Hi there,

Starting November 27th, Air France will offer a new direct route between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Phuket, in the south of the Asian country. There will be 3 flights per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays from Paris, with returns on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays from Phuket. The flights will be operated using a Boeing 777-300ER equipped with 472 seats
Cordialement, Patrick.

Is the airline incognito? 😉

It seems Phuket is becoming unbearable with the traffic jams getting worse...

Hi! Haha, just fixed that. Yeah, it’s true that this island has become unbearable to get around—Russians and Indians flying in charter flights all day long, it’s really changed.
Cordialement, Patrick.

It’s true that Phuket is packed, but it’s super convenient as a landing base to explore the southern islands

Hi,

AF really needs to offer competitive fares against the Gulf airlines to fill all 472 seats. Not too much high-yield business traffic either, just a few well-off folks heading to resorts. I’m honestly surprised by this choice of new stopover 🙁. Twenty years ago, it would’ve made more sense, but now? Plus, AF has a partnership with Bangkok Airways for connections.

Hi there,

A lot of people are put off by making a more or less long stopover and prefer to pay more for a direct flight, but this flight will also be fed by its hub at CDG. To be continued...
Cordialement, Patrick.

Hi there,

I did a simulation for a round-trip flight CDG/HKT from Saturday, November 29, 2025 (flight at 11:45 AM) to Sunday, December 14, 2025 (flight at 1:20 PM) economy class for 1135 € with a 23 kg checked bag. Seat selection is extra.

Wow, that’s quite a bit... Pricing choice seems rather high, but maybe it’s adjustable depending on the fill rate?

Hello,

You can find them for around 600–700 € on Gulf airlines for those dates. The direct flight comes at a pretty steep price :(

Hello, Of course, everything’s possible to find a fare that works for everyone. Just go to the Air France website and enter your dates. But options will be pretty limited (3 flights per week). Several booking options are available: Flight without checked baggage Flight with checked baggage Flight with checked baggage and seat selection

Where to take grammar classes.

Speaking of Phuket, why not consider going there by elephant?
