info : passeport envoyé le lundi 25 fevrier (en chronopost) à VFS Paris et reçu aujourd'hui 4 mars chez moi.
Bcp moins long que les 15 jours que VFS m'avait annoncé!
merci Capucine. Je suis allée auj rue du Paradis. Effectivement on peut demander 6 visas sans pb. En revanche, il faut impérativement des procurations des pers. concernées pour les retirer. Ils m'ont dit qu'en 10 jours l'affaire était in the pocket. merci. rakoline😉

merci bien, mais le pb de ce service est tt d'abord qu'il est en anglais et que cela me pose un petit pb et qu'il ne marche pas très bien.. Il me sembalit qu'on pouvait télécharger un formulaire a remplir (plus simple!!)!!!

oui, je peux répondre. il faut 2 photos d'identité sur fond blanc (type photos de passeport) le formulaire rempli (on peut se le procurer au centre de visas rue de Paradis ou sur le site action-visas ou auprès (je crois du consulat) ou aller le chercher sur place. 72 € en liquide ou paiement carte bleue la photocopie des 4 premières pages du passeport (verso de couv, pages 1, 2, 3) le passeport valable 6 mois après la date de retour (avec 1 page libre pour qu'ils mettent le visa)
Je crois que j'ai fait le tour ! ce n'est pas si compliqué ! courage. 😛
pour toute info supplémentaire tu écris un mail à info@vfs-in-fr.com et... ils te répondent soud 48 h. Fastoche !
complément de réponse : je crois que le remplissage du formulaire en ligne c'est pour ceux qui font tout en ligne et par correspondance.
Moi je suis allée sur place leur demander et ils m'ont donné le formulaire en me disant de le rapporter rempli et signé. Ils ne m'ont absolument pas dit de le remplir en ligne... rakoline😛
Evidemment il vaut mieux se rendre sur place si l'on habite près parce qu'il faut y aller 2 fois. Par internet, tu remplis, imprimes, signes, joins photos-formulaire papier-62€ en chèque certifié- 1 enveloppe à 18€, le passeport et envoyer le tout en recommandé.

Une amie m'a dit qu'elle pensait que désormais le visa était valable à partir du moment où l'on entrait en Inde... Qqn peut m'aiguiller?
Je pars le 27 mai et j'ai besoin de rester mini 5 mois sur place. Ca m'arrangerait de retirer le visa en avril car je serai à Paris...

Je vous explique ma situation.
J'ai malheureusement perdu mon passeport , et je m'en suis rendu compte seulement 2 semaines avant mon départ pour une mission humanitaire en Libye. Je suis infirmière et cette mission me tient vraiment à cœur.
J'ai d'abord fait une demande de passeport d'urgence, qui a été refusée par la préfecture du Val-d'Oise, au motif qu'une mission humanitaire programmée ne constituait pas un motif impérieux.
J'ai donc déposé une demande de passeport biométrique le 20 juillet. Depuis, le suivi est bloqué et la mairie ne peut (ou ne veut) pas vraiment me donner d'informations. À chaque appel, on me donne une version différente. La dernière information que j'ai eue est que le passeport serait produit depuis le 23 juillet et avec un statut "va être expédié", mais depuis plus rien.
J'ai réussi à repousser mon départ au maximum à mardi prochain, mais je commence vraiment à paniquer.
Est-ce que certains d'entre vous ont déposé une demande autour du 20 juillet, notamment dans le Val-d'Oise (95) ? Combien de temps avez-vous attendu entre la production du passeport et sa mise à disposition en mairie ? Est-ce normal que cette étape prenne aussi longtemps ?
Cette mission représente énormément pour moi. J'avais tout organisé et je suis également censée assister au mariage d'une amie à la frontière juste après.

The information I’ve found about whether an international permit is required is contradictory. Some sources say you need one, others say you don’t.
Could anyone let me know if an international driver’s permit is necessary to rent a car in Australia (Perth), or if a French license is enough for a 7-day rental?
I’m a bit embarrassed because I need to travel to Quebec from February 27th to March 13th. I’m a regular visitor to Canada—this will be my 10th trip since 1997, plus a year as a permanent resident (2000–2001) and a cross-country run from Vancouver to Halifax in 2011. So, I’m definitely not a terrorist!
But since our last trip in July 2015, they’ve introduced this eTA thing. Seems more like a way to make money than to actually secure Canada, if you ask me, but anyway, that’s not the point.
I applied for an eTA for myself, my wife, and our two kids. They all got approved within hours, but not me! I was asked to create a GC key and then an IRCC account, which I did. Normally, you get news within 72 hours, but since Monday, January 15th, nothing!
In the "message" section of the account, it says "explanation letter (required)" with a deadline of January 25th, but I can’t find any explanation anywhere—despite searching the Canadian government website and Google. No links, nothing!
I’ve emailed them but haven’t heard back yet. I’m thinking of calling the Canadian embassy in Paris tomorrow. Even though I’m not stressing yet, it’d be a bummer if everyone else got to go without me!
If anyone’s had this issue before or knows what this explanation letter is about, I’d love to hear more.

I’m heading to Seoul in September, and to do that I need to get a travel authorization that we apply for through K-ETA....... turns out I can (barely, I admit) fill out the form up to the address of our "stay location," but every address I’ve entered has been rejected by the system. I’ve tried my hotel, the Lotte Hotel (which is well-known in Seoul), the airport—basically, I’ve entered at least 20 addresses, all rejected....
So, to anyone who’s successfully gotten the authorization, could you tell me which address you used to get that "elusive" approval?...

I’m planning a trip from France to Alberta/British Columbia, and I’m unsure about which bank card to use for the security deposit with the rental company (I’m thinking of going with AVIS).
I contacted Avis Canada, and they told me a credit card is absolutely required. I asked my bank for a credit card (a *real* credit card), but they only offered me a deferred debit card.
My question: For a rental with Avis Canada, is a Gold International Mastercard deferred debit card usable for the security deposit needed to finalize the rental? Is the "CREDIT" label enough? (Some cards say "CREDIT" and others say "CARTE DE CREDIT"—seems minor, but it’s actually a big deal in how the card works.)
I’ve seen conflicting info everywhere I look... My bank says it’s *usually* okay (the deferred debit card), while Avis Canada insists it *must* be a credit card, not debit—even when I mention the deferred debit card.
I know the whole credit card concept is already confusing, and on top of that, some sites say a deferred debit card counts as a credit card, while others say it doesn’t.

I bought a one-way flight (Ryanair) and a return flight (EasyJet) to spend a week in Morocco in April.
My passport expires 3 weeks after the return date.
Some websites say the passport must be valid for 3 months at the time of entry.
However, it will still be valid both on entry and return, but its validity will only be 1 month at the time of entry (and 3 weeks on the return date, everything prepaid).
It's an individual family trip.
The consulate can't give me an answer—they're still looking into it (really!)
Last year, we stayed for 3 months in Thailand, north of Khao Lak, and were able to benefit from the 2-month visa exemption, renewable for one month by going to Takua Pa to validate a 1-month extension (1,900 baht).
This year, it’s a disaster for us—not only were we planning a 4-month stay, adding a visa run in between (which some say is quite risky), but the law is apparently changing in the coming months with the return of the 1-month exemption (plus the usual 1-month option). So, we looked into applying for a 6-month multiple-entry visa, allowing a maximum of 60 consecutive days in Thailand. However, I can’t find anywhere the minimum time required outside Thailand between two stays—do any of you have an idea?

As a French national, I need to obtain a short-stay visa that can be converted to a long-stay one. To do this, I have to send the required documents to the Madagascar embassy in Paris.
No issues with that procedure so far.
If I get this visa, once I arrive in Madagascar, I’ll need to provide the same documents to the Ministry of the Interior in Anosy. I’m trying to find an email address or website for the Ministry to check which documents I need to submit (I think they ask for additional ones).

I’d like to know if anyone has already applied for a private visa to Russia with an invitation from a Russian resident.
I traveled earlier this year with an e-visa, but since I want to stay longer, I’ll be visiting my friend who lives in eastern Russia.
For the visa application, does the invitation need to be on an official paper form issued by the Russian ministry? And most importantly, do I need to present the original for the application, or is there an electronic version that can be sent directly to the consulate in France?

I filled out the B2 form to apply for a visa, created an account on Atvis to pay the visa fees and schedule a meet-up, but every time I try to pay with my Boursobank Visa 1st card, they refuse the payment with a message telling me to check my details (address), even though everything is correct. Does anyone know why this is happening, or maybe they don’t accept Visa cards? Are you aware of this?

I’ve read that China may ask for proof of exit within 30 days (flight ticket or other reservation). Since we’d be leaving by land, I’m wondering how this works in practice.

On her ticket, it only has her maiden name (e.g., Martine DUPOND).
On her passport, it’s written as Martine DUPOND épouse AVRY.
No issues for travel, I hope I did the right thing with the ticket?
Then for the ESTA, is just Martine DUPOND enough, or do I need to include the "épouse AVRY" part like on the passport?

I saw on the French Embassy in Peru’s website and the Peruvian Consulate in Paris’s site that the rule is to have a passport valid for 6 months *after the arrival date* (not the return date).
I arrive in Peru on August 13, 2019 (for about twelve days), and my passport is valid until February 16, 2020.
That’s 6 months and 3 days after my arrival date in Peru. In my opinion, I’m good to go.
But could I still be denied entry if they say I don’t cover the return date or that I’m too close to the 6-month mark?

My departure is slowly approaching, and now that I’ve got my Russian visa sorted, I’m fine-tuning the rest of my trip to Tajikistan. Since the Tajik visa is no longer required for stays under 30 days (for French nationals), I’ll need to visit the Ministry of Interior (OVIR) to register within 10 days of entering the country. No big deal, though, since I had to go there anyway to apply for my GBAO permit. 😉 However, I’ve *seen* several reports from travelers (mostly motorized) mentioning that you need an entry permit for Kyrgyzstan, which has to be arranged in advance at the Kyrgyz Ministry (consulate?) in Dushanbe. Otherwise, you’re *stuck* at the Kyzyl-Art border (with no Wi-Fi, of course, to try and sort it out). The most recent report was from a year ago, so I’d love to know if this is still the case and if it’s indeed at the Kyrgyz Ministry (consulate?) where you need to go for this pre-authorization.
