Je pars vivre 1 an en Australie avec le WHV et je m'interrogeait sur la facilité de trouvé un emploi saisonnier type agriculture et restauration !!!
Voila j'attend vos réponses avec impatience car je commence un peu à flipper sachant que j'ai lu que plusieurs personnes etaient rentrées en France au bout de 3 mois car ils ne trouvaient pas de TAF !!!

Crise ou pas, ne t'attends pas à trouver du taf en 2 jours, tu es l'étranger là bas...alors oui c'est dur de trouver du boulot comme partout.
Revenir au bout de trois mois, c'est je pense ne pas avoir persévéré, ne pas avoir assez cherché.
Il faut y aller tous les jours chercher sans relâche et un jour, peut être, tu trouveras quelque chose.
L'une de mes amie à mis 4 mois avant de trouver un job d'extra comme serveuse, alors oublie les fêtes et tout ça les premiers temps focalises toi sur la recherche d'un job...
Moi je cherche un stage pour 2010 en Australie et j'ai déjà commencé de chercher pour avoir un maximum de chances...

Je suis rentrée d'Oz finde l'année dernière et la seule chose que je peux te dire c'est que pour trouver du boulot 'le plus facilement possible' il faut :
1 - être débrouillard et ne pas avoir peur de faire des efforts
2 - se renseigner sur les forus avant départ (chose que tu fais donc un bon point)
3 - partir avec minimum de quoi survivre pendant deux mois
Tu parles d'agriculture et c'st à mon avis là où tu peux trouver le plus mais attention, vérifie bien en fonction des périodes car il n'ay pas du boulot toute l'année et surtout des régions... L'est est radicalement différent de l'ouest niveau climat. De plus, garde toujours à l'esprit que l'Oz c'est pas la France et que les distances sont énormes...
La crise... ouais elle est la bien sur et nier qu'il est plus dur de trouver un boulot en ce moment serait mentir bien sur...
Maintenant les médias francais ont toujours tendance a tout dramatiser... Divise par 10 ce que tu lis et entends en France et tu seras dans la réalité je pense ;)
Exemple je vis au canada depuis bientot 1 an et demi et on parle quasiment pas de la crise... Et pourtant la proximité avec les USA est grande...Simple point de vue: ici on prefere serrer les coudes et bosser dur, en france on prefere se plaindre... ca a toujours été comme ca et ca changera pas... c'est ce qui est presque le plus chiant en france, les journalistes...
Bref fonce et arrete pas ton reve a ce detail, si tu te donnes les moyens tu trouveras j'en suis sur ;)

.... c'est qu'en arrivant il y a le choc culturel, et l'Australie depuis la France fait rêver mais une fois sur place la réalité est tout autre c'est super dur de tenir, surtout arrives avec des économies.
la fille d'une amie est aussi revenue au bout de 3 mois, être à l'autre bout du monde...c'est pas évident de tenir, surtout si au départ tu n'as pas de job, trouve sur place quelqu'un qui parle ta langue et qui travail elle ne pourra que t'encourager,
voilà bon courage, et tient le plus longtemps possible l'Australie malgré tout est un beau pays, avec 300 jours de soleil c'est pas mal quand même.😛

Ce serait vraiment insupportable de partir vers le rêve et de rentrer en France au bout de 3 mois parce qu'on est en galère la-bas.
J'ai 3 potes aussi qui sont partis l'été dernier et sont revenus au bout de 4 mois parce qu'ils ne trouvaient pas tous un boulot
et que la vie leur revenait quand même cher, ils m'ont fait un peu peur parce que je souhaite partir aussi 1 AN et je ne supporterais pas de me retrouver dans la même situation.
Je suis plutôt intéressée par Brisbane, quelqu'un sait si c'est possible de trouver du boulot et un logement rapidement la-bas?
Je ne tiendrai pas 4 mois sans boulot je trouve ça long tout de même.
Ou s'il y a une ville particulière qui permet de ne pas trop galérer? Sydney c'est grand mais c'est cher.
...on ne peut pas répondre pour toi; tout dépend de ta personnalité, de ton caractère, de ton profil, de tes expérences.et de ton niveau d'anglais....
chacun est un cas à part. ne reste pas avec des gens qui galère, car sinon ils vont te transmettre leur angoisse, et surtout soit objectif.
arrive au début de l'été là-bas, je pense qu'il y aura plus d'opportunités.en début de saison,
un autre conseil, prends ce que tu trouves même pour un temps très court, c'est toujours ça de pris.
et surtout arrvive avec un pécule et sois organisé!
surtout évite Sydney, pense à Cairns c'est pas mal, et pas trop excessif!

Je pense aller faire 4 semaines de cours d'anglais avant de travailler mais quelqu'un m'a conseillé l'ACE mais j'ai trouvé que c'était assez cher.
Je suis plus attiré par Brisbane alors si quelqu'un connaît une bonne école d'anglais là-bas et pas hors de prix ce serait vraiment sympa????

je ne connais pas Brisbane, mais vois s'il y a une alliance française, il pourront te renseigner,
et attention tout de même dans les école classique, car leur programme peut être très long, et parfois pas très efficace, le mieux serait que
tu te trouves un job style serveur, et en plus tu t'inscris (si tu en as le courage) à des cours du soir, dans une école style géré par un service des étrangers, qui ne te coûtera pas ton salaire il doit bien y avoir ça dans Brisbane.
où alors l'autre possibilité, tu prends des cours particuliers,
je ne sais pas ton niveau d'anglais, s'il est moyen tu progresseras assez vite, si tu es totalement débutant c'est sur que cela risque d'être plus long,
surtout que l'accent australien, n'est pas l'accent british!
allez courage, ne sois pas avec des français sur place, le mieux pour progresser est l'IMMERSION totale!! 😛

Sur le forum, j'ai vu que finalement il n'y avait pas grand chose à faire à Brisbane et à ce qu'il paraît il y a moins de travail qu'ailleurs. Enfin ce n'est pas réjouissant mais je compte aller la-bas tout de même, au début pour des cours d'anglais et y travailler un peu si j'ai la chance de trouver.
En ce qui me concerne, niveau théorique en anglais je me débrouille bien, je fais une Licence LEA, langues étrangères appliquées donc on bosse bien mais niveau pratique c'est bidon on a un cours par semaine d'oral, donc j'ai un peu de mal à m'exprimer mais ça va et je comprend bien. J'ai de la chance de ce côté là, l'anglais ne m'est pas inconnu.
J'ai pas envie de me faire arnaquée, des gens m'ont parler de ACE à Brisbane mais j'ai matté une brochure et je trouve ça cher. ;
Pour l'immersion, je suis complètement d'accord avec toi, c'est le mieux
alors ne t'inquiète pas si déjà tu arrives à comprendre, pour t'exprimer par la force des choses tu y parviendras,
je ne connais pas Bribane mais il faut absolument que tu évites d'arriver où il y déjà des français,
tu auras plus de mal à trouver du travail.
quand j'y étais aller j'ai rencontrer un frenchie qui m'expliquait qu'il avait dû s'exiler dans un endroit où il y avait pas grand monde, car au bout de 3 mois il était sans boulot. et désespéré.
je me souviens que quand on a fait connaissance j'étais sur le petit coin de paradis qui est "HAMILTON"
il a trouvé dans un hotel et il était aux anges!🙂
donc ne vise pas les endroits trop touristiques, l'Australie est très étendu, va dans un endroit où personne n'a pensé aller, c'est clair qu'au départ tu risques de te sentir bien seul, mais si ta motivation est de bosser mets toutes les chances de ton coté....
PS: laisse tomber les cours, si tu as les bases tu t'en sortiras, prends un carnet un stylo et note au fur et à mesure les expressions que tu ne connais pas.

salut mec ! moi c david jsuis quebecois pas blilingue mais assez bon, jpars le 27 avril en vwh . jtrouve que tu devrais certainement tinscrire au wwoofing, comme sa, si cest la galere, pi que ta de la misere a te trouver une job, au moins tu sera nourri logé moyennant 4 h de travail par 5 jour sem.(env) sa te permettra aussi detre en immersion totale! tu peut tj esseyer le planting job, cest payant et pas bocoup de monde . wwoof.au si ta des question hesite pas
alors ca y est le depart est imminent plus que quelques jours !!!

Je me pose les même questions que vous, concernant la crise en Australie.
Il faut avoir de quoi tenir. Le truc c'est comment combiner voyage et recherche d'emploi parce que rester 3 mois au même endroit à chercher un job sans être sur d'en trouver un c'est un peu dur. On dépense de l'argent, on ne s'éclate pas (chercher un taff n'a jamais été marrant) on stresse.
A la base le whv est fait pour s'éclater et le travail est secondaire, on bosse pour ralonger son séjour et d'après les forums il y a avait une époque où il était extrêmement facile de trouver du boulot (petits boulots j'entends).
relax man, si tu pars deja stresser, t mal parti. ya aucune raison de letre . pk? c simple... lorsquun probleme surviendra, tu ne saura pas pres a le resoudre . dla job, quand tu veut travailler, tinquiete quil en na. arrange toi pour te faire un bon cv si ta jamais travailler manuellement. arette un peu avec ta crise c pas la guerre labas. ya tj moyen de sarranger tu verra bien. c normal de stresser avant son depart mais c important de ne pas negativer. sa prend juste une savaNTE DOSE de confiance et de doute. lun taide a avancer et lotre de te mefié. tu peux faire du wwoof et chercher dla job lapresmidi. sa te coute pas une cent sinon un transport, mais si ta dla gueule un peu, sa te coutera rien. regarde, ds le queensland, en ce temps ci de lannée, dla job, yen pleu. mais i faut que tu sois pres a sacrifié bien des chose. cia lespe. lexper666@hotmail.com hesitez pas, soit sur facebook ou msn, echanger des bon plan c tj the best .

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
