Hi there, After our first trip ten years ago, we’d love to return to Cuba in February 2026 to explore the eastern part this time. With only about twelve days, we’re ruling out traveling hundreds of kilometers from Havana, but finding a flight to Santiago de Cuba or Holguín from Paris is proving to be a real challenge. If anyone has any tips, advice, or opinions, I’d be so grateful! Thanks in advance, Joséphine.

Good evening,

Use Google Flights for your searches, then book directly on the airline’s website.

For Holguín via Canada (3h in Montreal), but with a not-so-great return schedule (15h in Quebec), why not? And don’t forget the eTA to comply with Canadian authorities.

Hi! I went to Cuba in May 2025. During my prep, just like you, I wanted to take a flight to the east. I quickly got disillusioned—there’s only one flight a week from Havana to Santiago de Cuba with Cubana. In the end, I used Viazul buses and collectivos. Just so you know, everything is super chaotic now—even the Viazul buses (which are expensive) for tourists don’t run every day. Gas shortages, internet barely works, constant power outages… Despite all that, I loved my trip, but I was mentally prepared for all these potential issues. Good evening
