J'ai un bac+5 en Informatique, je travaille depuis plus de 2 ans dans une SSII (société de service informatique) sur Lyon. Je ne pense pas avoir le travail le plus désagréable (condition + salaire) mais je ne suis pas certain d'avoir réellement trouvé ma voie.
J'ai un désir très fort d'apprendre l'anglais d'un point de vue personnel. Le 2ème point, mais qui n'est pas l'enjeu principal, est le fait que cette compétence pourra m'apporter également des opportunités dans mon travail à l'avenir et peut être pourquoi pas me permettre d'atteindre des postes plus intéressants voir dévier vers une branche qui me conviendrai plus.
Cette envie d'apprendre l'anglais, se lie petit à petit vers un point qui me semble indispensable et nécessaire pour accomplir cette tâche : partir à l'étranger.
J'aimerais partir vers quelque chose de dépaysant d'un point de vue culture et décor mais restant anglophone évidemment. Mon rêve : USA, Canada, Australie, Nouvelle Zélande. (Pas intéressé pas l'Angleterre ou l'immersion ne serait pas assez forte car trop proche de la France).
Aujourd'hui j'ai un niveau d'anglais intermédiaire (bac+5 + efforts personnels : regarde film en vo st anglais + livre en vo depuis 5 ans), j'ai une bonne compréhension mais possède un manque assez falgrant de pratique en expression oral.
Je regrette grandement d'avoir manquer l'opportunité de partir durant mes études et j'ai l'impression d'avoir louper ma chance.
Au final je cherche une façon de réaliser ce rêve mais j'ai l'impression d'être dans une impasse :
- Reprendre des études semblent complexe (surtout lorsqu'il y a un désir d'échange avec l'étranger) et chèr(peu de possibilité de bourses ou d'aides dans ma condition).
- Partir travailler et trouver un job dans mon domaine : Au final pourquoi une entreprise miserai sur moi ( frais administratifs lourds + lacunes de communication dans les 1er mois qu'un natif n'aura pas).
- Trouver une entreprise française qui pourrait m'offrir des opportunités à l'étranger (vie, expat...) ( frais administratifs lourds + lacunes de communication dans les 1er mois qu'un natif n'aura pas).
J'aimerais vraiment pourvoir reprendre mes études, ne serait ce qu'un an, histoire de profiter d'un échange mais je ne vois vraiment pas comment faire.
Est ce que vous avez déjà été confronté à cette situation ou similaire ? Est ce que vous voyez des solutions, alternatives ? Des organismes vers qui m'orienter ?
Bref, n'importe quel élément qui pourrait m'aiguiller serait vraiment apprécié.
il n'est amais trop tard pour entreprendre quelqe chose : étrangement tu ne listes que les points négatifs "voilà pourquoi ça ne marchera pas…" je te conseille un exercie contraire : lister les points positifs : "voilà pourquoi ça marchera"…
concrètement, je suis actuellement en congé sabatique "pour convenances personnelles"; tout salarié y a droit. par contre il faut avoir travaillé un certain nombre de temps. Si tu tapes ces mots dans un moteur de recherche tu trouveras plein d'infos et de conseils pratiques, administratifs. Mieux tu es préparé et mieux cela se passera. (en ce moment, je suis à l'étranger pour 5 mois grâce un congé sabatique de ce type là); j'ai pris ma décision, un an avant de partir et j'ai préparé mon départ : économie, papiers et paperasses, petit travail d'appoint, projet personnel (très très important), logement…
Pour l'anglais, tu peux commencer durant tes congés d'été à faire ce qui s'appelle des "cours d'été" dans un pays anglophone. Les universités, des écoles privées en font. Ce sont des cours intensifs pour tous les niveaux, avec des activités culturelles annexes l'après-midi et le soir; ce sont des vacances agréables et toujours très sympa car on rencontre des gens du monde entier. Tu peux te renseigner dans des british council ou sur internet "summer class for english".
Dis-toi que beaucoup de choses sont possibles dans la vie et qu'il ne faut pas avoir peur du changement; Bonne chance à toi, en espérant que ces quelques lignes pourront t'aider;
En effet si tu as le droit a un congé sabatique, profites-en, c'est l'avantage de pouvori retrouver un taff en rentrant.
Cela dit, avec deja 2 ans d'expérience tu n'es plus un débutant et il est facile de trouver un job, en france ou meme dans des pays anglophones.
Au canada, en Australie ou en NZ il existe les working holydays visa qui te permettent de rester un an sur le territoire et d'y travailler... mais bon si tu as des économies tu n'a peut etre meme pas besoin de travailler! et juste profiter en voyageant!
A mon avis pour les études, avec un bac+5 tu n'a pas besoin de faire plus, sauf si tu veux te spécialiser dans un domaine particulier ou reprendre une autre formation. Mais il est vrai que faire des études à l'étranger peu apporter un plus sur ton CV et aussi te permet de faire de nombreuses rencontres et ainsi améliorer ton anglais.
Il faut que tu vois quelles sont tes priorités : si tu souhaites améliorer tes compétences ou alors si tu veux réaliser un rêve de découverte d'un autre pays/environnement... même si l'un ne t'empechera pas de faire l'autre.
Un congé sabbatique nécessite au moins 6 ans d'expérience mais bon je pense que 1 d'expérience pour apprendre l'anglais pourra n'être que bénéfique pour retrouver un emploi.
Je pense effectivement que le working holydays visa est bonne opportunité. Je me dit que je peux y aller en prenant un petit job sans qualification nécessaire et une fois sur place après avoir baigné dans la langue pourquoi pas postuler pour des job plus qualifié en rapport avec mon diplôme.
Si tu as de bonnes bases en anglais (tu as peut etre du passer le TOEIC pour ton diplome d'ingénieur, a partir de 650-700 points c'est pas mal) je pense que tu peux meme te dispenser de passer par un job sans qualifications. D'autant plus avec un bac+5!
Un peu d'immersion suffit, trouver une colocation est en général ce que je conseille le plus car c'est un moyen de rencontrer très très rapidement des 10zaines de personnes.
Pour ma part je repars en Australie en Juin avec le WHV et je compte bien trouver directement quelque chose qui colle avec mes compétences!
Et qui sait peut etre qu'une boite voudra te faire rester en te sponsorisant pour un visa longue durée! et là c'est tout benef!
