Les appartements y sont moins chers que sur le bassin lémanique. Tu peux regarder ici : www.immostreet.ch ou www.homegate.ch pour tes recherches.
Les "locaux" seront bien plus sympathiques avec l'expat à Fribourg qu'à Genève, c'est certain. Mais à Genève c'est l'envahissement, avec tout ce que cela comporte, principalement le fait que le nouveau travailleur choisit de vivre en zone frontalière et garde donc des plaques d'immatriculation française. Même si c'est une ville internationale un très fort sentiment anti UE persiste. Un truc que je trouve assez sympathique lorsque l'on s'installe dans un nouvel endroit est de pendre une crémaillère en invitant ses voisins.... tous ne viendront pas, c'est certain, mais au moins ceux qui accepteront ton invitation te salueront par la suite. Et une autre manière de se faire vite des connaissances autres que nos collègues, c'est la société de gymnastique du coin... voir : www.stv-fsg.ch
A Fribourg tu ne devrais pas rencontrer ce style de problèmes, j'ai toujours entendu dire qu'il faisait bon y vivre, la population y est jeune (renommée université). Tu seras dans un canton bilingue (français-allemand) .
Ca craint nettement moins qu'en France c'est certain. Nous ne sommes pas le pays des bisounours, mais la violence n'existe pas ou peu. Il y a certainement à Fribourg, comme dans tous les cantons des quartiers à éviter à certaines heures de la nuit, mais bon, rien de grave, pas de voitures brûlées en cascade, peu de meurtres, etc...
Les températures... c'est sur que tu vas quitter la porte de la Provence pour un climat un peu plus rude. Actuellement la température sur le plateau et les préalpes, ou nous trouvons Fribourg, il y règne une température de 8 degrés.Cela baissera encore d'ici l'hiver, en principe en dessous de 0. Il peut y neiger en plaine. Ce qui malheureusement tant à disparaître avec le réchauffement. Au printemps il y fait doux et l'été peu être chaud, mais en moyenne compte 23/34 degrés.
Que te dire d'autre... que si tu aimes la neige et ses sports tu seras près de Charmey, mignonne petite station gruyèrienne, très familiale, avec de sympathiques et nouveaux bains thermaux. Un peu plus loin tu trouveras (toujours en pays francophone) le Valais avec ses stations de ski connues et reconnues, et si tu pars sur la suisse-alémanique tu trouveras les stations de Grindenwald, Interlaken, etc...). Si les sports aquatiques te tentent un peu plus le Lac Léman n'est pas si éloigné que cela.
Lorsque tu seras dans la région si l'envie ou le temps te le permets n'oublie pas de visiter notre capitale fédérale : Berne. Un bijou de petite ville...
La vignette te permettant de prendre nos autoroutes de coûtera CHF 40.-- pour une année complète, elle peut être apposée sur le pare-brise du véhicule, par exemple pour celle de 2009, dès le 1er décembre 2008 et restera valable jusqu'au 31 janvier 2010. Par contre utiliser nos autoroutes sans l'avoir peut coûter cher en cas de contrôle....

les salaires sont bons mais la vie coûte cher.
avec ton salaire toutefois, ça ira. Tu ne vas pas devenir millionaire, mais tu t'en sortiras sans problème, surtout sur Fribourg (vie moins chère que sur Vaud ou Genève)
par contre en effet à Fribourg il fait bon vivre, les gens sont ouverts & avenants.
A tout ce qui a été dit, j'ajouterais de voir le site www.comparis.ch pour trouver l'assurance maladie la moins chère si vous devez la payer en Suisse.
Sinon, avec les chiffres cités, sans voiture, cela devrait aller assez bien pour vivre à Fribourg.
