Je voudrais savoir si sur le forum il y a des voyageurs qui ont voyagé en Inde du Nord - au Rajasthan et à Varanasi - au mois de juin. Je sais qu'il ne s'agit pas du tout de la bonne période pour y aller mais je dois y aller y travailler 3 semaines...Je suis allée en Inde 3 fois mais en octobre/décembre. Il y faisait encore chaud mais c'était agréable. Là j'avoue que je ne sais pas à quoi m'attendre. Le thermomètre avoisine les 45ºC...Est-ce supportable? Quelqu'un a-t-il déjà fait cette expéricience? Si oui, me recommandez-vous définitivement la chambre avec air conditionné?
Salut ! Effectivement il fait TRES chaud au Rajasthan en ce moment. J'étais à Delhi dimanche dernier et par 44° impossible de se balader dehors entre 12h et 16h. Certains bâtiments sont plutôt bien isolés et permettre de survivre simplement avec un ventilateur, d'autres en revanche rendent la clim obligatoire par 45°. Donc on voit ça au feeling en visitant l'hôtel, mais dans le doute par cette chaleur je n'hésiterais pas et prendrais la clim !
Oui le mois de juin est le mois le plus chaud au Nord de l'Inde: moyennes à Jodhpur: mini 28°C; maxi 40°C, ce qui signifie que les extrêmes peuvent effectivement atteindre 45°C. J'ai vécu cette chaleur: c'est pénible, mais supportable. Cela s'accompagne d'une forte humidité, puisque la mousson arrive, ce qui aura pour effet de faire fléchir les températures dès juillet. Mieux vaut choisir des hébergements climatisés, si l'on veut se reposer la nuit.
Disons que je pose cette question toute bête parce qu'en octobre je me supportais avec le ventilateur la nuit. La journée il faisait chaud mais c'était supportable. Ce coup-ci j'y vais aussi pour travailler. Je vais être en vadrouille toute la journée dans des ateliers de la banlieue de Jaipur mais le soir j'aimerais pouvoir me reposer ( vraiment), travailler un peu sur mon ordi ( sans que le disque dur ne se mette à fondre)...et au vu des températures je ne crois pas qu'avec 30º la nuit on puisse vraiment se reposer. J'habite Madrid et je connais les nuits chaudes, mais elles excèdent rarement 27º...du coup, je pense qu'effectivement le mieux c'est prendre une chambre avec air conditionné...Côté vêtement, j'ai décidé d'emporter du lin uniquement...
Sinon, en ce moment il y a beaucoup de touristes ou il est facile de se loger, de prendre le train sans avoir à abuser des quotas?

La nuit en juin il risque de faire plus que 30°, les températures bougent finalement assez peu entre la nuit et le jour à cette époque (contrairement à avril par exemple où les nuits sont encore fraîches). Octobre-Novembre sont parmi les meilleurs mois question météo pour visiter l'Inde, pas étonnant que tu aies apprécié !
Pour le train, il faudra toujours réserver 2 semaines à l'avance pour être sûr... Par contre, pas beaucoup de touristes occidentaux à cette époque donc ça devrait aller ; Il risque d'y avoir pas mal de touristes indiens dans les stations d'altitude genre Shimla ou Mussoorie. Mais en tout cas en juin tu pourras négocier tes chambres d'hôtel à de très bons prix !
Oupf! Je suis allée à Musoorie pour Diwali l'année dernière et il faisait frais voire froid -et en été ça a l'air d'être la cohue, non?
J'ai cru comprendre que c'était un peu la ruée pendant la haute saison. Ce coup-ci pas moyen d'aller dans une station climatique ( je serais bien allée à Dharamsala) mais je suis coincée dans le triangle des Bermudes de la canicule: Delhi-Jaipur-Varanasi. Il n'y aura pas moyen d'échapper à la chaleur :/
En tout cas c'est bon à savoir. Je vais rester 2 semaines consécutives dans le même hôtel, je vais essayer de négocier le prix de ma chambre.

Nous voulons faire quelques safaris, aller dans les villages, les montagnes, voir les plantations de thé, ... Mais aussi voir les tortues. Nous adorons le snorkeling mais ne sommes pas de grands connaisseurs, on est juste contents de voir des poissons plein de couleurs et des coraux. On a toujours voulu voir des tortues aussi. Donc l'idée c'est quand même d'y voir quelque chose sous leau 😊

I’ve planned a three-week itinerary for this summer, from August 9 to 27, in Sri Lanka:
Negombo – 1 night
Sigiriya and the Cultural Triangle – 4 nights
Kandy – 2 nights
Ella – 3 nights
Tangalle – 6 nights
Colombo Airport – 1 night
I know this isn’t the ideal time for the south since the beach conditions aren’t great, but we’ve booked a hotel with a pool and won’t be swimming in the sea. We want to relax after all the travel since we’re bringing our two kids, aged 6 and 8.
I know the east would be better, but (i) I’m struggling to find suitable accommodation, and (ii) it adds a lot of travel time, and my kids can only handle about 3 hours at a stretch.
I looked into Arugam Bay, but it’s a 7-hour trip back to Colombo from there.
I’ve checked every weather site imaginable, but they don’t all agree. Do you think we’ll spend our whole trip in the rain, or is the monsoon in the south mostly limited to the sea, as I’ve read?
I’m worried about ending up in the middle of a natural disaster with my two young kids, given recent events.

This year, 2026, I can only get away in April and May. I never travel during these months usually, and from what I know, they aren’t the best for India. But in such a big country, there are always spots that are better than others weather-wise.

I’ve looked into a few different options: Brazil, Cambodia, and Ecuador. The last one really appeals to me, but what’s making me hesitate is the risk of our trip being a bit too rainy (literally ),
We’re more drawn to the Andes, exploring colonial cities, typical villages, markets, and a bit of the coast. We’ve already gotten a taste of this in Bolivia, Colombia, and Chile. Plus, we’d love to do part of it by car since we’re used to driving at our own pace and stopping whenever we feel like it. Anyway, time’s running out, and I need to decide so I can finalize a route and book the tickets!!

I’ve planned a trip to Asia for the first half of November.
I’ll arrive in Singapore at the start of November for about 3 days, and I’ll leave from Bangkok in mid-November.
In between, I’d like to gradually head north to visit some less touristy islands on the Thai coast.

Just giving you the quick context: A group of friends and I are planning a trip to South Korea (Seoul/Busan) at the end of June/July next year. It falls right in the middle of the monsoon season, but we don’t really have other availability options.😕
I’d love to hear from people who’ve visited the country and these cities during this period—basically, is it not as bad as it sounds, or should we just cancel our tickets (we don’t mind the heat, it’s mostly the rain that scares us).
I know there are plenty of indoor activities, but do you think we’ll still manage to get a few sunny days, or will it be torrential rain for our entire 2-week trip?
The only other country we’ve visited during the rainy season is Brazil (in the northeast) around the same time, and honestly, aside from a few really annoying downpours, we had sunshine most of the time and it was awesome. That said, the climate is totally different, so I’m not sure how relevant the comparison is.

Personally, I see a promising opportunity here—jumping on this adaptation to extreme climates before others do, since they’re inevitably coming.
From my own travel experience, I’ve met a few guides so far who are starting to adjust, like in Egypt, Kenya, Senegal, and elsewhere.
They avoid crowds and the hottest hours by starting their tours around 6–7 AM, when it’s cooler.
Yeah, you’ve gotta wake up early, but the payoff is so worth it. 😴
If you’ve got any great tips like this, why not discuss them in this thread and share addresses or websites where the people in charge have realized climate change is real and are adapting? 😊
