Voilà, notre itinéraire est presque prêt.... nous partons dans quelques jours avec nos deux enfants de 9 et 11 ans.
Nous serons 3 semaines entre Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Pai et si le temps nous le permet nous irons au Kanchanaburi.
C'est un premier voyage sac au dos pour nos loulous...
Nous avons gardé 1 bonne semaine pour faire une île ou 2 (mais l'idée serait plutôt une île et prendre notre temps). Nous hésitons entre koh tao et sa voisine koh panghan. Nous aimons bien faire du snorkling mais nous aimons aussi nous promener dans les terres.
Dans le nord, nous allons faire des petites guest houses mais pour cette dernière semaine nous aimerions nous offrir un bel hôtel (notre budget a un peu augmenté, nous avons été meilleurs économes que prévu !).
Alors, nous avons besoin de votre aide pour le choix de l'île et de l'hôtel.
J'en profite pour vous remercier tous, car c'est grâce à vous que nous avons pu "organiser" (en laissant de la place aux surprises) notre voyage, nous avons lu tous vos conseils... un grand merci à tous !

si tu aime le snorkling je pense que koh tao est plus sympa meme si tu as des bon coin a koh panghan.
De plus avec des enfants je pense que koh tao est plus simple pour une famille.
Perso je me dirigerai plus vers des bungalows au lieu d'hotel.
Pour mon cas personel je vais au taa toh lagoon, bungalows bord de mer avec des activités snorkling proposées mais bien sur avec un budget plus consequent il y a mieux.
Sinon pense a utiliser la fonction recherche , ce sujet a été souvent traité.

Je dirais de commencer par 4 jours a Phang gan "peinards" puis de filer sur Tao pour 2 ou 3 jours car ces 2 iles sont aussi différentes qu'interessantes : Phangan est plus "cool, roots, peinard" (je ne parle pas du tout ici du coté Full Moon Party) que Tao plus "mode, jeun's, plongée, festivité, bruyante que la précésdente. Chacune à son charme propre et pour rentrer de Pangan il faut passer par Tao.... 😉

Si vous devez choisir entre l'un et l'autre, aller à Ko tao.
Ne rester pas à Sari Beach avec les enfants (c'est teuf toute la journée et toute la nuit et hyper touristique) mais bouger plus au sud. No problème pour le snorkeling. De plus, si vous voulez explorer un peu plus les eaux en masque et tuba, je vous conseille de prendre un taxi boat pour la journée, qui saura ou vous emmener. Ne prenez surtout pas un truc organisé. C'est l'horreur, si on a le mal de mer, si on n'aime pas les touristes et pour les enfants qui se retrouveront dans le big bassin.
Maintenant si vous voulez tout de même aller à Ko Phangan, N'allez surtout pas au sud, là ou il y a des full moon et ou des occidentaux entre 20 et 25 ans picolent et prennent toutes sortes de drogues sans y être habitué, c'est juste l'enfer (j'ai fais... plus jamais). Allez au nord. Je vous conseille vivement cet endroit, idéal en famille avec snorkeling sur la plage, hyper loin de tout, bonne bouffe, bingualos hyper confortable et pas cher. Je vous conseille de réserver a l'avance au moins pour deux jours. Ils sont français.

Voilà, j'ai fait les deux l'année dernière, le plus difficile, quand on ne connais pas, est de ne pas se retrouver dans des attrapes touriste.

Personally, I always prepare an envelope with euro bills in different denominations before I leave (they exchange them easily on-site). Here’s my method:
🛏️ For housekeeping: I leave a bill on the pillow every morning since schedules rotate daily.
🍽️ For servers: I always sit at the same table. At the end of the trip, I give an envelope to each server who took care of us daily.
🎉 For entertainment: I set aside an envelope for the animator who put in the most effort and really touched me.

For my husband's 50th birthday, we're going to Mombasa for 10 days and 8 nights in March 2026.
I found a hotel, the Kappa Club Crystal Bay Resort, and online reviews for this hotel recommend a guide named Omar. I contacted him via WhatsApp, and he's offering a 2-day, 1-night safari in Tsavo East, a "blue safari," and a Marafa Canyon day trip for 400 € per person.
I’m asking for help from people who’ve already done these excursions because I have no idea what these offers entail.

Can anyone recommend 5 or 6 hotel names that meet the following criteria? (I’m not too picky, lol)

3. Beautiful beach and pool
4. Hotel for relaxing (no "factory hotels")
5. One-week stay in February 2026
6. A nice hotel (3 or 4 stars) but no need for an ultra-palace

Hi there, I’m a 43-year-old woman planning to travel solo in early March. I’m not really into "commercial resorts," but if I find a place that fits my criteria, I might be interested. To add to the info in the title, I’m open to various activities, but ideally, it’d include snorkeling, hiking, dance (every evening if possible!), group tours, etc. I’d love to meet people (not necessarily a man—just people in general!). We’ll be in Venice from March 20th to 24th, and I’m looking (for two couples) for a hotel close to St. Mark’s Square—my husband can’t walk long distances. For four nights with breakfast, our budget is around 1,400 € per couple. To avoid too much walking for him, I’d also prefer a hotel where we could potentially eat dinner in the evenings.

You can’t pay online there—you just submit a reservation request (enquiry).
The second is the NWR (Namibia Wildlife Resorts) site: https://www.nwr.com.na, where you *can* pay online.
Is the latter one reliable?

Bonjour nous arriverons dimanche 5 mai ( à partir de 16h25) à l'aéroport de Punta Cana pour profiter d'un séjour que mon amie à gagner à l’hôtel Gran Bahia Principe La Romana.
L'avion est offert par la compagnie aérienne, l'hôtel je pense par la chaine hôtelière, mais aujourd'hui je m’inquiète du transfert car aucune info et j'apprends que rien n'est prévu.
D’après ce que j'ai vu le dernier car expreso part de Punta Cana à 16h00
Y-a t'il d'autres moyens de transports collectif (guagua) qui puisse faire le trajet ou au moins nous avancer jusqu'à La Romana ou San Pedro de Marcoris et je pense qu'on finira le trajet en taxi.
Si c'est trop compliqué ça sera navette privée mais on est plus "lonely planet " que navette privée et hôtel tout inclus.
