Je voudrai bien les amener a Mui né pour les dunes de sable mais la encore quel est le trajet et par quel voie ( train, bus .. ) .(moi jetais parti avec tour operateur sinhcafé a lepoque mais parait que cela s'est degradé et quil y en a d autres tout aussi bien )

Commencer par vérifier la météo dans le sud du Vietnam une fois que vous êtes en Malaisie ; en effet, juillet et août sont les 2 mois de mousson dans le sud du Vietnam, donc souvent pluies diluviennes au point que ceratins hotels de Phu Quoc ferment leurs portes pendant ces deux mois. Allez plutôt dans le Nord (Hanoi, Along et les montagnes). Pas besoin de prévoir à l'avance.

Attention les dunes de sable de Muine ont du bien changer depuis votre dernier séjour en 2009, très touristique, et pas très joli au final - et un peu cracra - Je vous conseille plutôt d’aller aux autres dunes, celles qui sont plus loin, et qu’on appelle les dunes de sable blanc, pres d’une piece d’eau couverte de nénuphar. Comme c’est plus loin, c’est plus tranquille, il y a moins de monde.
Vous pouvez également faire la balade appelée “FAIRY STREAM”, assez sympa, dans un paysage qui rappelle un mini Colorado, en latérite toute rouge. Sinon encore une fois Muine a du bien changer depuis 2009.... Bcp de russes sont passés par là, les menus dans les restaurants sont en russe... bcp de boutiques ont été abandonnées. La ville en elle meme est un peu moche.
Une autre balade sympa à faire avec des enfants est l'ascension du Mont Takou en haut duquel on trouve un bouddha couché. NHA TRANG, bof. je ne suis pas fan - Beaucoup de russes et plage grande mais pas très "cosy". Si vous avez un peu de temps préférez le DELTA DU MEKONG, plus typique, plus vert, et pas trop loin de Saigon avec la "nouvelle" route: Ben Tre, Vinh Long, MyTho, etc... ARTINUS 3D dans le quartier 7, on m’en a parlé mais je n’y suis jamais allee. Apparemment plutôt sympa pour faire des photos souvenirs que pour le côté vraiment artistique du lieu. Mais avec des enfants ca peut être sympa!
LE MATIN: Activité très sympa a faire avec des enfants s’ils ne sont pas trop jeunes pour marcher: une balade / chasse au trésor / investigation dans le quartier chinois (Urban Tales Cholon) Ca démarre le matin vers 8h30, dans le quartier chinois (District 5), on visite une scène de crime dans un vieil appartement typique et on vous remet ensuite des indices et un petit livret qui vont vous permettre de trouver le meurtrier, en suivant un itinéraire et en vous promenant dans le quartier chinois. Ils peuvent mettre à disposition des cyclos pour les enfants s'ils ont du mal a suivre. Chouette activité à faire en famille qui dure la matinée.
LE SOIR: a ne pas manquer le spectacle quia lieu à l’Opera tous les soirs à 18h, l’AO SHOW, superbe spectacle moitié cirque, moitié danse traditionnelle, dure 45mn, superbe et très bien avec des enfants!
En juillet, pour toutes vos activités prévoyez des ponchos de pluie!

Les dunes rouges, honnêtement, je n'y suis pas allée depuis longtemps, mais pour sûr, je préfère les dunes blanches, c'est plus excentré donc ça attire moins de gens, donc c'est plus preservé, plus agréable. Après c'est sympa et joli, mais ce n'est pas non plus le Sahara !!! La balade "fairy stream" est par contre sympa, meme si pas mal de monde la fait. Ca dure 1h - 1h30 maximum, facile à caser dans la journée comme activité!z
Pour le visa, si vous restez moins de 15 jours, vous bénéficiez de l'exemption, en tant que ressortissant français.
Cela est valable que jusqu au 30 juin 2017..au dela cest visa obligatoire..sauf sil decide de prolonger d un an mais linfo ne sera communiquer qu au dernier moment...comme l annee derniere ...

D'après moi, avec 7 jours vous pouvez visiter: une journée au Delta du Mekong ( Cai Be - Vinh Long ou My Tho - Ben Tre), une journée à Cu Chi, 2 jour à Muine et 2 jour à Hoi An. Pour aller à Muine vous pouvez prendre le bus ou voiture privée.

Un jour dans le delta ? On voit quoi en un jour ? Il faut déjà 2 heures aller et retour pour sortir de et rentrer à Saigon ! Et faire un trajet aussi long pour 2 jours à Muine ? Avec le temps de trajet, ça fait une après-midi et une matinée sur la plage. Je vois plutot 2 jours Saigon, 1 jour temple cao dai de Thay Ninh + tunnels de Cu Chi, et 3 jours Saigon-Cai be-An Binh-Can Tho-Cai Rang-Saigon ! Nos amis ont le termps de VOIR et d'appércier sans courrir d'un endroit à un autre à longueur de journée

Pour une journée au Delta du Mekong, vous pouvez suivre cet itinéraire:
Voyage au delta du Mékong, Cai Be
07h30, notre guide et chauffeur vous chercheront à votre hôtel. Départ par la route pour Cai Be (2h30 de route), dans la région de Delta du Mékong. Cette journée d’excursion à bord du bateau commence au départ de Cai Be vers 10h00 du matin.
La croisière commence avec la visite du marché flottant de Cai Be, très fréquente par de nombreuses embarcations en provenance des diverses régions du delta. Cette croisière se poursuit en direction d’entreprises artisanales familiales ou vous pourrez découvrir la fabrication des galettes de riz, de biscuits à base de maïs souffle, de friandises au lait de coco, ainsi que le décorticage et séchage des longanes, fruits dont les plantations sont très étendues dans le delta. Déjeuner dans le jardin de fruits.
Après le déjeuner, suivre le long du fleuve Mékong jusqu’à Vinh Long, un centre de fruits tropicaux, arrêter pour une courte visite au marché Vinh Long. Traverser sous le pont de My Thuan et déposer par le point de repos du Mékong avant de retourner à Saigon.
Retour à Saigon en fin d’après-midi.
Concernant le voyage court de 7 jours, vous devrez économiser le temps pour visiter les meilleurs endroits si possible.

Désolé, mais je suis allé 4 fois à Vinh Long, de passage entre An Binh et Can Tho, et je n'y jamais vu aucun intérêt ! En fait, le plus beau dans la région, c'est tout le quartier des vieilles maisons de Dong Hoa Hiep du côté de la maison de MMe Kiet, avec ses petits canaux, ses ponts en dos d'âne et toute la végétation tropicale

Si vous n'aimez pas le marché flottant de Cai Be vous pouvez visiter la région de My Tho - Ben Tre, c'est magnifique paysage.
Voyage au delta du Mékong
Départ à 8h00 de Ho Chi Minh Ville pour My Tho, en passant le grenier à riz du Vietnam.
Arrivée à My Tho vers 10h00, vous visitez la pagode Vinh Trang. Ensuite, vous embarquez à bord d’un bateau local pour une croisière autour des îles appelées Dragon, Licorne, Tortue et Phœnix. En route, vous voyez des maisons sur pilotis, des plantations de fruits et des villages de pêcheurs… Sur l’île de la Tortue, faites un arrêt dans un jardin fruitier tropical afin de goûter de délicieux fruits exotiques et déjeuner.

I’d love to get some feedback on our itinerary—it’s probably pretty basic! This is our second trip to Asia and our first to Indonesia. We have three kids aged 20, 18, and 12. We land in Jakarta at 4 PM, spend 3 nights/2 days there, then take the train to Yogyakarta for 3 nights/2 days, followed by the train to Surabaya for 2 nights/1 day, then the train to Bromo for 1 day/1 night, a private driver to Ijen for 2 nights/2 days, then on to Bali (Ubud) for 4 nights/3 days, followed by Gili Air for 3 nights/2 days, Senggigi (Lombok) for 2 nights, and finally 5 nights in Kuta. I’m considering cutting the 2 nights in Senggigi to just keep Kuta and extend it to 7 nights. In Lombok, I’m not sure how to get around since I’m not comfortable with scooters... Your thoughts on all of this, and any advice, are more than welcome—don’t hesitate!
For those wondering why cities like Jakarta and Surabaya: we don’t often get the chance to visit big Asian cities, so we wanted to include that discovery in our trip. The trains between Jakarta and Yogyakarta, Surabaya and Probolinggo are booked. The return flight from Lombok to Jakarta is also set. Accommodations are booked but flexible (same for the trains).

I didn’t plan to return to Thailand this year, but my health conditions mean it’ll be the best place for me to stay between two trips to India. The tourism setup there is so well-organized that it’s the most "comfortable" country for a short visit. Thailand feels too sanitized for my taste, and there’s too much religion, Buddha, and the King, but it’s still the best option given how my health has been evolving. I’d considered two weeks in ThaTon for hiking, but I got too sick from the burn-offs during my trips to the mountains around Chiang Rai. So I’m not sure where to go this year. Definitely not the sea, touristy spots, or the mountains with burn-offs...

In 1996, we crossed Vietnam from Saigon to Hanoi by motorbike—Minsk bikes we bought in Saigon. I haven’t been back since, and it seems like a lot has changed.
- We’re heading to the south (well, the north and center) with the family in July-August (3 people).
- Is the road network more developed now? Back then, there was only National Route 1 from south to north. I’m thinking of renting a car this time (no motorbike with the family—though in ’96, they had a Jawa sidecar for sale, and we hesitated… maybe it’s for the best).
- Is Halong Bay really something to avoid because of overtourism? Even back then, it was pretty crowded. Is there a less touristy alternative?
- We’ll be traveling from Hanoi down to Danang (the only city we didn’t stop in back in ’96). Even though it’s a bit overhyped in a Chinese-tourist kind of way (from what I’ve read), we’re only going for the beach—pure relaxation for 7 days. The beaches are stunning, and I know the South China Sea is warm like coffee.
- Then, we’ll visit Hoi An, where I stopped in ’96. It was already popular with backpackers back then, but no glowing boats or all the touristy fuss!
- After that, Hue, where I have great memories—it’s a beautiful city.
- And also the nature around Ninh Binh, followed by 2-3 days in Hanoi.
That’s the plan. I’d love to hear any tips to avoid mass tourism, and if anyone’s done this before:
- Is it possible to rent a car in Danang and drop it off in Hanoi?

Last year, we did Malaysia (KL and the mainland + around Kuching).
Day 1 – Arrive in Kota Kinabalu early, stroll around town and hit the must-sees.
Day 2 – Excursion to Tunku Abdul Rahman Park, snorkeling at 3 islands.
Day 3 – Hike around Mount Kinabalu without summiting (450 per person, no way).
Day 4 – Poring Hot Springs + evening flight to Sandakan.
Day 5-6-7 – Kinabatangan River (still looking for the right guide).
Day 8 – Sepilok for the orangutans, the Sun Bear Centre, and Rainforest Discovery Centre.
Day 9 – Selingan, turtle island.
Day 10 – Head to Semporna.
Day 11-12-13-14 – Sipadan, Mabul, Kapalai.
Day 15 – Bohey Dulang.
Day 16 to Day 25: I’M STUCK.
I looked into Danum Valley, but for 3 days/2 nights, they’re quoting 650 € per person—come on, that’s ridiculous.
I checked out a detour into Indonesia (still East Borneo), but I’m having trouble deciding what would be amazing.
I read about Sangalaki + Kakaban (2 islands, 1 base) / Mahakam Delta - Kutai (orangutans and river) / Sungai Boh (Dayak Kayan) – jungle & culture.
But honestly, I’m struggling to finalize this itinerary.
If we venture that way, we’d head back to KK from Balikpapan.
For a 4-month stay in Egypt, I had ENORMOUS problems. The regulations are very bureaucratic and extremely nitpicky there. For a 4-month stay in the Philippines, I was wondering if the procedures are just as complicated? I’m bringing my cell phone with an eSIM. Should I choose a plan from Canada for use in the Philippines, or should I get a plan only once I arrive? After 30 days, do I renew with the Canadian provider I chose before leaving, or do I switch to a local company? Do I need to register my phone with the authorities in the Philippines? (That was the case in Egypt.) For the 3rd and 4th months, will it be just as simple—renewing with a Canadian or local provider—or should I expect problems?

We like to decide things on the spot and go with the flow, without rushing everywhere. But I’m still a bit unsure: when heading down to the center (Hue), is it better to book the overnight trains in advance? We don’t want to take any flights while we’re there—just use the overnight train for the long trips. But I’m worried we won’t get seats if we buy the tickets on the spot, say, 2 days before. I’m planning an itinerary and would love some feedback on whether it’s doable and if the number of days per destination is enough—or too much. I was also debating whether to add an extra night on an island or spend an extra night in Kampot to visit Kep or Battambang.

For those familiar with SOUTHEAST ASIA, I'm planning to leave in mid-June (with the trip ending at the latest in November), and I don’t have a precise idea of exact places or itineraries yet. The thing is, this period is usually the rainy season...
Any advice? I was thinking of Malaysia or Indonesia, like Sulawesi, for example (all countries and islands in Southeast Asia interest me except Bali).
Any recommendations? I’m doing my research online, but if anyone here has the time and knowledge, I’d love to hear from you.
My partner and I are planning a trip to Indonesia in September-October 2026. My girlfriend and I booked our tickets with Saudia Airlines for a trip to Thailand this summer, from July 5th to August 3rd. Given the geopolitical situation in the Middle East, we’re keeping a close eye on the news.
I was wondering if anyone here is in the same situation as us?
• Have you heard anything about possible mass cancellations or if the airline is still maintaining its routes to Asia?
• Are there any travelers who’ve recently returned who could tell us if air corridors have been changed (longer flight times)?
