Je suis Québécoise et envisage de partir 6 à 12 mois en Irlande ou en France avec un visa vacances-travail. Présentement, mon choix tend davantage vers la France. C'est surtout mon niveau d'anglais qui m'inquiète pour l'Irlande (pour voyager ça va, mais pour travailler...) La France a aussi l'avantage d'être à proximité de pleins d'autres pays ayant des cultures et langues differentes.
Mais j'ai encore pleins de questions pour fixer mon choix (même s'il y a pleins de discussions sur ce sujet) :
Est-ce qu'on a le droit à une seule demande de visa pour la France (comme c'est le cas pour l'Irlande)?
Est-ce que ça vaut vraiment la peine de passer par SWAP?
Je n'ai pas vraiment d'expérience pour des boulots de type saisonnier (hôtellerie, resto...), est-ce quand même réaliste??
Si vous avez déjà vécu ce genre d'expérience dans l'un ou l'autre de ces pays (si vous avez fait les 2, c'est encore mieux!!) vous me seriez vraiment d'une grande aide en me donnant votre point de vue.

Ben, je suis francaise et je suis actuelement en irlande pour trouver un job... je croix que ca ressemble un peu a ta situation...
Donc, si tu veux trouver un job saisonier en France je dirais qu`il y a pas trop de probleme, le tout c`est de s`y prendre en avance!! avril au plus tard! Si ta pas d`experience le tout est de mentir un peu... dire que t`as deja fait la plonge ou les glaces ou des extras ou d`arriver avec un grand sourire et de dire que t`apprend vite...comme serveuse ils veulent souvent un peu d`experience, mais il faut un debut a tout! La vrai saison c`est generalement fin juin jusqu`a mi septembre, si t`arrive vers la t`auras largement le temps d`etre operationnelle pour la saison!
T`inquiete pas, la restauration ca s`apprend vite!
Pour l`irlande je sais pas trop quoi te dire... Je suis arrivé y`a 2 semaines et mon anglais et pas tres performant... J`attaque les recherches de boulot lundi, je pourrais te dire ce que j`en pense... La je suis a dublin, y` a beaucoup d`etranger et beaucoup qui cherche du boulot...Dans ce que j`ai entendu c`est que c`est un peu la galere mais generalement tout le monde arrive a trouver du boulot! Si tu est aussi bonne que moi en anglais... je croix que c`est encore plus la galere mais gérable quand meme!!
Pour ce qui est visa, je peux pas trop d`aider, j`en ai aucune idée... Pour orienté ton choi je tiens a dire qu`en France il fait chaud.. voir tres chaud en été et qu`ici...ben il pleut.. et l`été aussi je croix qu`il pleut...

Pour ce qui est de mon départ, tout dépend de la décision, surtout combien de temps ça va me prendre à me décider... (j'avoue, j'ai un gros défaut : je suis toujours indécise, je travaille là-dessus, mais c'est pas facile à corriger!!) J'aimerais bien fin avril ou mai. (ce serait pas trop réaliste avant ça) Ce sera un peu serré pour la saison estivale...mais je suis prête à faire bien des boulots...le travail sur des fermes (cueillette) serait p-être une alternative. Je crois que ça s'étale sur une bonne période en fonction des régions.
Ce serait vraiment sympa si tu pouvais donner des nouvelles pour voir comment tu trouves la recherche de boulot. ça m'aiderait sûrement beaucoup à prendre une décision et je suis certaine que ça aiderait plein d'autres gens. Et je prend bien note de tes infos pour la température, et surtout je n'oublierai pas mon imper si je choisis l'Irlande!!

Des nouvelles d`irlande, ben la conclusion du moment c`est que si t`es aussi bonne en anglais que moi...y`a quelques difficultés...
Je suis avec une amie qui se debrouille en anglais mais qui n`est pas bilingue qui a reussi a trouver un job assez facilement, et tout les etranger rencontrés en ont trouvé aussi. Donc c`est possible! Je sais pas trop quoi te conseiller, c`est sur qu`il y a du boulot, et encore plus l`été dans la restauration mais voila si comme moi tu parle pas vraiement la langue... c`est un peu une question de chance..
Apres niveau destination je sais pas, on arrete pas de me dire que Dublin c`est cher et qu`il y a plein d`autre ville super en irlande comme cork et Galway (il parait qu`il y a beaucoup de francais),
voila pour l`evolution du moment...
pour l`indecision, j`suis de tout coeur avec toi! je suis dans le meme cas que toi! vais-je rester a dublin? a galway? revenir en france pou refaire des sous et tenter de repartir apres?....
Des que je sais plus, ou si j`ai de nouvelle idée a te communiquer je te dit ca!

Comme tu es Québecoise, je pense qu'il doit y avoir des arrangements pour les prolongations de visa. Sinon, tu pars en France, une fois le visa terminé tu pars en Irlande et puis, lorsque celui-ci est terminé, tu reviens en France avec un nouveau visa...😉 (c'est la sortie de territoire qui compte)
Pour l'Irlande ne t'inquiètes pas, il y a 3 ans, j'y ai passé 3 mois. Pas besoin d'être 1 as de l'anglais pour s'en tirer, fais moi confiance...j'ai bossé dans l'auberge de jeunesse youth hostel de Killarney je faisais du ménage. essayes de trouver un boulot ou tu seras au contact avec des personnes étrangères, du coup, le fait que tu parles aussi le français sera apprécié.
Si tu n'as pas vraiment d'expérience pour des boulots de type saisonnier (hôtellerie, resto...), ce n'est pas un problème. servir un verre, prendre une commande, ce n'est pas compliqué et ça s'apprend vite, alors pas de panique, tentes ta chance. J'ai été barman en France, loueur de canoë et serveur dans un restaurannt sans avoir fait ni l'un ni l'autre auparavant...

Je pense bien me lancer pour la France. C'est plus complexe pour l'Irlande côté visa...il y a des frais de quelques centaines de $$ tandis que c'est gratuit pour la France. Et les billets d'avion sont beaucoup plus abordables et flexibles pour Paris à partir de Montréal ou Québec.
Alors, si certains ont des bons plans, des villes où il est agréable de vivre et possible de trouver du boulot...je suis preneuse et je vous en remercie à l'avance!
Pour les villes, tout depend: tu recherches une grande ville, un village?
Dis moi à quelle période tu recherches du travail, ce sera plus facile de t'aiguiller. Par exemple, l'été c'est plus facile de trouver en Bretagne, sur les côtes en général; sinon, si tu recherches un boulot d'hiver va plutot dans les pyrénnées ou les alpes...😉
J'ai maintenant mon visa pour la France entre les mains!!! J'arrive vers la fin avril, donc disons que je vais plutôt chercher pour un boulot d'été. Dans quel domaine il y a le plus de travail : c'est sûr qu'il y a les hôtels/restos, mais à part ça?
Pour ce qui est des villes vs villages, disons que je n'aime pas vraiment les grandes villes (Paris, Marseille, Lyon etc. à éviter pour moi!!) Mais j'imagine qu'il doit être plus facile de trouver dans les villes?

a part les hotels restos, tu peux chercher dans les camping, bars, parcs de loisirs, musées.
si tu n'aimes pas trop les grandes villes, il vaut mieux en effet éviter celles-ci, d'autant plus que Paris et Lyon ne sont pas les villes les plus touristiques l'été.
je te conseille la Bretagne car c'est ici que j'habite. tu pourras trouver le boulot que tu recherhces sur la côte, c'est une région très touristique. de plus, il n'y a pas de grandes villes. j'habite dans le morbihan (bretagne sud), si tu veux plus d'infos, n'hésites pas...

Je suis de Québec, mon fils veut aller travailler en l'Écosse et son anglais n'est pas très bon, mais nous regardons sur des site d'emploi et beaucoup de place n'exige pas que tu sois expert, surtout si tu travailles dans l'hôtellerie(en autant que tu ne vas pas serveur). De toute façon tu peux commencer par travailler en désservant les tables ou plongeur, assistant cuisinier ou concierge, beaucoup d'endroit offrent logés, nourris. Du moins les site que j'ai trouvé pour du travaille à Edinburgh je ne vois rien de trop compliquer.
Pour ce qui est du visa j'ai téléphoné au Consulat et tu as droit qu'à un seul visa de travail, mais si ton employeur veut te garder, alors il fait la demande et alors tu peux rester.
Si jamais tu décide de changer de direction fait signe!
Allo! Je crois pas changer de direction, mais j'aurais quelques interrogations qui me paraissent un peu banales et tres techniques...mais tout de même importantes. D'apres vous quelle est la meilleure methode pour les CV/recherche d'emploi. Est-ce que ça vaut la peine de partir avec une pile de CV (sans vraiment pouvoir y inscrire d'adresse et de numéro où me joindre en France) ou alors apporter une copie informatique et imprimer des copies une fois que j'aurai un toit et un telephone?? C'est une question qui j'avoue peut paraître un peu idiote...mais qui me tracasse. ALors si vous pouviez m'éclairer, me dire comment vous avez fonctionné, j'apprécierais ÉNORMÉMENT!!
Pour répondre à ton dernier mail... Prends les 2!! Quelques CV déjà imprimés (3 ou 4 pour l'urgent), et un CD avec ton CV que tu pourras imprimer dans n'importe quel ciber café! Et envoie t'en une copie à ta propre adresse e-mail, comme ça de n'importe où tu pourras imprimer et modifier ton CV!!

Je les ai faites 7 ans de suite chez les mêmes propriétaires, ils sont super. Les dernières années je t'avoue que c'était moins bien car ils ont eu du mal à trouver des vendangeurs. Mais les "bonnes années" ils peuvent sélectionner leur personnel, et on se retrouve à plein d'étudiants, c'est super, la fête pendant 10 jours!!
Je ne te garantie pas que te candidature sera retenue, mais ça vaut le coup d'essayer.
Et le Beaujolais c'est vraiment un chouette coin (d'ailleurs on retourne se marier là bas!!).

Mon fils français est parti s'installer en Irlande. Trouver un emploi est beaucoup plus facile et le niveau d'anglais ne pose pas de problème. Ses collègues italiens sont arrivés avec un niveau très bas et j'ai moi meme vu des employées espagnoles dans un restaurant qui balbutiaient l'anglais. de plus les irlandais sont très accueillants .

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).

Actually, I’m currently doing a postgraduate diploma in pediatric respiratory physiotherapy and want to specialize in that area. Anyway, that’s not the main point—could anyone explain the pros and cons of doing this job in Switzerland? Based on the paperwork I’ve received, the equivalence seems purely administrative or almost... What about working conditions, quality of life, salaries, etc.?
