salut tout le monde j'aimerais avoir une idée sur le salaire minimum(par mois) qu'il ne faut pas tomber en dessous pour pouvoir vivre et se dévertir un peu a montreal(pour une seule personne)? et je parle ici de pouvoir payer le loyer(500dollars maximum) + factures(électricité, chauffage, cable, internet..) + nourriture(a la maison car je cuisine tout seul) + transport public + un peu de divertissement(les weekends:cinéma, restaurant...) + s'il y'a d'autres frais que je ne connais pas.

La bouffe, 100$ me semble peu quand même, surtout avec les prix des produits de base qui augmente...Mais pour une personne seule oui, ça peut être autour de 400$ par mois.
N'oubliez pas de prévoir un budget pour l'achat de vêtements chauds (manteau de qualité, bottes, foulards, gants, tuques...) disons 400$.
Avec le salaire minimum, faut pas s'attendre à des folies, gagner 8, 50 $ de l'heure, en bossant 40 heures semaine, ça donne 1360$ par mois, sans les déductions fiscales mensuelles. C'est un train de vie très limité qui vous attend.

Honnêtement, la façon idéale pour ne pas jeter son argent par les fenêtres en payant inutilement du loyer, c'est de trouver des colocataires! Personnellement, je gagne 1400$ net par mois et j'arrive très bien en payant le loyer moitié/moitié avec quelqu'un d'autre. Mon épicerie me coûte 50$ par semaine environ. Si tu es à Montréal, le transport en commun est la meilleure solution. Il y a aussi des annonces de petits boulots partout, c'est pas sorcier à trouver!

oui, salut. je pense que tu devrais abandonner l'idée de partir en polynésie et de faire un voyage a Montréal pour poser tes jalons. faire des investigations etc... Ce n'est que comme ça que tu trouveras si tu le veux vraiement.
ensuite, des employés de banques (conseillers financiers) il y en a partout. Tu devras parler anglais obligatoirement, n'oublie pas que si le Quebec à un identité Francophone il sagit du Canada (officiellement soit dit en passant) et que les affaires se traitent en Anglais généralement. surtout bancaires.
pour ce qui est de Montréal, c'est une ville magique pleine de belles choses, les québécois sont superbes, mais il ne faut pas rester entièrement français.... il faut partager la vie. peu importe le quartier, de toute façon tu le choisiras en fonction de ton salaire, au fur et a mesure qu'il grandira, tu te rapprocheras de westmont......et la rive sud (longueil, st lambert) sont agréables....j'y ai habité.
bye penses que les vacances ce n'est pas 5 semaines, 10 jours ou 15 si tu négocie, et pas de 35 h.
mais quelle importance...... le bonheur c'est de profiter de ce beau pays, les WE l'hiver a st sauveur et autre dans les laurentides, les lacs, les us a proximité, HW 87, que du bonheur...

Je viens de trouver un emploi à Montreal pendant 18 mois, depart en janvier. Je serais payer en euros 1700 euros par mois. Mon conjoint vient avec moi et dans un premier temps je serait la seule à travailler. Est suffisant pour vivre à 2 à Montreal tout en sachant que nous aimerions prendre un appartement avec 2 chambres dans le centre ville.

Oui, ça devrait suffire amplement pour 2 personnes.
Mais pourquoi choisir d'aller vivre au centre-ville? C'est beaucoup plus cher, et pas forcément mieux...il y a plusieurs quartiers bcp mieux pour habiter, avec tous les services et les transports en commun, à proximité du centre-ville...
C'est une erreur que font beaucoup d'étrangers, de s'installer au centre-ville.

Je serai effectivement payer en euros car je suis embauchée initialement par la société française et non la filiale.
Pour le lieu de résidence j'ai regardé les différents post et j'ai noté les quartiers suivant : le plateau, rosemont, petite prairie ou verdun. Après je pense que l'on verra directement sur place pour faire notre choix. Nous ne connaissons pas Montreal et les choses se sont faite très rapidement pour moi au niveau professionnel.
Le + dur sera l'adaptation (vie, culture, température!!!) nous arrivons en janvier et apparement c'est le mois le + froid!
Si tu as d'autres conseils sur les lieux de résidence ou encore pr le boulot je suis prenneuse.
Pour moi c'est reglé mais pas pour mon conjoint, il cherchera sur place (je ne me fais pas trop de souci : diplomé et bilingue). enfin j'espere que ca ira!!
Ton salaire est alors vraiment suffisamment pour vivre à Montréal!
Les quartiers que vous nommez sont de bons choix (peut-être un peu moins Verdun...).
Oui, janvier est un mois très très froid 🙁 et il fait noir vraiment tôt vers (vers 17h). Il faut juste s'habiller très chaudement quand on sort! Mais à l'intérieur aucun problème, partout c'est toujours bien chauffé (parfois trop...). Mais la bonne nouvelle c'est que...ça ne dure pas! En mars il fait déjà moins froid et les journées sont déjà pas mal plus longues! Si vous faites quelques sports d'hiver vous allez aimer ça!
Pour la vie et la culture, bien vous verrez une fois sur place, Montréal est une ville BEAUCOUP moins stressante que Paris, et ce ne ne sont pas les endroits qui manquent pour socialiser!

salut! j'habite montréal présentement mais je vais quitter en janvier 2009 pour l'ouest canadien.j'ai un appartement que je partage avec une colocataire géniale et j'aimerais louer ma chambre pour un minumum de 6 mois. Si cela t'intéresse laisse le moi savoir ...le cout est de 420$/mois tout inclus et même meublé si tu le désires. il y a tout à proximité (transport en commun, épicerie, marchés, parcs...) c'est dans le cartier villeray .!
pour ma part, je crois qu'avec 1500$ / mois tu pourrais vivre aisément à Montréal tout dépendant du rythme de vie que tu souhaites !
