Si tu ne trouves pas de taf avant de partir, tu devrais trouver sur place en te présentant dans les pubs, restos, pour des petits boulots. Si tu te présentes bien (clean, souriant...le B.a ba quoi), tu ne devrais pas avoir trop de problèmes. Il y a aussi des auberges de jeunesse qui te logent gratos en échange d'heures de boulot (accueil, nettoyage...). Ca peut dépanner.

Le probleme c'est pas que je cherche pas (au contraire), mais que mon niveau d'anglais me limite beaucoup!!! En plus je suis un mec plutôt meffiant donc je compare et veux etre sur de ne pas tomber dans un plan galere (genre hotel foirreux, reservation bidon sur le net...), c'est pour ça que j'aurai voulu des conseilles (donnés par des humains qui sont beucoup plus fiable que ce satané internet...) un peu plus precis (si quelqu'un peu m'en fournir).

Bon et ben je suis tout nouveau sur le forum, et je me joint à toi cher harivellerie dans tes recherches sur un séjour en Irlande. je suis dans le même cas et j'essaie de choper des infos par ci par là. Moi je veux partir vers le mois d'août pour 6 ou 8 mois à peu prés. Et en fait j'ai cru comprendre que ça le faisait plus de partir direct là-bas et s'arranger sur place plutôt que passer par Eurojob ou autre.
mais là où j'ai pas trop saisi c'est comment se passe le logement pour un étranger qui débarque de nul part, qui parle trop mal l'anglais (et oui je me joints à vous qui n'avez rien foutu au lycée !! 😉😉) et qui a pour seuls compagnons deux malheureux et tristes sacs de voyages ?

parce que c'est tentant, pour une première expérience, d'arriver à destination avec le travail prémâché, surtout au niveau du logement. Car pas d'arnaque ou de mauvaise surprise j'imagine.

pas d agence type eurojob, car c est un peu l arnaque moi je suis passé par celtichalls.com pour le logement, c est assez mais les logements sont nikel !!!!!! dvd lave vaisselle etc, , le loyer et par semain donc pour débarquer la 1ere semaine c est le top, surtout si le nivo d anglais est mauvais, a moins d arriver et trouver une auberge et par la suite trouver un logement sur Dart.ie chamnbre a partager, appart en colloc, c est le must pour améliorer l anglaisd et c est moins chere voila good luck

L'irlande c'est le pays de la colocation donc une fois sur place: à nos journaux et nos ptites annonces et on commence la visite!
Pour le boulot, j'suis un peu dans la meme galere, comment trouver un job alors qu'on connait pas la langue??? j'sais pas encore, je croix que la il va falloir de l'improvisation... plein de motivation à tous!

si je peux me permettre de donner un avis de vieux amoreux de l'irlande... 1er sejour en 1984... j'y ai bosse 1 annee entre tullamore, mullingar et athlone... La plus belle annee de ma vie🙂 Je ne parlai pas un mot mais apres mois de pubs et colloc, j'etais comme un poisson dans une pinte de guiness😛 ... Je conseillerai, donc, etant egalement vieux habitue de la coloc a l'étranger, de :
petites annonces pour colloc avec des english speaking people
eviter les collocs entre francais (autant rester a paname...)
choisir galway (superbe), le centre (nostalgie), enfin peux importe le lieu en fait, l'irlandais est super accueillant de toute maniere.

en ce qui concerne dublin, les avis sont toujours partages, soit on aime soit on n'aime pas, c'est une grnade ville.
cork est la 3eme ville d'irlande (mais bon on a fait le tour dans la journee😏).
mon avis (celui de quelqu'un qui y a vecu plus de deux ans soit dit au passage) serait, si vous le pouvez, allez plutot dans des coins plus petits, style petits villages, ou
1_ vous trouverez du boulot plus facilement, car les gne ssont plus sympas
2_les loyers sont nettement moins cheres meme dans les auberges de jeunesse.
3_vous rencontrerez moins d'etrangers (en principe) et plus d'irlandais, donc vous amelioerez votre anglais.
4_vous decouvrirez un autre visage de l'irlande.delui qu'on ne trouve pas dans les villes.
les Irlandais ne sont pas chiants quant les etrangers ont du mal a les compendre, meme leurs voisins anglais ont du mal alors..et ils font plus d'efforts avec les etrangers.
cote bonne adresse, je vous conseille fortement le guide du routard, qui est plutot complet, les adresses sont plutot bonnes dedant, le sheila's par exemple sur cork est une bonne auberge.

Perso, j'en ai pas gardé un souvenir imperissable. Plutôt même beaucoup d'ennui malgré les nombreuses heures de travail...payé un misère (il y 10 ans...) Mais l'auberge de jeunesse qui démarrait à l'époque à peut-être aidé à dynamiser la "city".
Seul point positif, c'est la situation géographique centrale permet un point de départ idéal pour rayonner aux 4 points cardinaux... c'est déjà pas mal...
