Pour les étrangers désirant travailler en Tunisie, les occasions et les opportunités d’embauche ne manquent pas. Ceci étant, il faut savoir que certaines dispositions légales et certaines conditions sont prévues par la législation pour les étrangers désirant travailler en Tunisie selon des conventions conclues entre la République Tunisienne et les pays étrangers.
Dans ses chapitres II « Emploi de la main-d’œuvre étrangère » et III « Immigration des travailleurs en Tunisie », le code de travail tunisien précise ces dispositions régies par les articles de 258 à 277.
Ce qu’il faut surtout savoir si l’on souhaite travailler en Tunisie, c’est que pour exercer un travail salarié de quelque nature qu’il soit, il faut être muni d’un contrat de travail et d’une carte de séjour portant la mention « autorisé à exercer un travail salarié en Tunisie » (Art. 258-2).
En ce qui concerne le contrat de travail, sa durée ne doit pas excéder un an et il est possible de le renouveler une seule fois. Ceci étant, lorsqu’il s’agit d’emploi d’étrangers dans leurs entreprises exerçant en Tunisie dans le cadre de réalisation de projets de développement agréés par les autorités compétentes, dans ce cas le contrat de travail peut-être renouvelé plusieurs fois (suite de l’Art.258-2).
Quant à la demande de la carte de séjour pour un étranger désirant travailler en Tunisie, elle est régie par la loi 68 – 7 du 08/03/1968 relative à la condition des étrangers et le décret n°92 – 716 du 20/04/1992 réglementant l’entrée et le séjour des étrangers en Tunisie.
Concernant les droits et obligations des travailleurs étrangers en Tunisie, d’après l’Arti. 263 du code de travail tunisien, ils bénéficient des mêmes droits et sont soumis aux mêmes obligations résultant des relations du travail et applicables au travailleur tunisien.
Pour ce qui est des étrangers nés en Tunisie et y résidant de manière permanente, ils sont dispensés du contrat de travail mais devront détenir une carte de séjour portant la mention « autorisé à occuper un emploi salarié en Tunisie » selon l’Art. 271 du code de travail tunisien.
Dans le cas des étrangers désirant travailler en Tunisie, ils doivent commencer par l’obtention du contrat de travail qui va ensuite leur permettre de demander la carte de séjour.
Pour faciliter les procédures aux étrangers désirant travailler en Tunisie, les différents consulats ont des cellules chargées de renseigner sur les différentes procédures et les droits et obligations de leurs ressortissants qui souhaitent s’installer et travailler en Tunisie.

Je suis française et je travaille en Tunisie depuis maintenant presque 3 mois. Je n'avais également aucun contact là-bas et je ne sais pas dans quoi vous travaillez mais parfois, en regardant les annonces faites sur les sites d'emploi, on peut trouver (en tout cas, c'est comme ça que mon employeur m'a trouver, j'avais laisser une annonce avec pour région de prédilection : France ou étranger. Ce petit détail a fait le reste.). Essayez les annonces en premier, parfois on trouve des trucs sympa !

bonjour, tunis est une super ville, les banlieu les plus chicos sont la marsa, les berges du lac...moi je vis à bizerte (si j'ai bien compris tu connais), je vis ici depuis 6 ans et l'integration n'est pas toujours facile (je ne suis pas tunisienne!!!!) mais bon on s'y fait. RE, Je pense qu'il est effectivement plus facile de vivre et travailler à tunis, car aprés tout, ca reste la capitale, donc plus d'opportunité. En ce qui me concerne mon mari est chirurgien à bizerte c'est pour cela qu'on s'est installé à bizerte. j'ai fais un petit séjour en Tunisie avec ma mère et nous avons fait tout le tour de ce beau pays. Je dois dire que je suis tombée littéralement amoureuse de ses paysages, de sa culture, de ses gens qui finalement me ressemblent beaucoup. Je suis mauricienne mais née en france et le retour fut difficile. Je me suis rendue compte que l'on courait après le temps, après l'argent mais finalement l'essentiel n'est peut etre pas là. J'ai fais la rencontre de gens qui m'ont fait écho à mon pays d'origine. J'aimerai beaucoup y travailler et y vivre quelques temps et pourquoi plus si tout se passe bien.

sur internet.....
Et en demandant sur place, il est facile de trouver des locations.
A savoir, il faut faire légaliser le bail de location à la mairie de lieu avec le propriétaire et se rendre
au commissariat du domicile, avec une photocopie du passeport, une photo d'identité,
et le bail LEGALISE .
Si plus de 3 mois de séjour, obtenir la carte de séjour.....A demander avant la fin des 3 mois !!

Oui, il est bien vrai qu'un tel voyage se prépare doucement. J'ai déjà à tout organiser à Toulouse en premier lieu. J'ai une dernière question concernant le logement. Je ne connais pas les us et coutumes, pour une personne étrangère qui souhaiterait s'y installer quelques temps, est il faisable de prendre un appartement seule? Ou bien la colocation serait plus judicieux?? Je ne sais pas si on a l'habitude d'y voir des étrangers vivant seule?? Je sais que chez moi cela se fait mais ca reste minoritaire.
