Hi there, It really depends on what you're looking for and your budget too... Hard to put myself in your shoes! You’ll probably get lots of different opinions. My pick would be a flight to Antananarivo, then a domestic flight to Île Sainte-Marie... and a few days on Île aux Nattes. It’s got everything: emerald sea, beautiful beaches, amazing food (lobster, mantis shrimp, grilled zebu ribs, and even foie gras and wine), wild nature, a coral reef in great condition with plenty of fish, and best of all—no overtourism yet! 😊

hi there in Martinique, Mauritius might end up costing more than going to Cancun or Punta Cana

I think for a tourist, the cost of living is higher in Cancun and generally along the entire Quintana Roo coast (or Riviera Maya) than in Mauritius.

Hello, thank you! In your opinion, is rain on the agenda during this period?

Hi there! Thanks! From what you’ve heard, is rain a thing in October? I thought I read that on some sites.

hi there, for Cancun every time I’ve been there it’s been sunny. But you can’t guarantee it. If you go, it’s obvious that if you head to the "hotel zone" it’s more expensive than downtown.

October/November are very pleasant on the east coast of Madagascar, from Tamatave to Île Sainte-Marie. Rain showers are often brief. Temperatures range between 23°C and 26°C. You might still spot whales, but it’s hit-or-miss after September. It’s a plus because the tourists will have left. PS: If you’re a mushroom lover, you can find chanterelles in Madagascar! And when it comes to food (obviously not in the middle of nowhere!), Madagascar remains my number one country for its cuisine (great restaurants): game, crayfish, zebu meat, duck (and foie gras!), seafood, lobsters, varied fish, mushrooms, white wine (the red isn’t great).
