Je pars en stage pendant deux mois dans une école d'enfants de parents mendiants a Sarnath à coté de Varanasi.
Quelqu'un connait-il bien le coin? J'aimerais avoir quelques conseils, quels sont les lieux à ne pas manquer ? Quels sont les dangers à éviter? Pouvons nous tout manger? Partir avec une trousse à pharmacie? Les vaccins à faire en priorité?
Et aussi combien de temps avez vous mis pour avoir votre visa? On m'a dit que je pouvais le prnedre directement à l'aéroport mais en lisant à droite et à gauche sur internet ca m'a l'air plutot compliqué...?
Je pars bientôt et le stress du départ commence à arriver, j'espère que vous ne trouverez pas mes questions trop stupides mais je voudrais juste être un peu guidée.

pour l'inde, il faut impérativement avoir son visa avant de partir. il n'est absolument pas possible de le faire à l'aéroport, comme par exemple pour le sri lanka ou le népal.
tu trouveras toutes les infos sur le blog d'un membre de VF, djoh... un blog très complet, je pense que tu sauras tout ce qu'il faut savoir en fouillant dedans... (je pense également que tu peux même t'adresser directement à lui sur ce forum...)
tu peux compter quelques semaines (en comptant large et sans te déplacer à paris, donc e faisant tout par internet, puis la poste). il est possible de le faire "en urgence", c'est à dire en quelques jours. pareil, toutes les infos sur le blog.
et dans les environs de varanasi... évidemment, il y a varanasi ! pour de l'incontournable, c'est de l'incontournable !!! et tu ne seras qu'à quelques dizaines de minutes en train... et il faut à mon avis y passer un petit moment pour s'imprégner de l'ambiance toute particulière qui y règne. vraiment unique !
sinon, il y a aussi bodh gaya, l'endroit où siddharta aurait atteint l'illumination (un peu plus de 2h de train de sarnath à gaya - ensuite, une douzaine de kilomètres de gaya à bodh gaya).
sinon, si tu as quelques jours de libre, tu peux faire un petit tour dans le bengale occidental, darjeeling, kolkata... le réseau ferré est suffisament bien foutu en inde, pour que, avec un peu de patience, on puisse se déplacer très facilement...

Ca c'était dans le cas où tu attendais plein de réponses pour voir si elles se contredisaient.
J'en ai profité pour voir le blog de djoh. Il est vrai qu'il est nickel pour ce qui concerne le VISA. Et si tu n'es pas trop loin de Paris, le plus rapide (2 à 3 jours) sera d'ailleurs d'aller chez VFS Global plutôt que le faire par correspondance

J'ai passé ma journée sur le site vfs pour le visa car on peut faire des demandes en ligne, a chaque fois ma session expirée avant la fin et là je suis bloquée je n'arrive pas à y retourner car mon numéro de passeport est dejà enregistré..
bref je pense que je ne suis pas tres douée, en plus c'est en anglais et j'ai un peu de mal...
Y'a t'il une solution plus simple ou je dois vraiment monter à Paris directement??
Si je monte à Paris il faut que j'emmene quels papiers? De toute facon si je vais a Paris ils ne me le feront pas en une seule journée??

J'avais eu également de nombreux soucis avec le site de VFS mais j'y étais finalement arrivé.
Si tu ne veux pas aller à Paris, tu as encore 2 solutions : il y a si je ne m'abuse des agences de VFS dans plusieurs villes de France. Je ne les ai plus en tête. Je me demande si ce n'est pas Marseille, Strasbourg et Lyon (à vérifier). Tu pourras y déposer ta demande, mais pas y retirer ton passeport (il te sera envoyé par courrier). sinon, tu peux passer par des organismes (par ex ActionsVisa, mais il y en a d'autres) qui s'occupent de tout (et là c'est par correspondance). C'est un peu plus cher (il faut bien qu'ils fassent payer ce service) et donc un peu plus long puisque tu ajoutes un intermédiaire.
Si tu vas à Paris tu ne l'auras pas dans la journée. En le déposant un matin, tu peux espérer l'avoir (en revenant le chercher) le surlendemain après-midi.
Mais est-ce que Djoh n'explique pas tout sur son site ?

Alors apres avoir téléphoné ce matin, VFS m'a expliqué comment retrouver mon dossier...
Maintenant que je peux apparement imprimer mon dossier je voudrais savoir quelques petites choses avant de l'envoyer....
Pour le visa tourisme (pour ne pas me louper la première fois) j'envoie par courrier à Paris:le formulaire rempli et signé sur internetune photocop de la page de données du passeport (Donc c'est bien la page avec la photo et les renseignement kil y a dessus?? )Deux photosLes frais de visa pour l'ambassade de l'inde + les frais pour VFS: Mais est ce que je peux faire un cheque? si oui, a quel ordre? et je peux en faire qu'un seul pour les deux?est ce qu'il faut envoyer son passeport aussi? dans ce cas a quoi ca sert d'envoyer la photocop des données du passeport??Avez-vous envoyer par un service poste plus protégé du genre chronopost? Y a t'il un risque d'envoi par la poste..?

Si tu n'envoies pas ton passeport, tu n'auras jamais de visa puisqu'il est apposé dessus. Ils veulent aussi une photocopie qu'ils comptent garder dans leurs dossiers et ils préfèrent que ce soit l'usager qui fasse la photocopie plutôt qu'eux.

J'aurai du mal à te donner de bons conseils à ce sujet. Je suis du genre très peureux (ou prudent, ou réaliste ? 😛) et je déteste les envois par courrier et moi je vais directement chez VFS.
Mais des milliers (millions ?) de personnes font faire leur visa par correspondance et je ne pense pas qu'il y ait beaucoup de pertes. Les post d'inquiétude que tu trouveras sur ce site concernent plutôt les délais de retour (les personnes s'inquiètent de savoir si elles recevront bien leur passeport - et donc leur visa - à temps.
PS : C'est indiscret de savoir dans quelle ville tu habites ? Car inquiète comme tu es, peut-être aurais-tu intérêt à aller directement déposer ton dossier. Tu pourras poser des questions complémentaires, tu seras certaine que ton dossier a bien été pris en compte et qu'il était complet.
