C'est la question que je me pose... 1er voyage dans le sud. 2 familles (2 couples 3 jeunes adultes 18 à 21 ans). La mer est-elle plus belle en République ou au MExique? Quel endroit es le mieux pour fêter le Nouvel an? et LA question... Quel hôtel..??? il y en a tellement, depuis quelques jours je me promène dans ces 2 rubriques..(Mexique-R.D.), je lis les discussions mais plus j'en lis plus je suis mélangée...!!! Il est certain que nous voulons bien manger, visiter des marchés, villages "typique" etc., nous baigner avec les dauphins et nos jeunes veulent s'amuser le soir et bien sûr.. nous baigner dans une mer bleue-turquoise...!!
J'ai l'habitude de passer les fêtes de fin d'année à l'étranger et notamment au mexique ou en république dominicaine. Les plages sont très belles, que ce soit au mexique ou en République (PUNTA CANA pas PUERTO PLATA). Maintenant mon coup de coeur (pour la beauté ) va au mexique. Au Mexique Le bahia principe est vraiment formidable. Je suis allée cette année au riu Yucatan mais je préfère le Bahia. Par contre j'ai passé en 2004 Noël en RP à l'iberostar Bavaro beach (je te le recommande) et c'était formidable ( ex: le père Noël est arrivé par hélicopter sur la plage. J'ai un garçon de 4 ans et pour lui c'était du jamais vu). On avait du champagne à volonté tous les jours, ce qui n'était pas le cas au mexique. Pour les enfants, les festivités de Noël ne pouvaient pas être mieux.
Maintenant je crois que cela dépend de l'hôtel dans lequel on va. C'est un choix difficile mais tu ne peux pas être déçue si tu prends un bon hôtel. Pour moi, la meilleure chaine c'est iberostar.
Etant agent de voyage, je vous conseille la Rep Dom, ou vous trouverez les plus belles plages, mais pas grand chose à faire à part quelques balades.
Pour le Mexique il faut choisir Playa del Carmen proche de CANCUN mais la problématique et le vol, il faut passer par Mexico ou Miami.
vous préférez Playa Del Carmen à Riviera Maya? pouvez vous me donnez quelques raisons ? Croyez vous que puisque R.M. est "la nouvelle place" à aller, qu'il y a trop de gens?.
J'aimerais bien aller visiter un village "typique" et ou un marché et me baigner avec les dauphins, mais puisque nous n'y serons que 7 jours, je crois que nous profiterons de la plage et des activités offertes.
Vous croyez qu'en partant de Montréal, nous devons faire un escale ?
Playa del carmen est une ville qui se situe sur la Riviera Maya qui est une longue bande de terre qui part d'un peu en-dessous de Cancun et qui s'arrête à Tulum.
Des villages typique tu n'en trouveras pas beaucoup puisque le Yucatan est quand même une destination très touristique, mais on peut citer Puerto Morelos comme petit village ou Tulum et Valladolid comme ville.
Te baigner avec les dauphins ??? 😠😠 chacun son truc...
Va à Xel-Ha c'est encore là qu'ils ont l'air le plus en forme 😕
Mais il serait dommage d'aller au Mexique sans visiter un ou deux sites Mayas, sinon autant aller en R.D. ya les activités, la plage, les dauphins mais pas les regrets de ne pas avoir vu un petit bout de cette splendide région.

je suis allée au mois de novembre à Punta cana (rep.dominicaine) et je reviens du mexique. Mon avi sans hésiter le Mexique les plages sont pareilles mais en dehors de l'hôtel il y a beaucoup plus de choses à faire. Ce pays a une culture et des sites merveilleux à visiter. En rep. dominicaine pas grand chose à faire. Pour les jeunes il faut séjourner à Playa del Carmen. Ca bouge le soir.

At all-inclusive resorts, base salaries are extremely low for 10- to 12-hour workdays. Tips aren’t just a little extra—they often make up half of these families’ income.
Personally, I always prepare an envelope with euro bills in different denominations before I leave (they exchange them easily on-site). Here’s my method:
🛏️ For housekeeping: I leave a bill on the pillow every morning since schedules rotate daily.
🍽️ For servers: I always sit at the same table. At the end of the trip, I give an envelope to each server who took care of us daily.
🎉 For entertainment: I set aside an envelope for the animator who put in the most effort and really touched me.
The package covers the hotel, but our tips help support the people who make our vacations magical. Don’t forget to budget for this in cash when you pack!

I found a hotel, the Kappa Club Crystal Bay Resort, and online reviews for this hotel recommend a guide named Omar. I contacted him via WhatsApp, and he's offering a 2-day, 1-night safari in Tsavo East, a "blue safari," and a Marafa Canyon day trip for 400 € per person.
I’m asking for help from people who’ve already done these excursions because I have no idea what these offers entail.

I was thinking of going to Martinique, but apparently, the hotels aren’t all-inclusive, which might be a hassle. If you have any advice, that’d be great. Can anyone recommend 5 or 6 hotel names that meet the following criteria? (I’m not too picky, lol)

3. Beautiful beach and pool
4. Hotel for relaxing (no "factory hotels")
5. One-week stay in February 2026
6. A nice hotel (3 or 4 stars) but no need for an ultra-palace
Oh, and I almost forgot the main thing 😉: budget between 3500 € and 4000 € for two, including flights from Montreal-Mexico-Montreal.

To add to the info in the title, I’m open to various activities, but ideally, it’d include snorkeling, hiking, dance (every evening if possible!), group tours, etc. I’d love to meet people (not necessarily a man—just people in general!). We’ll be in Venice from March 20th to 24th, and I’m looking (for two couples) for a hotel close to St. Mark’s Square—my husband can’t walk long distances. For four nights with breakfast, our budget is around 1,400 € per couple. To avoid too much walking for him, I’d also prefer a hotel where we could potentially eat dinner in the evenings.

You can’t pay online there—you just submit a reservation request (enquiry).
The second is the NWR (Namibia Wildlife Resorts) site: https://www.nwr.com.na, where you *can* pay online.
Is the latter one reliable?

Bonjour nous arriverons dimanche 5 mai ( à partir de 16h25) à l'aéroport de Punta Cana pour profiter d'un séjour que mon amie à gagner à l’hôtel Gran Bahia Principe La Romana.
L'avion est offert par la compagnie aérienne, l'hôtel je pense par la chaine hôtelière, mais aujourd'hui je m’inquiète du transfert car aucune info et j'apprends que rien n'est prévu.
D’après ce que j'ai vu le dernier car expreso part de Punta Cana à 16h00
Y-a t'il d'autres moyens de transports collectif (guagua) qui puisse faire le trajet ou au moins nous avancer jusqu'à La Romana ou San Pedro de Marcoris et je pense qu'on finira le trajet en taxi.
Si c'est trop compliqué ça sera navette privée mais on est plus "lonely planet " que navette privée et hôtel tout inclus.

A ce jour elles n apparaissent plus sur mon compte Booking , j en ai informé par mail le service clients mais ce dernier ne repond pas ...donc impossible d annuler ces reservations....Quelqu un a t il connu ce probleme et l a t il resolu ???
