J'ai du mal à trouver de réels retours d'expérience de personnes ayant voyagés à Bali avec Bali Authentique.
Sur un certain forum, seuls les messages positifs subsistent dont la spontanéité et le contenu sont sujet à caution.
Sur d'autres forums il y a les redresseurs de tort et des intervenants souvent trop récents et trop polis pour être honnètes.
Je voudrais donc avoir des comptes rendus sincères avec les bons et les mauvais côtés.
Est-ce possible ?
Etait censuré par VF ou enlever par la personne elle même? Elle s'est tellement fait incendier sur son poste, n'a jamais répondu à aucun message....
En tout cas, je réponds à Nieder que mon expérience avec Bali Authentique était très positif. J'ai organisé ce voyage pour mes parents et un autre couple, ils sont âgés de 75- 84 ans et Bali Authentique était vraiment très à l'écoute de leur besoins et leurs envies sur place. Laurent les a rencontré à Paris avant leur départ et ce voyage reste un souvenir inoubliable pour eux.
Avec le témoignage qui t'ait proposé ci-dessus (censuré ou retiré ?), tu devrais être comblé pour ce qui est des mauvais côtés. Y'a de la sincérité aussi, quant à l'objectivité, à toi de voir... 🤪
En tous cas, ce post m'avait bien fait rire, notament à cause de ces enfoirés de coqs balinais qui avaient le culot de se manifester la nuit !!! UN SCANDALE !!!...😠😠😛

Pour l'instant sur tous les forums on ne parle que du blog de douleureusment authentique.
Mais je ne pense pas qu'une agence n'aurait pas pu tenir si longtemps avec de telles prestations, car les messages négatifs auraient foisonnés, ce qui ne veut pas dire qu'il n'y pas eu dans ce cas de réels pb.

Il y a certainement un probleme avec l'agence mais il y en a un nettement plus gros et evident: la destination elle-meme.
Une partie des problemes mentionnes (notamment le bruit et la gestion des dechets) n'a rien a voir avec l'agence mais le fait que l'ile devient une immense reserve a touristes qui ne fait qu'accentuer l'afflux d'Indonesiens des iles voisines venant chercher du travail dans le tourisme.Le reseau routier (notamment le Sud) est souvent sature, les dechets sont brules ou deposes la ou on peut, la mer devient une decharge et un systeme d'egout.
La plupart des gens partant en vacances a Bali ont une image dans leur tete qui est deja morte et enterree depuis bien longtemps !
je rentre d'un voyage en indonésie java bali lombock grâce au routard j'ai amené les boules kies (ouf car entre les chiens les coqs dur dur.....)
la météo n'a pas été fameuse java et à ubud mais c'est la faute à "pas de chance"trombes d'eau

Bonjour, l'erreur c'est de partir à Bali avec une agence de voyages, alors si en plus vous avez des doutes sur cette agence, abstenez vous.
Achetez un guide de voyage, fouillez sur le forum les infos pertinentes sur Bali et partez par vous-même, vous ne pourrez pas être déçu.
Pas tout à fait d'accord ..... je suis allé quatre fois à Bali et Lombok, trois fois seul et la dernière fois avec Baliautrement, et ce fut de loin mon meilleur souvenir ..... plus de temps pour nous car pas besoin de s'occuper de la logistique, un guide qui nous a enmené dans des endroits hors sentiers touristiques, l'apprentissage des us et coutumes du peuple balinais, des hébergements insoupçonnés .... j'ai vraiment été ravi, mais aprés c'est une question de savoir si on a le budget ou non, c'est une autre expérience mais qui doit être tenté avec une agence compétente et en individuel avec celle ci pour une meilleure approche et connaissance si des liens se tissent entre votre guide et vous même .....
J'ai en reçu aussi en direct et dignes de confiance, de personnes ayant choisi Bali Authentique. Il en ressort que tous ont appréciés cette agence, ce qui ne veut pas dire qu'il ne peut y avoir de Pb (voir le témoignage si décrié mais à mon avis loin d'être impartial) et que Bali c'est pas la France .

L'idée de réserver par une structure telle que Baliauthentique ou autre n'est pas mauvaise, car ça vous évite de vous occuper des hébergements, transports etc...
Mais je pense qu'on peut s'en passer surtout si on parle un peu d'anglais.
Réserver des hébergements en ligne puis louer une voiture avec chauffeur, (certains parlent assez bien anglais et vous guident à travers Bali): je pense que ça revient un peu moins cher.
J'ai eu affaire à Baliautrement et Balicontact pour une partie du séjour à Bali et je dois dire que j'ai été entièrement satisfait de leur prestations. Mais la prochaine fois je ferai tout seul car Bali est assez accueillant pour qu'on puisse se débrouiller tout seul. Mais ce n'est là que mon humble avis.
C'est ce qu'on fait nos enfants. Mais comme nous partons à 3 couples donc avec 6 avis différents potentiels il me paraît plus simple de régler avant le départ les hébergements et les centres d'intérêts avec une agence. De plus notre anglais est une ancien souvenir scolaire alors......

Muni d'un anglais scolaire à couper au couteau, nous avons passé 7 jours à Bali dont nous sommes très contents.
Nous étions 6, avons loué minibus avec chauffeur (8 euro par jour par personne), évité les pièges à touristes (dauphins par ex) et cherché dans la mesure du possible le Bali Authentique, mais l'autre. L'absence de programme détaillé nous a permis des rencontres avec les gens dans des lieux imprévus (gamelans, crémations ..)
J'ai vu la note sur le blog. Pour comparer. Juste avant nous étions sur Sulawesi. Trois semaines tout compris (sauf le retour Manado - Makassar en avion, 70 euro) pour 750 euro par personne et un service parfait. (Et je sais que notre voyagiste de Makassar fait aussi Bali)

Nous devons également partir pour fin juin 2011 avec Bali Authentique. Come vous, nous sommes un peu inquiets sur cette agence, même si elle semble avoir bonne presse et nous nous faisons la même réflexion, à savoir qu'elle n'existerait plus si elle n'était pas sérieuse, ce coin du monde ayant vraiment de la concurence entre Bali Passion, Bali autrement etc...
Maintenant, concernant les déboires du couple, après lecture de leur périple, je pense qu'ils n'ont vraiment pas eu de chance : d'abord un guide pas sérieux du tout (d'ailleurs sur le site Bali Authentique, vous ne le trouvez plus...licencié ?) et puis ils ont eu un temps plus que pourri (ça change la vision du voyage et ça mine le moral).
Pour ma part, je garde une petite appréhension, mais je ne crois pas que cela ne va me freiner (à tort ?) pour y aller. Ils font aussi allusion aux bruits des grenouilles, des vagues etc...L'agence n'y peut pas grand chose, ou alors fallait choisir des hôtels dans les terres (n'empêche, nous partirons, du coup, avec des boules Quiès !!) et puis au bout d'1 jour ou 2, si le guide ne fait pas ce qui est indiqué sur l'itinéraire, il va m'entendre parler français !! Je ne vais pas attendre 10 ou 12 jours...

Mon inquiétude ne se porte pas plus sur Bali Authentique, que Bali Autrement. Et quand je dis inquiétude, en fait il s'agit plutôt d'une légère appréhension. Je crois que toutes ces agences se ressemblent, c'est mon point de vue. Peut être avez-vous des arguments qui me feraient fléchir sur une agence plutôt qu'une autre ? Je suis preneur.
Le tout est que nous sommes décidés d'aller là-bas fin juin 2011, nous avons d'ailleurs nos billets d'avion. Le principe de cette formule semble intéressant : vous êtes pris en charge concernant la conduite (pas triste à Bali), les explications (un guide parlant français et connaissant comme sa poche, son île), les hébergements que vous avez choisi (souvent hors de la masse touristique), des coins que vous allez visiter, méconnus des touristes habituels et enfin, être plus proche des habitants et de leur façon de vivre.. Si les agences de tous les pays pouvaient faire ce style de programme, elles feraient fortune.
Maintenant, on est bien conscient, pour avoir voyagé ailleurs, que tout n'est pas rose. mais il y a petits incidents lorsqu'ils existent, et vraies grosses galères !
Comme je l'ai déjà indiqué, j'ai une certaine habitude du voyage seul et cela depuis longtemps ..... des îles comme Bali et Lombok je les connais bien également pour y avoir été précédemment plusieurs fois, et en solo sans aucune aide extérieure .... un jour j'ai eu à enmener ma belle qui aime voyager plus " sereinement " et plus " confortablement " et pour bien profiter de mon voyage sans souci d'hébergement, sans souci de choix des transports, pour que tout se huile bien et que je sois certain d'effectuer un " beau " voyage, mon choix s'est porté de faire appel à une agence " locale " .....
J'ai été enchanté, et à ce jour cela reste un de mes plus beaux voyages ..... nous avons eu plusieurs discussions auparavant ( par mail ) pour le choix des hébergements, pour le choix de parcours et de ce que nous désirions voir ..... mais rien n'était définitif puisque même une fois sur place, nous avons pu faire des changements ..... parfois, comme aux Gilis, nous étions seuls pendant trois à quatre jours sans personne, et au moment ou nous avions besoin de notre guide, celui ci était là ..... et même lors des " ballades " ensemble, il sentait lorsque nous voulions rester seuls, car il voyait bien que nous avions l'habitude de voyager et de nous débrouiller ....
Des quatre fois ou je suis allé à Bali:Lombok, ce fut ma pus belle expérience .... tant dans la variété et le choix des hébergements, de l'approche de la culture balinaise, de la découverte de la flore et de la faune, du temps que nous avions pour visiter et contempler, de la liberté d'improvisation que l'on nous laissait .... et au risque de déconcerter certains de mes amis voyageurs de ce forum, ce fut une expérience enrichissante à tous points de vue ....
Effectivement notre guide était un garçon super ..... l'agence Baliautrement nous a contacté deux à trois fois au téléphone pour s'assurer que tout se passait bien, et on a rencontré par deux fois pour un café une responsable d'agence, vraiment aux petits soins .....
Voilà .... je ne dis pas que c'est une généralité, mais je rapporte mon expérience de ce voyage ci, qui certes n'était pas bon marché .... mais cela tenait aussi au choix de nos hébergements ....

I didn’t plan to return to Thailand this year, but my health conditions mean it’ll be the best place for me to stay between two trips to India. The tourism setup there is so well-organized that it’s the most "comfortable" country for a short visit. Thailand feels too sanitized for my taste, and there’s too much religion, Buddha, and the King, but it’s still the best option given how my health has been evolving. I’d considered two weeks in ThaTon for hiking, but I got too sick from the burn-offs during my trips to the mountains around Chiang Rai. So I’m not sure where to go this year. Definitely not the sea, touristy spots, or the mountains with burn-offs...

In 1996, we crossed Vietnam from Saigon to Hanoi by motorbike—Minsk bikes we bought in Saigon. I haven’t been back since, and it seems like a lot has changed.
- We’re heading to the south (well, the north and center) with the family in July-August (3 people).
- Is the road network more developed now? Back then, there was only National Route 1 from south to north. I’m thinking of renting a car this time (no motorbike with the family—though in ’96, they had a Jawa sidecar for sale, and we hesitated… maybe it’s for the best).
- Is Halong Bay really something to avoid because of overtourism? Even back then, it was pretty crowded. Is there a less touristy alternative?
- We’ll be traveling from Hanoi down to Danang (the only city we didn’t stop in back in ’96). Even though it’s a bit overhyped in a Chinese-tourist kind of way (from what I’ve read), we’re only going for the beach—pure relaxation for 7 days. The beaches are stunning, and I know the South China Sea is warm like coffee.
- Then, we’ll visit Hoi An, where I stopped in ’96. It was already popular with backpackers back then, but no glowing boats or all the touristy fuss!
- After that, Hue, where I have great memories—it’s a beautiful city.
- And also the nature around Ninh Binh, followed by 2-3 days in Hanoi.
That’s the plan. I’d love to hear any tips to avoid mass tourism, and if anyone’s done this before:
- Is it possible to rent a car in Danang and drop it off in Hanoi?

I’m struggling to wrap up the end of my itinerary, even though it’s pretty straightforward (long but simple).
Last year, we did Malaysia (KL and the mainland + around Kuching).
Day 1 – Arrive in Kota Kinabalu early, stroll around town and hit the must-sees.
Day 2 – Excursion to Tunku Abdul Rahman Park, snorkeling at 3 islands.
Day 3 – Hike around Mount Kinabalu without summiting (450 per person, no way).
Day 4 – Poring Hot Springs + evening flight to Sandakan.
Day 5-6-7 – Kinabatangan River (still looking for the right guide).
Day 8 – Sepilok for the orangutans, the Sun Bear Centre, and Rainforest Discovery Centre.
Day 9 – Selingan, turtle island.
Day 10 – Head to Semporna.
Day 11-12-13-14 – Sipadan, Mabul, Kapalai.
Day 15 – Bohey Dulang.
Day 16 to Day 25: I’M STUCK.
I looked into Danum Valley, but for 3 days/2 nights, they’re quoting 650 € per person—come on, that’s ridiculous.
I checked out a detour into Indonesia (still East Borneo), but I’m having trouble deciding what would be amazing.
I read about Sangalaki + Kakaban (2 islands, 1 base) / Mahakam Delta - Kutai (orangutans and river) / Sungai Boh (Dayak Kayan) – jungle & culture.
But honestly, I’m struggling to finalize this itinerary.
If we venture that way, we’d head back to KK from Balikpapan.
For a 4-month stay in Egypt, I had ENORMOUS problems. The regulations are very bureaucratic and extremely nitpicky there. For a 4-month stay in the Philippines, I was wondering if the procedures are just as complicated? I’m bringing my cell phone with an eSIM. Should I choose a plan from Canada for use in the Philippines, or should I get a plan only once I arrive? After 30 days, do I renew with the Canadian provider I chose before leaving, or do I switch to a local company? Do I need to register my phone with the authorities in the Philippines? (That was the case in Egypt.) For the 3rd and 4th months, will it be just as simple—renewing with a Canadian or local provider—or should I expect problems?

We’re heading to Vietnam as a family on July 8th for a little over 3 weeks (north and center). We’ve only booked the first 3 nights in Hanoi, and nothing else after that. We like to decide things on the spot and go with the flow, without rushing everywhere. But I’m still a bit unsure: when heading down to the center (Hue), is it better to book the overnight trains in advance? We don’t want to take any flights while we’re there—just use the overnight train for the long trips. But I’m worried we won’t get seats if we buy the tickets on the spot, say, 2 days before. I’d love to get some feedback on our itinerary—it’s probably pretty basic! This is our second trip to Asia and our first to Indonesia. We have three kids aged 20, 18, and 12. We land in Jakarta at 4 PM, spend 3 nights/2 days there, then take the train to Yogyakarta for 3 nights/2 days, followed by the train to Surabaya for 2 nights/1 day, then the train to Bromo for 1 day/1 night, a private driver to Ijen for 2 nights/2 days, then on to Bali (Ubud) for 4 nights/3 days, followed by Gili Air for 3 nights/2 days, Senggigi (Lombok) for 2 nights, and finally 5 nights in Kuta. I’m considering cutting the 2 nights in Senggigi to just keep Kuta and extend it to 7 nights. In Lombok, I’m not sure how to get around since I’m not comfortable with scooters... Your thoughts on all of this, and any advice, are more than welcome—don’t hesitate!
For those wondering why cities like Jakarta and Surabaya: we don’t often get the chance to visit big Asian cities, so we wanted to include that discovery in our trip. The trains between Jakarta and Yogyakarta, Surabaya and Probolinggo are booked. The return flight from Lombok to Jakarta is also set. Accommodations are booked but flexible (same for the trains).

For those familiar with SOUTHEAST ASIA, I'm planning to leave in mid-June (with the trip ending at the latest in November), and I don’t have a precise idea of exact places or itineraries yet. The thing is, this period is usually the rainy season...
Any advice? I was thinking of Malaysia or Indonesia, like Sulawesi, for example (all countries and islands in Southeast Asia interest me except Bali).
Any recommendations? I’m doing my research online, but if anyone here has the time and knowledge, I’d love to hear from you.
My partner and I are planning a trip to Indonesia in September-October 2026. My girlfriend and I booked our tickets with Saudia Airlines for a trip to Thailand this summer, from July 5th to August 3rd. Given the geopolitical situation in the Middle East, we’re keeping a close eye on the news.
I was wondering if anyone here is in the same situation as us?
• Have you heard anything about possible mass cancellations or if the airline is still maintaining its routes to Asia?
• Are there any travelers who’ve recently returned who could tell us if air corridors have been changed (longer flight times)?

Thanks for all your contributions on the forum—they’ve really helped me plan my trip. There are four of us friends heading to Sulawesi for 20 days. Based on all your advice, I’ve put together the following itinerary:
July 30: Makassar – sightseeing
July 31: Makassar – sightseeing + overnight bus to Rantepao
August 1–7: Tana Toraja with a guide
August 7: Tana Toraja to Tentena + visit Tentena
August 8: Early departure with a private driver to Ampana, then ferry to the Togian Islands
August 9–15: Togian Islands (2 different resorts)
August 15: Depart Togian Islands for Luwuk
August 16: Flight Luwuk to Makassar
August 17: Rammang Rammang
August 18: Stroll in Makassar, then return home
Overall, what do you think?
I also have a question about the connection between Tentena and the Togian Islands: Is it doable to leave early in the morning as planned and still be sure not to miss the ferry?

I’m currently working on a 30-day itinerary for May/June 2027.
10 days in eastern Java (Malang, Bromo, waterfalls, Meru Beriti Park, Banyuwangi, and Ijen), a short transit in Ubud for a few days, then Flores before heading back to Jakarta.
We’ll spend 15 days in Flores (the classic route: Moni, Bajawa, Riung, Ruteng, ending in Labuan Bajo).
I’d love some firsthand feedback on flights to Maumere or Ende from Bali Denpasar. I know there are no direct routes and that you have to connect through Labuan Bajo or Timor (I think), which isn’t an issue in itself.
But I’ve read here and there that flights to these destinations can be delayed—or worse, canceled—and that it’s better to fly in and out of Labuan Bajo, which isn’t exactly ideal...
