Je me présente, je suis Vincent, j'ai 24 ans et futur papa.
J'écris car j'ai besoin de renseignements concernant la République Dominicaine.
En effet avec ma compagne nous avons étudier la question et nous voudrions partir vivre à l'étranger dans environ 1an et demi - 2 ans.
Je travail beaucoup et je suis souvent en déplacements. Etant donné que nous allons avoir un enfant, nous aimerions pouvoir en profité pleinement et pas entre deux déplacements.
Les questions que je me pause sont:
Quel ville ou région la mieux adaptée avec un enfant petit (environ 2 ans)? Le Hôpitaux, Les écoles, les commerces?
Nous avons la chance d'avoir construit une belle maison donc nous pouvons la revendre.
Combien en euros faut t-il par mois pour vivre correctement mais simplement en République Dominicaine? (En vivant comme tout le monde).
Combien coûte environ une location d'une petite maison? (Meublé, avec un minimum de confort)
Est t-il difficile de s'adapter au pays, au coutumes, au gens? J'ai entendus dire que les Dominicains étaient très avenant.

Tu penses partir à 25 ans et ne pas travailler là bas ?
J'ai pas vu ta maison, mais ça m'étonnerait qu'elle soit suffisamment grande pour vous faire vivre à 3 jusqu'à la fin des temps.
A mon avis, la 1ère chose à voir c'est où tu peux travailler pour gagner ta vie. Quant à la maison, pourquoi ne pas l'envisager plutôt comme un investissement que vous pourriez louer et qui vous rapporterait déjà un peu d'argent tous les mois ?
PS: de plus, sache que tu ne pourras vacciner ton enfant avant 2 ans, 2 ans et demi pour aller en Rép. Dom., à moins que tu décides de partir sans le faire vacciner 🤪
J'ai une grande maison de 180 mètres dans un très beau cadre dans le sud. Je pense vivre avec les intérêts de la revente mais pas seulement bien sûr. Je voudrai ouvrir un petit commerce là bas. J'ai une entreprise de communication donc peut être continuer dans la création publicitaire entre la France et la RD (si je trouve une connexion internet suffisante). Sinon un petit commerce genre Resto, ou boutique souvenir etc...
C'est un projet qui n'est pas pressé, je ne suis pas à 1 ou 2 ans près mais je préfère me renseigner avant car c'est une décision importante qui nécessite du temps à mettre en place. Nous allons partir plusieurs fois en République Dominicaine (pas dans les Hôtels) pour se faire véritablement une idée de la vie, des coutumes du pays, de la population.
Nous voulons vivre plus tranquillement qu'en France mais pas comme des riches.
Pour le moments j’essaie de me renseigner sur les régions, les villes de la RD. Je veux éviter les endroit comme Punta ou les touristes atterrissent en masse et ne sortent pas de leur Hôtel!
On m'a parlé de Puerto Plata. Je sais qu'il y tout le nécessaire au niveau des écoles, cliniques, commerce. Tu connais cette ville?
Je suis allée une fois à Puerto Plata, mais je peux pas vraiment dire que je connaisse.
Une jolie région de RD c'est la péninsule de Samana. Mais le soucis c'est que si tu prends un village comme Las Terrenas par exemple, il y a une vrai colonie de Français et d'Italiens. Alors si tu cherches du dépaysement, c'est foutu 🤪
Question administratif, bcp de choses se passent à la capitale. C'est bon à savoir car parfois tu dois perdre une journée juste pour aller chercher un papier ou faire apposer un timbre sur un autre.
Le mieux pour connaître un peu le pays c'est d'y partir en dehors des tout-inclus et se mêler autant que possible à la vie locale.
Ne pas se méprendre, le niveau de vie en RD n'est pas si bon marché que cela.
C'est super ton projet, je ne sais pas trop pourquoi tu as choisi la république dominicaine mais bon.
Il se trouve que moi aussi je l'ai choisi l'an passé, je suis parti en Novembre 2010, j'ai racheté un Bar sur la péninsule de Samana, c'est une région magnifique avec des tas de choses a développer, c'est un peu un paradis, si l'on s'accorde évidement a beaucoup de prudence.
Lorsque l'on arrive sur une île avec une autre langue et une autre façon de voir les choses que la notre, il est très facile de se faire avoir. Beaucoup de connaissance que j'ai sur place, des expatriés français, espagnols, italiens ou québécois ont plus perdu que le peu qu'il s'attendait a gagner...
Je t'encourage a y aller mais je veux juste t'avertir qu'il ne faut être crédule dans un pays ou la grande parti du peuple vit avec 70euros par mois, les arnaques sont aussi courantes que l'eau chez nous ;)
Sinon je te conseille toute la partie nord de la république dominicaine qui est a la fois la plus préserver et suffisamment active pour trouver a peu tout ce que l'on a besoin, un bel équilibre.
Pour une chambre hôtel premier prix mais correct en dehors des complexes touristiques bien sur, il faudra compter entre 700 et 1200 pesos la nuit, soit 14 à 24 euros. Pour une location entre 8000 et 13000 pesos pour un appart avec 3 chambres ou un petite maison vu mer bien sur ;) 160 a 260 euros par mois ( attention sans le standing a la francçaise, c'est plus rustique dans ces prix la, mais correct).

Je vais partir prochainement en RD environs 10 jours. J'avais idée d'aller à Puerto Plata. Tu connais cette ville.
Des amis à moi on vécu 1 an à Las Terrenas. Pas très loin de là ou tu vis je crois.
J'aimerai moi aussi monter un petit commerce par la suite. J’espère que tout se passe bien pour toi là bas, que ton bar marche bien.

Tout d'abord quel endroit est le mieux adapté pour vivre avec un enfant en basage. On m'a beaucoup parlé de Las Terrenas car mon grand oncle et sa femme y ont vécu environs 1 an avant de revenir en France. Je me suis un peu renseigné sur Puerto Plata car je sais que c'est une ville avec tous ce qu'il faut pour les besoins courant, Médecins, commerce, école etc...
Tu connaît cette ville?
Les locations d'appartements sur les sites internet sont hors de prix je trouv🤪e. Sur place est-ce plus accessible?
Personnellement j'ai 2 coups de cœur.... Cabarete pres de sosua et Las Terrenas où j'y ai vécu aux 2 endroits...
Si tu viens de la France je te suggère fortement Las Terrenas car il y a plein de petits café à l'européenne les gens sont français et aiment vivre ici sans le stress de l'europe ou l'amérique ...mais les appartements sont dispendieux à Las Terrenas mais tout se négocie... si jamais tu voulais aller à Cabarete ou puerto plata, j'aurais une opportunité, car j'ai des bars à sourires que j'ouvre un peu partout sur la rep. dom... remarques que j'ai un bar à sourire clé en main à Las Terrenas pour $20 000 ( 15 000 euros)
Pour ce qui est de médecin ici ca va, vous devez prendre une assurance maladie qui reviens à environ $20/mois... la nourriture en générale est 2 X moins cher qu'au Canada... mais il ne faut pas acheter de produit importé car dans ce cas c'est le double de chez nous...
Tu verras la rep. dom. est un pays magnifique... on apprend à vivre vraiment sa vie .

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
