Je suis actuellement sur Bangkok et je voudrais donc me renseigner sur les hopitaux que vous me conseillé afin d'aller faire une visite.
Sur le guide du routard, on parle du docteur Philippe Balankura qui parle français ainsi que du BNH Medical Center.
Pourriez vous donc me dire ce que vous me conseillez ?

Le BNH est un des plus gros hopitaux de la ville, prive donc cher (J'ai fait un examen pour mes yeux il y a 2 ans, tres pro !!!) mais la qualite des soins est au rendez-vous, je connais pas le doteur dont tu parles mais si tu veux quelqu'un de Francais ils te le trouveront sans soucis😎, la Thailande est devenu une destination touristique pour les oins medicaux et la qualite de sa chirurgie, ne te fais pas de mourron !
Sinon, passe a l'ambassade de France pres de l'hotel Oriental, ils te donneront surement un medecin Francais si ca te rassure.

Sinon d'une manière génerale j'ai trouvé que les hopitaux en Thailande étaient très bon, après si tu cherches un médecin qui parle francais c'est sur....si c'est comme au Laos, tu peux aller consulter le médecin gratuitement a l'ambassade de France (mais au Laos il a arrété de pratiquer en fin mars). Sinon personnellement j'étais allé a l'hopital de Jesus mdr le truc missionaire, car c'était le plus près, et on ne savait pas trop ou aller, bon passées les rigolades après avoir vu les tableaux de jesus aidant une femme a accoucher, ou jesus analysant je ne sais quoi au microscope, je l'ai trouvé très très bien, mais il faudrait que tu dise ce que tu as plus précisement? car moi j'avais attrapé pytiriasis versicolor et ils n'avaient pas été capables de le diagnostiquer par exemple, même au microscope.
Lors d un grand voyage en asie en 1998, j ai du me resoudre a me rendre dans un grand hopital a bangkok dont j ai oublié le nom mais c est un truc pour les expat !top niveau!
j avais des amibes donc besoin de faire des analyses(selle, urine, sang.......pipi, caca et sang en langage courant !), plus echographie du foie et visite médicale tout cela accompagné d une interprete, j'y avais passer la journée
c 'etait super clean, super efficace mais le nom ??? bangkok hospital peu etre !!tout etait informatisé (les rapports d analyse, etc, etc)
la vie est comme un livre, celui qui n'a pas voyagé n'en connais que la 1ere page.
J'ai subi une petite opération chirurgicale au BNH et la qualité des soins était excellente. Le médecin parlait parfaitement l'anglais mais pas le français (je n'avais pas demandé un médecin parlant le français).
Le Bangkok Hospital et ses "satellites" sont également d'excellents hôpitaux.
Bien sur ces hôpitaux sont des établissements privés donc plus chers que les hôpitaux d'états. Mais les prix restent toujours meilleurs marchés qu'en Europe de l'ouest (en tout cas moins chers qu'en Suisse) et les assurances occidentales prennent souvent en charge les frais (mais il est toujours préférable de se renseigner avant...).

Pour le moment j'ai simplement mal au ventre ... mais je préfère me renseigner au cas où cela soit quelque choses de plus graves et donc savoir où aller si besoin est.
Si vous avez des endroits à conseiller pour une visiste, je suis bien entendu preneur.
Pourriez vous également me dire les tarifs dans les hopitaux ( privé et publique ) pour une consultation afin que je sache à quoi m'attendre.

Tu as des traducteurs si tu as besoin, ....! Pour les tarifs, ça dépend de la consultations et des médocs que l'on te donne ( il y a la pharmacie sur place ). Mais en rentrant en France, la sécu te rembourse très bien et le complément par ta mutuelle ou l'assurance que tu as souscrit ( peut être) avec ton billet d'avion. D'ailleurs, tu peux essayer de te mettre en contact avec eux pour eviter de faire l'avance des frais ..qui ne tente rien...
et pour l'anecdote, il y a un mini orchestre classique ( pizno, violon.) aux heures des repas à l'entrée😄!

J'ai été victime d'un empoisonement alimentaire dernièrement et j'ai fait une petite visite dans un hôpital de Rayong. Ca m'a coûté 500 Bahts, médicaments compris.
Un ami souffrait d'une inflamation du nerf sciatique et a décidé de se rendre au Burumgrad Hospital à Bangkok. Là: analyse de sang et radio de la colonne. Prix: 8000 bahts.
Sur Saphan Kwai trés bien: "Paolo Memorial Hospital" tel 271-0227 métro saphan kwai.

We're about to go on an organized trip to South Africa, including Kruger Park. We were told that Malarone should preferably be taken in the evening at the same time during a meal. But it's hard to know what time we'll have dinner, especially since I've read that in South Africa, dinner is usually around 6 PM.
I'd love to hear from people who've been on organized trips to this destination and could share their experience. We were thinking of taking Malarone around 7:30 PM, assuming dinner would be closer to 7 PM than 6 PM. Also, if the meal ends up being earlier or later than when we take the pill, would a cookie or a piece of bread be enough to take with Malarone?
I’m planning to set off on a "round-the-world" trip/long journey at the start of next year, lasting between 4.5 and 6 months. For now, the itinerary looks like this: South Korea (2 weeks) -> Japan (1 month) -> New Zealand (1 month) -> Argentina (1 month) -> United States (1 month).
I’m on medication (paroxetine 20 mg/day) and was hoping to bring enough for the entire trip so I wouldn’t have to find a doctor on the spot, deal with a molecule that might be slightly different from what’s available in France, or wonder if that’s even a possibility. Basically, it seemed simpler on paper...
But after looking into the regulations for each country, it’s suddenly way less simple . Many seem to only allow the amount corresponding to the length of your "stay" in the country... Which is a problem if I arrive in Korea with 4.5 months’ worth of medication, for example.
After all that, and even though I’ll obviously contact the relevant authorities in each country (fingers crossed for a response 😛), here’s my question:

I have several chronic conditions (including asthma and related ones), and I’m planning to travel for a year across different countries.
Generally, I understand it’s possible to travel with approved medications (which should be my case), but often with a limit of 3 months’ worth of treatment.
Since I’m going for 12 months, that means for three-quarters of my trip, I’d have more than 3 months’ worth of medication.
I plan to bring my prescriptions with the INN (International Nonproprietary Name), as well as the original packaging (even though it’s a nightmare, but from what I understand, it’s necessary). But I’m not sure if that’s enough...

We, as parents, have been through it in Egypt with pretty bad cases, but we’d really like to avoid that for our daughter. The suspected origin is contamination in Namibia by jackals.
The contagion seems to be spreading.

It’s the bite that transmits the disease.
There are so-called "furious" forms with aggression, but also forms without aggression.
