J'ai 25 ans et j'habite dans le département du Bas-Rhin en France. J'ai une petite fille de 6 mois et je suis responsable de rayon dans le domaine de l'habillement.
Je me permet de prendre contact avec vous car mon mari et moi, avons comme projet de vivre en Nouvelle Calédonie et précisément à Nouméa. La demande de mutation est en cours et nous attendons une réponse favorable. Pour cela, je me permet de prendre quelques informations sur la vie Calédonienne.
Dans un premier temps j'aurais voulu savoir:
- On nous a dit que les produits importés étaient plus chers que les produits locaux, quels sont les produits locaux ?
- Que devons nous savoir principalement par rapport à cette île ? (à part le climat tropical et les magnifiques lagons...)
- Est ce que les pompiers professionnels bénéficient d'un logement de fonction?
- La sécurité sociale fonctionnne-t-elle à l'identique qu'en métropole ?
- Y a-t-il des offres d'emplois pour les gens de la métropole? Dans quels domaines? (apparement les kanaks sont prioritaires, ce que je conçoit complètement...)

Tu auras déjà pas mal de réponses à tes questions en épluchant VF.
( On finit par ne plus répondre car tous les jours ce sont inlassablements les mêmes qui reviennent. )
En cliquant sur mon nom à gauche ( par ex ), ça t'ouvre une fenêtre et tout en bas il y a : "nombre de messages publics ". en cliquant dessus tu pourras remonter sur plusieurs mois de messages, cliques aussi sur d'autres noms pour avoir d'autres avis etc....
ensuite, la loi est faite pour favoriser l'emploi des natifs de NC, pas seulement des kanaks.
Ne te focalise pas sur les produits locaux ou pas, tout est très cher de toute façon, de 1, 5 à 2 fois le cout de la vie en france, vous vous y ferez comme tout le monde et trouverez vite vos marques
Je ne sais pas pour le logement des pompiers, ne connaissant pas ce domaine.
A moins qu'il ne soit Cap. ou Colonel, je doute sincèrement qu'il en ait un. Bref, il doit pouvoir le savoir avant de partir.
Par contre n'ayant pas bossée en NC, donc pas cotisée ds les caisses de la CAFAT ( sécu ) tu ne pourras pas prétendre au chomage !!
En fait, il faut relativiser. Tout n'est pas excessivement plus cher qu'en Métropole. C'est sûr que si tu as 1000.00 euros pas mois pour vivre, cela risque d'être dur et par contre si tu as 5 ou 6000 euros par mois, la situation est plus que viable.
Pour le reste, je ne vais répondre qu'à une seule de tes questions.
Concernant l'emploi en Nouvelle-Calédonie, priorité est donnée comme tu t'en doutes au locaux mais encore une fois, tout est relatif.
Si tu as des compétences professionnelles qui sont déficitaires localement, tu n'auras aucun problème por avoir un emploi et par contre si tu postules un poste de caissière, il est évident que tu pourras toujours attendre avant d'en obtenir un.
Oula...Alors nous ne gagnons carrément pas 6 000 €/mois ici en France .... Mais bon quand même plus de 1 000€/mois ....
Faudrait t-il alors prévoir un peu d'argent de côté ??

Un bac en métropole équivaut à un BTS en NC ? 1re nouvelle ! Il a exactement la même valeur, c'est à dire pas grand chose.
Quoique, je connais personnellement 1 bachelière et 1 bac + 3 qui travaillent pour le SMIG ! Alors oui, dans ce cas-là, bac = bts.
Et puis, BTS de quoi d'abord ?
Dans le secteur tertiaire, un BTS sans expérience démarrera au SMIG qui est de 945 €.
Dans le secteur technique, un BTS électro-technique ou génie civil peut espérer plus, environ 1600 €
Pour le chômage, je confirme que tu n'auras droit à rien, la caisse locale étant complètement indépendante de la sécu. métropolitaine.
Comme te l'a dit Phantom, priorité à l'emploi local mais une fois sur place, tout est question d'opportunité et de motivation.
La NC n'est pas un Dom ni un Tom, juste un territoire Français qui adapte les lois et le code du travail métropolitain aux spécificités du pays, pour résumer simplement.
Renseignes toi auprès de ta sécu avant de partir, il y a quand même un " partenariat " entre les 2 organismes, pour le remboursements des soins et hospitalisation.
Salaire d'une responsable de boutique...je suppose que cela dépend un peu des boutiques, du luxe, prêt à porter, hyper marché etc..mais bon, disons qu' il faudrait au minimum prétendre à 2500 eur ( presq 300 000 cfp )...ces places doivent se faire très rares.
si tu trouves un job a 1800, c'est déjà un début.
pour le reste, j'espère que d'autres se lanceront.

Elle sera à son arrivée ayant-droit de son mari qui sera salarié et bénéficiera de l'assurance maladie.
Une convention existe en effet entre la CAFAT et la Sécurité sociale pour les retraités ou pour les calédoniens résidant en métropole temporairement pour raison professionnelle.
Ca c'est pour la branche RUAMM ou maladie, pour les autres régimes (chômage, vieillesse, etc...), rien sans cotisations.
Voilà qui est parfaitement clair, je m'aperçois en te lisant que je le suis beaucoup et souvent moins dans mes commentaires. ( je fais allusion à un "partenariat", que tu expliques clairement ds ton post )
je pense que cela vient du fait que j'en ai un peu marre de répéter depuis 3 ans maintenant les mêmes choses, puis je me dis que les gens ont aussi leur part à apprendre sur le terrain.
