Il y en a pas mal qui correspondent à ton choix mais tu as raison d'insister car certaines ont un lagon trop grand et tu ne peux pas aller à la nage à la barrière...c'est décevant.
Je suis allé à Maayafushi et la barrière est (pour un des côtés de l'ile à quelques dizaines de mètres du bord, avec des passages creusées pour franchir la barrière. Le snorkeling y est très agréable (tortues, requins (petits ^^), bancs de toutes les couleurs et j'ai même vu une manta). Je te conseille quand même de plonger aussi en bouteille : c'est le paradis.
En ce qui concerne l'hotel, il s'agit de bungalows disséminés sur le pourtour de l'île (il y en a également sur pilotis) Grande chambre à 10-15 mètres de la mer, avec salle de bains à demi couverte (tu prends ta douche en admirant le ciel bleu).
L'ile fait 400 mètres sur 50-60 de large donc y a pas foule.....
Si tu choisis une ile avec un hôtel dans le concept : batiment abritant restauration, chambres et avec la piscine en sus, tu iras sur des îles plus grande, avec sûrement plus de monde.
Dernier détail, la formule est "tout inclus", les repas-buffets sont bons et copieux. Nous n'avons pas été déçus.
J'y suis également allé en Février et c'est une très bonne période pour la météo : presque pas de pluie (1 jours sur 15)

J'ai les mêmes exigences que vous. Je suis parti 4 fois aux Maldives et je pars une 5ème fin janvier 2009 pour Irufushi (4 étoiles mais ça varie selon le tour opérator). J'ai retenu une water villa jacuzzi pilotis, les photos ne sont pas mal.
Pour ce qui vous préoccupe (et moi aussi), l'on m'a assuré que le reef est accessible à la nage. De plus, l'atoll Noonu est désert et l'île qui est en face préserve Irufushi des courants et autres tracas qui, perturbent le snokling.

Lors de mon séjour, il n'y avait pas trop d'allemand. L'intégration des bungalows dans l'ile est telle que tu ne rencontreras que très peu d'autres touristes. A part, évidemment, au restaurant ou à la piscine.

I found a hotel, the Kappa Club Crystal Bay Resort, and online reviews for this hotel recommend a guide named Omar. I contacted him via WhatsApp, and he's offering a 2-day, 1-night safari in Tsavo East, a "blue safari," and a Marafa Canyon day trip for 400 € per person.
I’m asking for help from people who’ve already done these excursions because I have no idea what these offers entail.

Can anyone recommend 5 or 6 hotel names that meet the following criteria? (I’m not too picky, lol)

3. Beautiful beach and pool
4. Hotel for relaxing (no "factory hotels")
5. One-week stay in February 2026
6. A nice hotel (3 or 4 stars) but no need for an ultra-palace
Oh, and I almost forgot the main thing 😉: budget between 3500 € and 4000 € for two, including flights from Montreal-Mexico-Montreal.

To add to the info in the title, I’m open to various activities, but ideally, it’d include snorkeling, hiking, dance (every evening if possible!), group tours, etc. I’d love to meet people (not necessarily a man—just people in general!). Is the latter one reliable?

Bonjour nous arriverons dimanche 5 mai ( à partir de 16h25) à l'aéroport de Punta Cana pour profiter d'un séjour que mon amie à gagner à l’hôtel Gran Bahia Principe La Romana.
L'avion est offert par la compagnie aérienne, l'hôtel je pense par la chaine hôtelière, mais aujourd'hui je m’inquiète du transfert car aucune info et j'apprends que rien n'est prévu.
D’après ce que j'ai vu le dernier car expreso part de Punta Cana à 16h00
Y-a t'il d'autres moyens de transports collectif (guagua) qui puisse faire le trajet ou au moins nous avancer jusqu'à La Romana ou San Pedro de Marcoris et je pense qu'on finira le trajet en taxi.
Si c'est trop compliqué ça sera navette privée mais on est plus "lonely planet " que navette privée et hôtel tout inclus.
