Je suis étudiant Français, je vais réaliser un stage de 3 mois (juin à août 2012) dans une entreprise à Saint-Jean sur Richelieu. Je recherche actuellement une location meublée. J'aurais aimé louer sur Montréal, car je souhaite pouvoir visiter le soir, le week-end... mais je me demande si Montréal n'est pas trop éloigné de Saint-jean sur Richelieu: existe-t-il des transports réguliers?quelle serait la durée, le tarif? est-ce réellement pratique pour aller travailler ou vaudrait-il mieux que je cherche un logement sur Saint-Jean sur Richelieu ou d'autres villes?
Je ne pense pas que ce soit bien réaliste de loger à Montréal alors que votre travail est à St-Jean. En voiture, il vous faudra au moins 45 minutes de déplacement, s'il n'y a pas de traffic, et si vous habitez près d'un pont. De plus, je pense pense pas qu'il y ait du transport en commun entre St-Jean et Montréal pour les heures qui vous conviennent. Selon ce que j'ai trouvé, le transport se fait de St-Jean vers Montréal le matin, et à l'inverse le soir.
Vous serez beaucoup mieux à St-Jean, paierez beaucoup moins cher de loyer et vous pourrez venir visiter Montréal la fin de semaine.
Tout comme Gigi je te recommande de loger à St-Jean et de visiter Montréal durant les weeks-end. La circulation routière actuellement est un réel problème à Montréal.

1e. Informe-toi auprès de la compagnie (via le service du personnel ou service des ressources humaines ou mieux auprès du responsable des stages) s'il y a une personne dans l'entreprise qui habite Montréal et qui peut te prendre en voiture (covoiturage): c'est la solution idéale.
2e. Il y a du transport en commun entre St-Jean et Mtl. Tu trouveras des infos sur le site:

3e. Habiter à St-Jean...tu devrais facilement trouver une personne qui pourrait te transporter en automobile.
Entre 2 et 3, je choisis 3 (pcq 2 implique te lever tôt "plutôt tôt-tôt"!) quitte à partir après ton travail te divertir à Mtl (vois les horaires des bus car je ne sais pas à quelle heure est le dernier bus en fin de soirée).
Dis-moi le nom de l'entreprise où tu feras ton stage, je pourrai peut-être te renseigner davantage.

Merci à tous pour vos réponses qui m'ont grandement aidé. Je pense donc que je vais suivre vos conseils et essayer de trouver un logement meublé sur St Jean. Lors de mes recherches de logement meublé il y avait plutôt du choix sur Montréal, mais pas tellement sur St Jean... Connaitriez-vous des sites internet ou des particuliers qui en proposent?
Effectivement 33 est le code de pays pour la France, mais également le code du département !! :)
L'entreprise se situe près de la rue St Charles et pas très loin du quai.
Vois le site du: lecanadafrancais.....petites annonces....à louer
Donc le lieu de ton stage est dans le centre-ville de Saint-Jean, (dans le "vieux" ou le "vieux-st-jean" comme disent les jeunes!!!) près de la rivière.
Les logements dans les secteurs de St-Luc et d'Iberville (autre côté de la rivière) peuvent être éloignés de ton travail.
Si besoin d'autres inforrmations, n'hésite pas.

Je demeure à Montréal et St-Jean sur Richelieu est à environ 30 minutes en voiture. C'est une toute petite ville et il y a beaucoup de travailleurs qui font la navette tous les matins. L'inverse est plus rare. Je pourrais me renseigner sur les bus. Normalement il y a des bus. C'est de connaître l'horaire. Je pourrais m'informer pour toi car tu as raison, ce ne serait pas intéressant de venir faire un stage au Qc sans vivre à Montréal. Aussi, je partage régulièrement mon appartement avec des étudiants étrangers, tu pourrais visiter là où j'habite. C'est le quartier que l'on dit branché, situé en face d'un grand parc près du Centre-ville. On l'appelle le Plateau Mont-Royal. Tout près de chez moi il y a la rue Saint-Denis avec ses cafés-terrasses. En été, Montréal est magnifique. Fin juin, c'est le grand festival du Jazz.

Ce qui est contenu entre les deux voies ferrées (rue Foch d'un côté et rue St-Georges de l'autre) et depuis la rivière ou la rue Richelieu jusqu'au boulevard du Séminaire est plutôt vieillot mais tu es plus près de l'action.
As-tu un plan de la ville? Si non, je peux t'en poster un.

Merci pour ces renseignements! Je veux bien avoir plus d'informations par rapport au bus, malgré que je pense que ça peut-être difficile. Pour les horaires mon travail commence à 9h et se termine à 17h. En fonction de mes avancées dans mes recherches de logements je vous recontacterai sur votre courriel!

J'ai envoyé les renseignements concernant les horaires de Mtl à St-Jean. Il faut se rendre à la gare Central. En quinze minutes, c'est fait car près de chez moi. Ensuite il faut prendre le bus. Il y a des bus express et des locaux. 45 m en Express. ¨Ca prendrait une heure pour l'allée et pareil pour le retour chose. Faut y ajouter le transport du terminus d'autobus Mtl-St-J au centre-ville de St-Jean.
Ce dernier est situé passablement loin du c-v où il fera son stage.

Alors ce sera plus long. Il serait mieux d'y loger. À moins qu'il puisse se véhiculer. Il y a la moto qui coûte pas peu ou le co-voiturage. Beaucoup viendront faire leur stage à St-Jean à ce que j'ai pu lire sur VF.

Je vous remercie d'avoir fait des démarches et de m'aider pour ce stage. Après plusieurs contacts et recherches d'appartements sur St Jean, il m'est difficile d'en trouver. Je pense donc que je vais accepter un autre stage situé à Montréal, où il y aurait un logement possible près de mon lieu de stage. If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
