Quelqu'un peut-il me donner son avis personnel quant à l'Iberostar Costa Dorada, de Puerto Plata ?

Ns y avons séjourné en novembre 05 et je recommande vivement cet hôtel
tant par la qualité du service et qualité en générale, la gentilesse du personnel
un seul bémol éviter le block/chambres à coté du théatre/show si vs voulez vs coucher tôt... mais les vacances sont faites pour profiter des activités de A à Z
Si ns devions repartir ds le nord de la RD sans hésitation le Costa Dorada
Nous sommes des adeptes de l'iberostar Costa Dorada. Ça fait 3 année de file que nous y allons pour 2 semaines en novembre. Nous, on est satisfait sur toute la ligne. Le seul hic, ça peut être la plage(pas le sable blanc et moin turquoise) mais pour nous ce n'est pas notre priorité. Si tu veux plus d'info.(excursions, place de magasinage, discothèque de la place, ville de puerto plata), n'hésite pas à m'écrire et pose-moi tes questions!

Nous hésitions entre le confort de Puerto Plata et celui de Punta Cana pour un dernier séjour Dominicain, en mars 2007 (= le printemps Dominicain).
Notre choix a été fait hier matin, dicté par les dispobibilités de places en Star Classe de Martinair, les rares places confortables chez un T.O Belge.
Je reste dans un Iberostar, mais à Punta Cana: ( Iberostar Dominicana). C'est pas plus mal: j'avais volontairement exclu cette destination de ma découverte Dominicaine jusqu'à, présent.Nous irons donc finalement jouïr béatement du sable vraiment blanc et de la mer vraiment turquoise et faire une infidélité à la Costa del Ambar, que nous aimions tant.

Par contre, je ne connais pas l'Iberostar, .
J'irai le découvrir, fin février/mars 2007 à Punta Cana.

Je suis allé passer deux semaines à l'Iberostar Costa Dorada du 26/02/08 au 11/03/08. Excellent hôtel, chambre magnifique et spacieuse (Junior suite - bloc 5 en bordure de plage face à la mer et très calme) - cuisine excellente, personnel très avenant et souriant, programme d'animation très varié, nourriture excellente (buffets raffinés) et restos Mexicain et brésilien à visiter! Un très bon séjour - Juste un petit bémol: la plage moins belle que Punta Cana et Bayahibe car envahie par les algues - Mer assez agitée (normal océan atlantique) et beaucoup de vent l'après-midi /
Voilà ce que je peux retirer de ce voyage.

Dis-moi, cependant : aurais-tu attrappé la maladie des cocottes qui dénoncent les algues au bord des plages trop blondes au lieu d'être d'une blancheur immaculée ( tu sais:.. comme celles de Punta Cana ?)
Que je sache, ces algues-lorsqu'elle sont rejetées sur la plage, sont scrupuleusement ramassées chaque matin par le personnel des hôtels !
Si, par contre tu parles des algues qui encombreraient exagérement le fond de la mer, près de la plage, je comprendrais que la pollution s'aggraverait à cet endroit, ce qui ne serait pas étonnant, étant donnée la proximité de la Ville de Puerto plata, contigüe.

Et bien effectivement, ces algues sont ramassées chaque matin par du personnel de l'hôtel.... Parfois, un engin mécanisé est même utilisé mais généralement ils procédent au nettoyage àl'aide de rateaux!
Il n'y a rien à dire quant à l'entretien de ce resort qui est d'une propreté exemplaire; tout est nickel en permanence - Je parlais bien des algues qui sont rejetées quotidiennement sur la plage.... Ce qui est assez paradoxal c'est que cela se situe juste à hauteur de l'Iberostar et du Grand Oasis Maurien, le reste de la baie est épargné par ce phénomène.............

For my husband's 50th birthday, we're going to Mombasa for 10 days and 8 nights in March 2026.
I found a hotel, the Kappa Club Crystal Bay Resort, and online reviews for this hotel recommend a guide named Omar. I contacted him via WhatsApp, and he's offering a 2-day, 1-night safari in Tsavo East, a "blue safari," and a Marafa Canyon day trip for 400 € per person.
I’m asking for help from people who’ve already done these excursions because I have no idea what these offers entail.

Can anyone recommend 5 or 6 hotel names that meet the following criteria? (I’m not too picky, lol)

2. Adults-only
3. Beautiful beach and pool
4. Hotel for relaxing (no "factory hotels")
5. One-week stay in February 2026
6. A nice hotel (3 or 4 stars) but no need for an ultra-palace
Oh, and I almost forgot the main thing 😉: budget between 3500 € and 4000 € for two, including flights from Montreal-Mexico-Montreal.

Hi there, I’m a 43-year-old woman planning to travel solo in early March. I’m not really into "commercial resorts," but if I find a place that fits my criteria, I might be interested. To add to the info in the title, I’m open to various activities, but ideally, it’d include snorkeling, hiking, dance (every evening if possible!), group tours, etc. I’d love to meet people (not necessarily a man—just people in general!). I’m not necessarily aiming for the cheapest resort, but since it’s spring break week and everything’s already pricier, 5-star options are probably out of the question. Thanks!

We’ll be in Venice from March 20th to 24th, and I’m looking (for two couples) for a hotel close to St. Mark’s Square—my husband can’t walk long distances. For four nights with breakfast, our budget is around 1,400 € per couple. To avoid too much walking for him, I’d also prefer a hotel where we could potentially eat dinner in the evenings.

You can’t pay online there—you just submit a reservation request (enquiry).
The second is the NWR (Namibia Wildlife Resorts) site: https://www.nwr.com.na, where you *can* pay online.
Is the latter one reliable?

Bonjour nous arriverons dimanche 5 mai ( à partir de 16h25) à l'aéroport de Punta Cana pour profiter d'un séjour que mon amie à gagner à l’hôtel Gran Bahia Principe La Romana.
L'avion est offert par la compagnie aérienne, l'hôtel je pense par la chaine hôtelière, mais aujourd'hui je m’inquiète du transfert car aucune info et j'apprends que rien n'est prévu.
D’après ce que j'ai vu le dernier car expreso part de Punta Cana à 16h00
Y-a t'il d'autres moyens de transports collectif (guagua) qui puisse faire le trajet ou au moins nous avancer jusqu'à La Romana ou San Pedro de Marcoris et je pense qu'on finira le trajet en taxi.
Si c'est trop compliqué ça sera navette privée mais on est plus "lonely planet " que navette privée et hôtel tout inclus.
